  • Aprilia SR50 ’09 Piaggio engine – does not take full throttle

Hello together, I took over from an acquaintance an Aprilia SR50 scooter that stood a little over a year, mostly outside. It is a year 2009, the “newer” model with Piaggio engine and Dell’orto PHVA 17.5 carburettor, 3200 km. The scooter did not start at first. The following was done by now: – Carburettor removed, disassembled and cleaned and new sealing kit installed – E-Choke tested – Intake nozzles exchanged for original part (was cracked) – Air filter g The carburettor is in serial configuration (53 HD, 32 ND, needle clip at the top). Since the above mentioned actions the scooter jumps well again and runs in idle. But from a middle gas position the drive simply breaks away, I think there is no fuel. Full gas does not work at all. with a lot of feeling you get half gas at 40 km/h according to T acho. The candle picture looks great, is deer brown, tends to be even a little darker – in my opinion for a 2-stroker very good. Normally this would be a clear thing, something with the main nozzle. But it is definitely free. What else could that be? What strange was: the float chamber seal was leaking. I changed it. However, the drain screw was also fixed or glued in. Can this be a cause? The side nozzle in the float chamber was also free. I am now a little bit baffled and would be happy about a few tips on how to continue. Thank you very much!

  • Vespa PK 50 XL bj. 1991 – Inspections

Hello guys, I’ve been standing in the garage for years, but I haven’t done an inspection or anything like that yet. Since 2007 I’ve been mostly in the garage (about 100km/year) I’d like to know what are the inspection intervals and what do they include? Furthermore, after this long time, what do you think would have to be done on the scooter/engine? I’m grateful for any information, because until now I have absolutely no idea what the scooter/engine needs in care. D anke and best regards Wilson

  • Travel sumo?

We have known this for a long time: if an enduro has a small front wheel and road tyres, then it is a supermoto, i.e. a sumo. Conversely, the big enduros are usually not intended for heavy terrain, they feel much more comfortable on normal roads – and the riders too. They enjoy the pleasantly upright sitting position. The result: a handy moped, on the one hand, and a relaxed posture that allows long tours. ion, suspension and suspension and certainly also in design fits perfectly into the category travel enduro, but thanks to the small front wheel and road tires according to the above rule is a sumo? Travel enduro – Enduro + Sumo = travel sumo! It is actually quite easy. If you look around, then these mopeds are analogous to the suffs, sorry, the SUVs are in vogue. This is a category that will continue to spread. Examples: BMW S 1000 XR Honda Crosstourer Honda Crossrunner Honda NC 750 X Kawas Aki Versys Suzuki V-Strom Triumph Tiger All travel duos with road tires and small front wheels. A contemporary concept, but at the same time a label vertigo. With Enduro these mopeds don’t have much in common anymore. But with Sumos and of course with the travel tourers. Travelsumo would therefore be a very suitable designation, as I think. The term would have an advantage in everyday life: If you want to describe the category, you don’t have to explain in a cumbersome way that travel duos with road tires and nd small front wheels are, a short word would suffice: Reisesumo. Greetings Michael

  • Powerbooster as charger

Every year I have to expand and charge the battery in the spring, because I have no electricity in the garage. I once got a powerful Powerbooster 1800 Ah as a starting aid for the car. Question: Can I just clamp it to the mopper battery for a few hours? Would the booster charge the battery then? That would be ideal, because I could then also make a stopover in the winter. Has anyone ever done this before? Ride On Jörg

  • Chain lubrication: odourless solution sought.

Hello together, Who can recommend me a solution that fits well for year-round driving and does not stink? I recently had the first chain set changed after approx. 23Tkm. Almost exclusively lubricated with the Dr. Wack S100 white chain spray. But it smells huge, I almost have to vomit when I stand at the traffic light. So I tried once with Autosol chain spray. After only a longer rain ride the chain was in the ass, started slipping through. Since I noticed the there are huge differences. Last spontaneously bought PDL Profi Dry Lube – but should not lubricate so well http://www.motorradonline.de/…/329338?page=11 I mean, I even notice it directly, rides less fluidly in the sliding operation. In how far the corrosion protection for year-round operation of the motorcycle is important, I don’t know either. How much salty water will get on the chain already? When ice is on the roads I don’t drive anymore. With the S100 I simply had after the speedometer each 500km after smeared. So I can just continue to pain. Money is not a topic, but please do not offer duck fat.

