Hello, with the Valeo alternator of my Audi, it’s clapping, I’ve already changed grinding rings, regulators, rim disc and two bearings and it’s still making the noise, what else do you think can be the cause? I’m also sure it’s coming from the alternator, because I bought a general overhaul and it doesn’t happen, but with the general overhaul it whistles, so also not quite fine. Actually, only the stator should come into question, but still wanted to n Ask your opinion before I buy it. Mfg

Brake Discs Check
Hello dear people, I looked at an Opel Astra J 2013 at the FOH today. I’m not sure if my assessment was correct; however, I was a little scared about the condition of the brake discs at the price of about 9,000€ (about 90TKm mileage) (also the front tyres had virtually no profile, well). I have attached some pictures, maybe you can confirm my perception. Thank you in advance.

Ignition spark in the candle not between mass electrode and medium electrode.
Servus (me again), I was on the road with the scooter for about 30 minutes. Once I got home, I thought I would turn off the engine immediately and look at the candle picture when it has cooled down a little. I did that and that’s how the spark plug looks like. (See photo) Then I screwed it back in again. This morning the scooter didn’t want to go to work. Angry, but good then just with my wife’s scooter. Now just try to turn it on. I made the candle out, it didn’t show a spark in the front at first glance. When I looked more closely, I see a spark overlay in the inside of the candle. (if you look in front) The candle is a quite fresh NGK B9ES for my Piaggio scooter NRG DT POWER. I drove about 150 km. Well thought what to do, there is still a new replacement candle. Previously tested, against mass and ignition spark is present at the top. This new candle inserted. Roll. It’s wet and smells like fuel. However, the wet is a bit of anthracite color? The spark is no longer in front of the new candle, but in the candle. Now I’m a bit perplexed? Setting carburettor, standing gas was made at the workshop 2 weeks ago. Since then it has been running well, except for the gas acceptance problems already mentioned in another thread when I drive over a pothole or a bumpy road. What could it be? che Kerze? CDI? (but changed) Ignition cable? (but changed) Air filter? (but changed) Carburettor is new and running. The scooter has been in the workshop 4 times for 2 years, because it has been drunk or turned up again and then is drunk and can not be started after that. So I am constantly pushing home at the scooter, about 600 euros poorer, but the scooter still has a problem.

BMW 1200GS New water buffalo
Hello municipality Was yesterday at the Itermot in Cologne, and I looked at the new BMW GS with water cooling. Drive a GS1200 of 2010, personally I don’t like the new one as well as I find BMW more and more oriented towards the competition, the former independence of the BMW with the GS presented remains on the track. In the obligatory seating test I could not notice any differences with the old GS, this has remained in my opinion. Be sure to test them if the part is at the BMW dealer. What’s your opinion, BMW hit it back in the black again. Raimund

Battery not charging [Kallio 50]
Hello, a topic that has certainly been created many times. But I couldn’t really help reading it yet. It’s a Kallio 50 with about 13,000km. Problem: The battery is no longer charged. I always build it up after driving and then charge it with a charger itself. If it’s too strong when driving, then I notice this by the fact that the scooter is stuttering or is running out shortly before. Perhaps as a preliminary remark: I had Pr obleme with my oil pump. But this is now repaired. During the repair I saw that the alternator was completely soaked with oil. I measured the voltage with connected battery and running motor: Voltage at idle: 12,1V. This does not change when turning up and full gas at all. When blinking, the voltage collapses to 10V. Voltage of the battery (not connected): 12,2V. Light works without problems. The scooter jumps even without Pro bleme an. Can I assume that the alternator has a defect in the area that is responsible for the charge?! Can I just check that? Thank you for your answers.

