Hi there, I’m new here and I’m trying to get into the subject of scooters. Ride Skoda Octavia Kombi so far and have driving licence class B. So 50ccm Move in August and then have 6km to work, to Schrebergarten 3km and to my parents 15km overland. I go with a size of 203cm and a combat weight of 110kg in race For weekend trips or in summer to my parents I would like to take my girlfriend with me, so there should be some space. S A scooter that looks a bit retro. I sat yesterday at the dealer’s Vespa LX50, it’s already something. My girlfriend fit with it, but a few centimetres more seat would not be bad. On the net I came across Kymco now like 50 or LX50, but had no opportunity to sit here. Now probably the biggest problem, because of the move to my own home only a limited budget is available. The price should be at <1,000€ l iegen. I prefer around 800€, how you can go out rather something used. I didn't get shot at the two brands, but optically they are already what I'm looking for. 45km/h drive the 50ccm, with a new year of construction all, right? Have I forgotten any other basic important statements information? Already thank you in advance! Greetings

Is it possible to exchange the damage-free rebates?
I try to explain it as uncomplicatedly as possible: My stepfather (respectively my mother’s husband) has 45 in the HP and 80 in the UK (who once belonged to my real father, but were transferred because of B-tariff from the stepfather, so that my car is cheap…he is now also holder). My (real) father has a discount of 30% each, but currently uses this only for his old VW Polo…now we have the following: My stepfather assures my transitional car with the insurance (or at the insurance office), my father is also insured. We want to “change” the percentages (either during the insurance period or when my newer comes), i.e. my father takes the discounts from my stepfather, in return my father gives his percentages to my stepfather…so a change! Is that possible? I mean, 3 years ago we already gave the percentages from my father to my stepfather…and there existed/is no family bond…is such a ta we know the insurance fuzzi very well, have there all other insurances run (both my father as well as me). So is this generally feasible or absolutely excluded? Hope I have not been too confused now 😉

4th Gen Camaro V6 as first car
Hello Motor-Talk-Community, Over one and a half years ago I fell in love with the Camaro of the 4th generation. An appealing purchase price, a very nice design in my eyes and typical American sound. Now I have recently finished my training in the trade and get into my professional life. I am 19 years old and am just acquiring my driver’s license. So I am looking for my first car. Now my questions: – Do I actually get a V6 for about 5,000€ maro in a good condition? – Is the maintenance actually as high as many claim? (It’s worth me, I know it certainly won’t be a cheap fun; stay in my mini apartment) – Would you trust the car to a novice? – What tips can you give me on the way? What should I pay attention to? Best regards, Justin

Purchase advice: Escalade vs. Navigator
Hello, I hope the topic has landed in the right forum. We are looking for a large and robust third-party car for the holiday. The SUV is driven about 3. – 4.000 KM per year, the consumption is therefore to be neglected. More important to us are at least 4 single seats, a large interior width and (if the 3rd bench is extended) a large trunk. As “every day car” would be enough for us e.g. a VW Touareg/BMW X5, only for the holiday or the large purchase is the trunk too small for us…. “normal” Cadillac Escalade or the Lincoln Navigator noticeably more space??? (length/width) or should you rather take the long version? Who knows about these cars? (It will probably be a model from 2005/2006 – so not the whole new one!) On the paper the Cadillac sounds better: 6.0 instead of 5.4 liters V8, about 40hp more and also a lower consumption – the only PLUS with the Navigator is the German ZF 6-speed automatic…. which unfortunately does not show up with the consumption bem imaginable 🙁 During the 1-2 holidays per year we also drive to Eastern Europe, the cars with dirt roads, bad roads and deep potholes get along well? (It will NOT be the Rally Paris-Dakar – but many holes in the asphalt!) What do you say about Skid-Plate packages? Does a US import make a rust precaution useful? We ask for advice, tips and recommendations of all kinds! PS: Alternatively we might also be interested in a Chrysler Aspen or GMC Yukon Denali XL… but what about the leather, Ho Izdekor and the feel-good factor should Cadillac and Lincoln offer “something more” – or ???

Van for USA tour 2000€
Good day MT community, I had some questions about a USA tour that I planned for the coming year with two friends. We are all around the 18.19 years old. The plan is to fly to my aunt to Seattle, buy a van for about 2000€, get in front of a third seat or exchange the passenger seat through a wider bench (if that is possible) and then convert the rear part to sleep and as a storage space expedient and fast. Question I ask myself is whether it is possible to drive a van for 2000€ about 15,000 kilometers through America without getting too big problems and possibly also which van offers itself for such a project. I hope you can help me further, thanks and greetings, Max

15€ for 1 litre 2 bar of oil? Are you going to be cheaper? Yes, you can!!
I find 15€ or more for fully synth. or around 10€ for partly synth. Oil for 1 litre much too expensive. Therefore, the search for cheap shopping sources made me. First I was in the DIY stores. But there the oil was only little cheaper than at the tank. At least where I was. Above all, I found only 1 litre canister. Why is there no 5 liter canister??. So I researched and informed intensively on the net and learned so much. So that all what I have posted here one before, 2 bar oils should meet the following standards:API TC, JASO FB, ISO-L-EGB oils which do not meet these standards I would probably not take personally. What does not mean, however, that you should be absolutely bad. I do not want to start a discussion here ala “synthetic vs. partial synthesizers” or similar. Here it is only about favorable sources of supply and possible experiences with the ever found sources. for all those who want to know more about 2 bar oils, here is a very interesting and informative link:Knowledge about 2 bar oils Cheap Where to buy:Full synthetic – Actually only necessary for very powerful 2 clocks.Tire direct – High Performer 2-stroke oil fully synthetic from 4,90€ per litre + Shipping TOTAL RACING 2T 1 litre 5,99€ + ShippingPartial synthetic – For most 2 clocks absolutely sufficientTire direct – High Performer 2-stroke oil partly syntheti sch from 3,20€ per litre + shipping Partial synthetic two-stroke oil MZ406 5L 19,99€ (1 litre 4.00€) + shippingPartial synthetic two-stroke oil MZ406 20L 69,99€ (1 litre 3.50€) incl. shippingMineral 2 measure oil is hardly worth it in my opinion because it is only about 0,50 – 1€ per litre cheaper than partly synthetic. Even at 1000km of driving performance per month you save the highest 1€. On the other hand, if you have several 2 measurers in use and have to watch on every euro….. That’s why I list the cheapest 2 measure Oil that I found. Maybe already has an experience with it and can post you here. Maybe it is good after all. I like to be surprised. 2,40€ are already very cheap. 2-stroke motor oil – Universal 20 liter 47,99€ (1 liter 2,40€) + shipping Post your sources and experiences.

Tint spray black-transparent for rear lights/blinker housing/windshield experiences?
Hi, would like to sound a little darker on my scooter, but you should also be able to see something of the light, so rather discreet. I would then join the panel, but it can then also be a little darker. If you need two different tint sprays, or then apply to the panel several times until the desired result has been achieved. What do you take best? Dupli-Color? Thank you and Gruss

SV 50 doesn’t pull right
Moin, now the ignition spark is finally there and it is running, but it is still not suitable for driving. The scooter has stood for about 5 months, is almost 20 years old and has over 13kkm. After approx. 20 meters (full) gas it simply does not pull anymore and goes into idle. If you then turn on the gas, the engine reacts briefly, but then is immediately idle again. It does not go out. The carburettor has already been cleaned. What could it be about? Greetings