  • Corvette C5 or C6 ?

Hello together. Actually I wanted to buy a US classic car, but after test drive and ample consideration I came to the decision, that a young car is probably the better decision, because I just missed the acceleration with the V8 oldies. Now I got a little into the Corvette C5 and already know the vehicle a little, because a friend drives a C5 and this has really impressive driving performance. Now to my questions : I have f The C5 is almost always more expensive than the C6. What is the reason for this ? I personally like the C5 also much better optically, because the folding headlights simply look sporty. Are there other reasons why the C5 is mostly more expensive ? And which engine would you recommend ? LS1 or the LS6 ? Is there anything you should consider when buying a C5 ? All models, which I currently have in mind, have a mileage of 40,000-80.000 KM and have been They look as if they were just running off the line. Nevertheless, there are certainly things to watch out for? Look forward to your feedback. Greetings from Switzerland Andreas

  • Athletes or SuMo?

Hello guys, I am 17 years old and have the a1 driver’s license zZ. A 125 daelim because I could get it in a very good condition and cheap. To my actual question or topic I will soon make the a2 driver’s license and think for a long time what I would like to get later actually I wanted to drive all the time an athlete say yamaha r6, suzuki gsxr or similar but I come very much from the country.. And if I think about this really fun you can with such a not really have here wa?? Except always highway.. What I imagine in the long term very boring.. I came on a supermoto. The top speed is not so important to me because one here anyway not much fast driving “should be”. Therefore very acceleration should be top there already heard a lot of the suzuki drz 400 that should be the good also just for the throttled area 48ps I can only.. Or just a cross.. So stop road to I don’t mean to break countries by strangers, if someone thinks that jz!) Only you can drive tires well on the road with the tunnels? Since I also have to drive a lot on the road and so on.. Why would you like to be in my position? And yes, I know that is my decision and and.. But you can get advice, Me inungen anhören Hoffe auf ernst gemeinten und helpfule Reply. Lg

  • Mixed tyres for motorcycle without tyre binding

Hi guys, I have a moppet here, with which there is no tyre binding in the vehicle certificate, only the prescribed tyre size. Do I think that I can theoretically raise any tyre with the appropriate size to us other suitable characteristics (speed index, weight etc.)? What does this look like if I want to raise different manufacturers in front and rear? Is this possible or is there a requirement that forbids me? The question is now whether this is based on a special release, or whether this is generally allowed due to a lack of tyre binding? To answer the question, valid sources would be good. The motorcycle is a Honda NC 750X, the question is certainly interesting for every motorcycle without tyre binding. Still to the background of the why and why this is not, because I can mix a Dunlop Trailmax 609 with your Pirelli Scorpion Tail on the Moppet. Why: After about 3000 km the first tire Dunlop Trailmax 609 is down in the back. I consider this to be a really weak performance on a motorcycle with the profile of the NC 750X. Honda is difficult with a bulwark, so I have to grab my own bag. But I want to change the rear tire for the time being, but don’t see another Dunlop coming up for me. The above-mentioned Pirelli is also not the yellow one of the egg. In the long term I plan to upgrade to the Angel GT or similar. ln, but if possible don’t stop at the front and back at once.

  • long-term suitable, reliable, affordable

Hello! It would be great if you could help me with your knowledge a little bit. Short history I had put my Golf 4 1.9TDI 330.000km highline on the internet for 3300€ for sale a few weeks ago. Now someone from France has registered to buy the car for 280€ (ggfl 3000€). First of all, the question now arises: sell or drive to death? (except for the bike camp there is nothing that is occasionally damaged. It is usually moderate and not highly touring) Bi Sher was my tendency to sell the car at such an offer in order to avoid the possible turbo damage or engine damage. Second, I think now which car I would buy then…. it should… … best cost up to 4000€, at most 500€ would be possible. … be as reliable as possible (not worse than the golf) … the reperatures should be favorable (where I usually go to a well-known screwdriver anyway) … avoid the loss of value as far as possible and la be a diesel or lpg (I’m driving around the 30tkm/year I don’t care about brands now, but I like it when it feels good inside, like for example Golf 4. (I don’t feel good about golf 5 or 6 as well) But it’s the most unimportant criterion now. It would be best if your models suggested, then I might be able to pick out a few specific offers. I’m completely open! Thank you very much already
