Servus with each other, My S40 (II, 2007, 124,000km) is getting louder and louder when driving. Is such a roll-off noise of the tires, comes rather from the front. Somehow the noise is always there, but I think a little depending on the outside temperature and the speed. At 50/60 km/h it is zbsp relatively loud and I have the feeling that the car is somehow “raw” on the road surface, the chassis may even be very little vibrating (but can also be imaginable). On the AB also this roll-off noise (monoton, almost like in the train), steering wheel calm. The tires are Pirelli Cinturato P7, at the front they are relatively far down, about 1.5 to 2mm in front of the brand. No big saw teeth visible. At the back the tires have much more profile, but visible saw teeth. Why the profile depths are different I don’t know, ride the car only since February or 20,000 km. The question is now the tires or the wheel bearings? How can I recognize this by simple means? If I just have to get the tires and I don’t have a good time, I have the tyre.
