  • Noise during load change

Hello guys, I drive a Heritage Softail Evo Bj. 96. has run about 37tkm. I have the problem that when changing the load, so when switching and when you go rough from the gas, it sounds like if the clutch would slip short. But the clutch does not slip through, without problems and without power losses I can drive 160km/h. But I still installed new lamellas. Didn’t do anything. During the further test, the primary chain, starting rear silencer and clutch rack was beaten. These were damaged because the chain was not tight enough. This would also be renewed. Also the bearing of the primary box was renewed. At the front Pulley everything is ok. What’s still striking is that at the first start, switching in the 2nd gear is very difficult. Only after the first 300-500 m it can be switched. At the work we noticed that the clutch rod in the main shaft was rusty, we made it clean, greased and installed again. Now bin ic My screwdriver said that could be the gearbox. But that’s just a guess. He meant it could have broken the spring. What I still suspect is that I have installed new rims on me. But I didn’t control the escape of the belt. I’m not sure if the belt has to be moved more outwards. Can’t imagine, however, that the belt only causes such noises when changing loads or taking away gas. What could it be?

  • Cold or warm?

At the end of the year the oil changes are coming up again. I always make the trouble and drive the car warm before I drain the oils. With the engine oil this is certainly also very useful. However, with my Fat Boy Evo I have to dismantle the exhaust to get to the exhaust screw of the transmission oil. Therefore I ask myself whether it is really necessary with the primary oil and transmission oil. The drain screws are in both cases down, maybe it takes time in the cold condition only longer. In a workshop this certainly won’t matter either. Or?

  • Presentation of future Harley driver (hopefully)

Good day dear forum community, I signed up in the forum because I am currently looking for a Harley and have already found many helpful topics here. And since you imagine, if you join a new community, I am doing this: I am Chris, 42, come from Berlin and actually dream of a Harley since my driving license. I play drums in a rock band, love Metal/Punk/Goth-Rock and am a father – so the nickname should be explained as well The last 2 years I’ve rented a Fat Bob (2016) and a Street Bob (2018). At the moment I tend to be Fat Bob and I’ve already had the experience to get to know a windy importer and his sales arguments. Thanks to the valuable hints here in the forum I didn’t buy. So I’m still looking. I’m mostly not the active advisor, lack of experience, but I like to read with you. VG, Rocking Dad / Chris

  • No!….don’t worry about it.

As usual with the VW group, the intern was now allowed to go to the drawing board at GM and an ugly small car with a 85 cui 4 cylinder mots came out. In itself, as with other manufacturers, this exists in times of downsize madness. http://www.motorauthority.com/…/…pt-preview-2012-detroit-auto-show For me, the whole thing now, however, to call CHEVELLE, is bordered by blasphemy http://www.motorauthority.com/…/…t-chevelle-set-for-a-comeback?… Dear Auto-God, if you exist… v give to those who do not know what they are doing and give us:http://stwot.motortrend.com/…/1970-Chevrolet-Chevelle-SS-454.jpg

  • Vehicle refinancing

Hello together, maybe someone can give me some information so that I don’t run directly into the “open” knife. My car dealer approached me because of another car… First of all, I bought a car 11/2008, but financed… The total amount of money is a little over 8000 euros. So 13 months I pay now to about 136 €. Now I think about because bigger inspections and works are pending, if I don’t refinance the car… Specifically it’s the Golf 4, the i Now I have to exchange golf 6 for an annual car.. Somehow this seems too expensive for me… According to DAT, the car has a value of 4800 €. But the new one is supposed to cost 17800 €. If I now count 13x 136 € I come to a little more than 1700 €. But with that I still have to finance 7000 €… So if this is to work, then the VW dealer would have to give me the 7000 that are still open so that I could finance the new one at all… I can’t just almost 18000 pay. I wonder, because it seems a bit utopian to me… Is that even possible? I don’t want to pay two cars at the end or overfinance it. Then I leave it… Does someone have experience and could give me valuable tips? Thank you… Best regards, Jimmy

  • Bafa – copy of the vehicle registration of the old car

Hello, I have a question to unsubscribe from the vehicle: The car dealership registers my end-of-life vehicle for me. But now I don’t know if they think that for the complete documentation to the Bafa you also need a copy of the vehicle certificate of the end-of-life vehicle with the inscription of the off-load operation. Is not such a large car dealership, do not know how many applications have already made for the Bafa… What happens to the normally with the vehicle registration at the sign-off? Is it not necessary to have the proof of utilization before the end-of-life vehicle can be permanently removed from service? As far as I know, the car dealership has deregistered my old golf on Friday. But it has not been scrapped yet, which is still on the yard of the car dealership. If no one has thought about it, how would I now get the required copy of the vehicle certificate with the note of the suspension for the Baf a? Think of the car dealership this is pretty straight, is only about my money…. I have already paid the new one completely… Will the vehicle registration certificate be retained and deposited by the registration authority or will it be destroyed immediately? I can see that something is going wrong and the documents are not completed at the end.

  • Purchase of new cars through intermediaries

Hello together, I intend to buy a new car in the near future and have received here in the forum a reference to intermediaries (J+K; APL; Intercar24; etc.) for new car contracts. However, an acquaintance advises me from such thoughts, according to his statement these vehicles are not comparable with those of the local car dealer and possibly cause problems afterwards with customer service and warranty claims. r, however, I can read nothing particularly striking. Question: Who are the experiences of the forum members with car purchases through intermediaries. I wish everyone a nice evening.
