Hello dear Kawa friends, have the problem on my 6er, which after a few days the battery is empty. Unfortunately came with the start aid with the plus pole to the frame what it has sparked something. It was clearly found in the workshop that the ECU pulls out about 0.2A when the ignition is off.The ECU is otherwise absolutely ok! The (renomated Kawa dealer) said the best would be a switch or a relay before the ECU fuse. I then wanted to do that myself. I have the problem that I do not know what kind of relay I take best and how reliable such a relay is. After all, the power supply of the ECU depends on it. In the workshop manual I have seen that there is an ECU relay already from factory, for what is it good, because the ECU obviously also has a connection to the battery without ignition. My questions would therefore be: 1. How reliable is a relay and would a switch be better after all? Do I have to with failures in the case of ground waves 2. What kind of relay is best suited (brand, model)? Would take the switching current off of the license plate. 3. For what is the standard ECU relay? Thank you!
