    Hello. I’m new to the forum – I’ve looked around a bit but found no such correct answer to my question. We are in the selection phase for a new (family) car and have come via the Cirtoen C4 Picasso to the Ford C-Max and now to the Focus combo (in the Champions Edition). Everything rather annual car, offered by the dealer. By saving and the insurance sum for our total damage, we currently have about 16,000 available. Before in another family a room was available. But we don’t really get to the Ford, even though we can pay the sum immediately. Sometimes 300-400€ but that’s what I mean. Even with the cars before, there was never really much to get. What is this about? Can I suddenly negotiate worse than before? Or have times changed like this? I’m confused … Thank you, Nobu

    Hello, I am currently driving a 50hp Polo 3 door. In itself a great car…but I have family with 2 children, so now a bigger one has to come. My biggest problem is, however, that I don’t want to spend much (max. 3000 Euro). I want to drive the car as a transition for the next 2 max. 3-4 years and then get something newer. I have 2 offers at present: Passat 1.6 petrol year 1999 190,000 km for 1900 Euro and Passat 2.3 V5 year 1998 180.000 km for 2400 Euro both TrÜV new. d the former has the problem, that in a few places the clear varnish breaks down a bit, but would be a purely optical flaw. The rest is fine. The second one I would probably access, but the fuel consumption should be rather high. Now I can master myself quite well while driving and also do not have to board the highway with 180 kmh. My driving performance at the moment is 10,000 km/year. What would you recommend to me and what do you think there are for alternatives? Thank you. mfG, Hansi

    Hello dear forum, I have been reading with you for some time and have decided to ask the experts here in the forum for advice. I would like to buy a car in the small car to Komaktbereich. I don’t care about brand as long as it is a good car (where I prefer German cars). I drive under 10,000 km a year, would like to have at least 100 hp +-, as much equipment as possible and as little driven KM as possible. Basically I’m more a comfort person, but over an agile Fah I would be happy to overtake it sometimes. I drive 80% in the city and sometimes motorway to get to the next bigger city ( 20-40 KM). Then it would be important to me that in the first years there is no damage to the vehicle. Is certainly always a bit difficult for used cars but tend to the car should not be so vulnerable to damage. Ultimately, the maintenance of the vehicle should not blow up the frame either. . Cars I like are 1.2 Golf VI or a new Polo. I also like the new Seat Ibiza or the New Beetle. But I am grateful for any kind of suggestion. If you need more information, just ask. Greetings Marco

    Hello dear motor-talk municipality, I would like to wash my car myself soon (finally again) and grow up myself for the first time. Now I noticed a hard wax at the Aral tank of my trust with this “NanoShine” technology. Since I am very satisfied with the nano-certificate from the washing machine at Aral, I hope of course similar or better results with the Do-It-Yourself variant. Has anyone perhaps already gained experience with this product? Or ha Are you good alternatives? Rejoice me for answers!

  • Set HD Breakout with Jekyll and Hyde in Workshop Mode

    Moin, I just got my breakout from the dealer. Now it’s Saturday and the dealer is closed. I have a Jekyll and Hyde with the electr. Can-bus system. First you could switch through three steps with the electronic switch red green/red flashing and green (so open). That’s no longer possible. The dealer said that you would have to switch on the workshop mode of the J+H via a switch combination. Someone knows the switch combination and you can use it in normal operation at all. I find it partly quite good to drive at half volume. Would be nice if someone could help me on the fast. Greeting Jörg

  • The eternally navigating 4-speed transmission

    Moin, has anyone found the ultimate solution against the eternally leaky main shaft on the old 4-speed gearbox? Flow grease does not come in, so I killed the main shaft 4 years ago. Mine is an 81er dome gearbox with 1 1/2″ belt and primary sheet metal. A support for the main shaft has always been there. Because of the replica gearbox: A buddy bought a new Rev-Tech last year, what should I say, it’s pissing again. mfg Miller
