Question regarding a used car with defective rear bearing

Dear Motor Talk community, I am about to decide to buy a 15 year old diesel with 260,000 KM. The interesting thing about the offer is that within the last year some repertures were made on the car, among other things, the turbocharger was also replaced, the vehicle has been almost continuously stapled. However, the description also says that the backstocking would make noises. I guess that the previous owner enough of the Rep I would really be interested in the car, but I live just over 300 km away and have the fear (as a layman) that there might be something on the gearbox. Do you think you could see by the noises, or by the behaviour of the clutch / circuit whether the gearbox has also suffered greater damage? If so, I would like to go to the TÜV, the Dekra or to a workshop, so that someone with Experience would look at the vehicle (and if possible also drive). Thank you very much and have a nice Friday to all of you!
