  • Question to engine builders / engineers using example VW engine

Why are such large openings for the coolant flow/cooling circuit cast in cylinder heads (here at Volkswagen VR6) and parallel to this in the engine block below when the flow speed of the coolant is reduced by the use of a cylinder head seal (ZKD, here one of Victor Reinz) in such a measure that pressure bumps in the ZKD occur in high heat and the coolant inevitably pushes under the seal due to the pressure ??? Are the reductions in the ZK D intention to make the head ect. /stick seals/ventiles not so hot? What would happen if the existing openings were taken over by the cylinder head and engine block in the cylinder head seal 1:1? Can anyone contribute to this to the enlightenment? Thank you Greetings furniture box

  • Sell a car with Chiptuning/Downpipe – watch out for what?

Hello, I want to sell my BMW. A chip tuning has already been done on this one. This was done on the control unit itself and nothing else was installed. Also a downpipe was installed. Nothing of this is registered. I would like to inform the dealer before the sale about the conversions. Is it enough if one holds these in the purchase contract, so that I can no longer adhere to it afterwards? Or do I have to undo the conversions in order to later no problems Thank you very much for your help! Sincerely

  • only 1 key available – why are so many keys lost from used cars ?

Hello, I’ve been looking for a little used car for me for several weeks now. From 2005 and until 2000,-€ I’ve already had a lot of phone calls and I’ve already visited a car. Since my visit (dealer), where there were only 1 key with radio and one without radio, I always ask how many keys are available and then I find out that there is often only 1 key. It seems quite strange to me that a key can be lost, ok. But these only 1 key -Situation seems to be almost standard with the commercial dealers. This is so often that I have the impression that something is wrong here. I haven’t lost a key in my whole life (ü50) yet. Neither car nor other keys. They are treated and kept with the utmost care like all important documents. And I assume that this is the case with most other drivers. How is it with you? How are your experiences and experiences? and opinions on this?

  • Subaru Impreza Built 2013 650€ realistic?

Dear Foren Community, since I am forced to sell our Subi because of a new purchase, I wanted to ask at what price I can offer it here. To the vehicle: Subaru Impreza 1.6i Active mileage 88,000 TÜV up to 06/2022 https://suche.mobile.de/…/details.html?… Absolutely reliable, economical vehicle, it is only sold because we soon got family growth and bought a larger one. Service was always made and registered. It has 2 faults : – a dent in the right rear fender, but very manageable and no rust. – Climate compressor defective The local Subaru dealer of which we had the car at that time offered us 4000, but that seems a little less to me. Are 650€ realistic? I would be happy about some opinions, or maybe someone also has interest in the vehicle. It stands in 98574 Schmalkalden

  • Dealers want to sell semi-finished cars

I want to buy a used one in the next few weeks. I’m a relaxed type. But a little surprised. That the “TÜV” is only made after the purchase contract signature. OK. That there are still necessary repairs to be done. OK. That this is only mentioned casually on site. OK. That various error messages occur at the start. OK. That cars sometimes look better in Natura even happens more often. I’m not angry. I’m surprised. But “almost” all dealers are likeable types with which I’d drink a beer, not necessarily buy a car.

  • Problems with re-registration

Servus, I sold my old car last week. Now the buyer has the problem that his road traffic office does not want to allow the vehicle because the change on the chassis is not registered. Right: This is not in the appearance yet. But there is the registration of the DEKRA with the note that the change has to be made. However, this is enough if the StVA has to be visited the next time, e.g. with an address or holder change, which is the case now. J The last TÜV appointments were also never a problem. The examiner only asked what was with the chassis and after the presentation of the acceptance everything was again good. Chassis was taken off in 2014 directly after installation. Can one explain the problem?

  • Golf 7 GTI vs Audi A3 1.8 TFSI

Hello dear community! Now I have excluded all possible variants and still have to decide between 2 cars! Which of the two cars would you order? The Golf 7 GTI or the new Audi a3 1.8 TFSI???? Both look fantastic in my eyes! The GTI of course has the advantage that it is still a lot cheaper… you get much more for less money (eg 40 or even 50 HP more)…even the interior and cockpit I find over the a3 at least gle However, Audi is Audi! Can you actually compare a little to Samsung and Apple…you pay extremely hard for the image… I put 4 pictures in the attachment…like that I would want to order the car…. Difficult all this!

  • Quick combos searched

Moin. I’m still driving a Ford Focus tournament 1.6 year 11/2001 I’m very happy with the car only the 100hp have become too little. And that’s why I want to get a new used one at the end of 2013/beginning of 2014. So far I’ve been looking for a small Ford fanboy already 2 nice combinations. 1. Ford Focus tournament ST170 2.0Liter 4 cylinders with 173hp 2. Ford Mondeo tournament ST220 3.0Liter V6 with 226hp I’ve also driven a Mondeo before and I also liked it very much. only unfortunately not as ST220 Now I wanted to ask again if you know any other cars to perform the similar performance (pleasure more ). Up to ~5500€ I would sheet. 600€ would be my absolute limit and even if I like the car very much. And what I should perhaps mention is that I don’t care about the consumption in itself but more than 15L/100Km should not consume it either. And I don’t want to drive a VW, Opel and French cars! V W usually looks too boring for me and I don’t like VW either. With Opel it’s probably mainly because of the image but I also drove an Insignia and Omega B and that didn’t really convince me. With the French the look doesn’t appeal to me at all. Dangers I have a Peugeot 308 as a combo for once. I also noticed that the shit can be turned on that came to me too wimpy over. So I think that was it and hope that i I haven’t forgotten anything

  • Resign from the contract of sale?

Hello community, we bought last week a Ford Focus (Bj 2012, 21,000km) from a Ford dealer from the area. To the test drive we got a black Ford Focus of the Champions Edition with all kinds of extras. The seller promised us to get the same car (with the same extras) in red. Three days later this was there, contract was signed, car picked up and registered. The buyer noticed the following problem at home: the car has been contrary to the s Although the seller had promised us the same equipment, the purchase contract of the car only says that it should have an automatic climate control. Nevertheless, we are disappointed, because some important extras are missing which have been promised to us! What can we do? Purely legally? Resign from the purchase contract? Or are we with such a lack at a What does the official legal situation look like? How would you handle such a thing? Thanks for the answers!