Help with scooter choice: Used from 125ccm
Hello dear MotorTalk community, I would like to introduce myself just before I ask my question. I am the Flo, come from Passau and am a young 39 years young. I already read with a time and have now signed up here with me. I liked the wide list of this forum very much and also the members all seem very nice. Now to my question. Since my wife is pregnant, I would like to leave her the car home now and for the work path, shopping and occasional Über In my research I have come to the conclusion that a 125 is sufficient and the upper limit is about 300cc. Since I have workshops of the brands, BMW, Honda, Peugeot, Kymco and Piaggio in the near surroundings, I have also reduced myself to these brands in the search. BMW flies out due to the prices already. I have up to 1600 euros left for a scooter and Peugeot must have slowed down qualitatively, whereby the Satelis comes as pure from the space already there, as I imagine. With Honda is possibly a good used S-Wing still in the budget. Here one reads a lot of good, but the 4000 km service intervals scare me off somewhat. Is that still timely? For that probably already has a combination ABS. At Kymco one probably has price-performance technically The K-XCT seems to fall into the frame of the used ones in price. I am not exceptionally big with my 1.83m and should have little problems in terms of space. Since we don’t live in the lowlands, the scooter should have at least enough punch. I don’t have to be the fastest, but the scooter should at least not starve on steep mountains. Since I haven’t driven any scooters since my old PX125, I also have relatively little idea from what f I have to pay attention to the purchase. Maybe you can help me here, say something about my selection, or have still models on the screen. I have tried to read through the forum. Here there is a thread that has been closed but and otherwise some that are at least two years old. If I have forgotten anything, I can’t wait. Greetings from Passau

Total overburden when buying scooters
Hello, I hope you can help me here and give me advice that no one can take the decision from me is also clear to me. But maybe someone has good experiences and knows different brands. At the moment I drive a Kymco scooter that has made only trouble from the beginning and is now written down after just 12,000 km. That’s why I am looking for a new scooter, only this variety of suppliers and possibilities overburdens me to the highest degree e. I have to say that I have absolutely 0.0 idea of all motorized means of forward movement which makes the thing even harder for me. What do I need: -a reliable scooter that doesn’t have to go to the workshop every few weeks -drive in good weather 5 days a week 13 km to work (a total of about 26km a day) – didn’t necessarily want to spend more than 2000€ That was actually it, originally I wanted to decide for the Peugeot Kisbee, alternatively stood the Piaggio Z ip to choose from, but I have often been able to experience problems with these scooters in my research, which now make me extremely insecure, since I don’t want to have such a disaster scooter as with my kymco. Does anyone have experience with one of the two scooters or could alternatively suggest a good scooter? Thank you very much in advance.

Which car is suitable for me?
Hello, my Opel Corsa b has unfortunately given up the spirit (Km-Stand: ca. 200.000). A repair seems not to be possible. There are 2 cylinder head seals through and also in the pistons a very different compression (Riss in the cylinder?). Since I absolutely need a car I ask myself now what makes sense. Does it make sense to buy and install a used engine? I have seen that there is already for 2-300 Euro. Only how long do this last? I drive i What also bothered me with the Opel, that it consumes a lot of fuel because something was wrong. Would that be different with a “new” used engine? Or should I better buy a new car? If so, which one? I need the car both a lot for city traffic and often for highway routes. It should have at least 70-80 (or more) hp but still consume as little fuel as possible and must not be too expensive in insurance and maintenance. What would be nice if it had comfortable seats (would also have to buy comfortable seats afterwards and have them installed by a friend). It should be as quiet as possible in the car. It needs at least a trunk as large as the Opel Corsa b. It should have 4-5 seats and you should be able to sit well in the rear seats (not like in the Opel Astra where the rear seat is very straight and d you don’t have space for the legs) I have a maximum of 7000 € available. I don’t necessarily need an integrated navigator. There are still a few things that are nice to have but don’t have to be: seat heating four rings a foldable back bench to transport even bigger things What I don’t like are cars like: Ford, Nissan, Renault ideas that I have are: A medium-old VW Polo, which is still good in shot A newer Kia (so up to 5 years old) An older A3 Bin ab he is open to all advice and ideas and I am very happy about your help. If I still think of anything, I simply complete it.

Everyday combi for 3000€
Hello guys, my wife, my daughter & I want to get us a new car. It has to be a station wagon. We were in the Mercedes car dealership on Friday and are the C class(2012) & E class (2012) test cars. The E class has torn us from the stool. But for us still Audi A6(2011) & BMW 5’er (the new) would be in question. We have to finance the car. The car should hold for 8 years. I think there are no bad choices. First question: Would you go to a bank Then another question: I let myself be told that Mercedes has a lot of electrical problems. I haven’t found out about the others yet. ABer maybe you can tell me which problems are most common with the 3 AUtos. E Class: 220 CDI A6: 2.0 Diesel 5èr: 520d Many greetings
