Lifetime brake linings
Hello together, someone can tell me how much lining (in mm) is on new brake pads (Road King). I just have the rear wheel outside and want to estimate how long my linings will last about. Maybe someone also knows how long new linings should hold about. Thanks and greeting D.Mon

Align rear wheel 200/55 Slim S
The fact is that the theory is completely abstrus and therefore I do not start the practice. 1. Contradiction: Theoretically the rear wheel stands from above at 06:05 clock (hour hand), thus too far left, good to see at the fender. Practically, however, the timing belt still has space/distance to the inner pulley edge. 2. Contradiction The axle alignment, belt tension screw looks out to the right some threaded passages more forward than left. Thus, the wheel should stand more at 05:55 clock. 3. Contradiction h The tire is almost on the belt, what would mean that I could not straighten it further to the right in the rear anyway and thus slightly to the left in the front. One fact is contradicted by the logic, each one against the other. Can it therefore be that the Kpl. wheel on the axle is too far left, but otherwise totally straight in the track?

Questions about my Harley davidson FXST
Hello, I bought a Harley this year because of an “accident” of my vl 800 suzuki. And now I have to search in here and ask a lot of “dirty” questions, but now you think that some can help me here for sure. Short data Harley davidson FXST First registration 5.1989 The first question is: If I had the goat standing a little longer and then it starts and then let it run and give it some gas in idle, have I always have a relatively large oil stain on the ground on the right, is this normal with this model( a kind of “ventilation” so it has been explained to me, or is it bullshit) photos are in the appendix. Or should I go further on the ground? The black hose goes directly to the motor Second question: I now have a floating disc brakes on the back, which is now so far down that it only clatters while driving, now the question you would install another floating od it is a rigid, in addition to that in the disc also the sensor / magnet for the speed / tacho has been inserted, has the “hole” itself been drilled (which I doubt about the hardness of a brake disc, but you never know ) or are there extra disc brakes that have already made this already? I would also have found a brake disc where I think it could fit, I don’t know if I can link the page here ? I just do it now This brake disc Vielle The third question is My hand brake cylinder is leaking and loses brake fluid which has now nicely “burned” on the white tank I hope I get it polished out. But now the question through all the conversions with steel flex lines and the two disc brakes front etc I am unsure what to buy there for a hand brake cylinder whether there are also any special features there. Yes, I can also in look at the vehicle license, but I have to confess there I won’t be quite smart out of it. I thank you already once in advance for the answers and hope that one or the other has something to pity on the questions:P Greetings

Trouble with Jekill & Hyde Klappennauspuff. Who else??
Annoyance with Jekill & Hyde Klappennauspuff. Who else?? Have mounted a Jekill & Hyde Klappennauspuff system on my Fatboy Bj 1995 about 3 years ago, mileage about 15 T km. After the last exit the flaps could not be switched any more, when I wanted to look, the turning roller fell already on the yard. Installation dismantled, after useless phone call with Jekill & Hyde, the system to send in to the friendly. Answer by Jekill & Hyde: The one pot would be reparated on guarantee. The 2nd pot is not a guarantee and costs 450,-€. For me it is incomprehensible that the same mistake is a pot on guarantee and the 2nd is to be paid. In my view, the construction of the pulley is questionable. The connection „fold to pulley is held only by a 4mm pulley (permanent heat expansion) no side guide when flipping, as inclusion of the pulley has a lot of play. The 4mm pulley is welded with the pulley pulley. e secured from twisting (for eternity) but on the other hand the 4mm thread should hold everything, result: It rips out, and cannot be dismantled anymore. I can’t imagine that I am the only one in which this error has occurred, maybe one of you has had this problem before? See pictures of pulleys and pots. Looking forward to your answers. Greeting Jerry09

Evo engine start at cold temperatures
Hello forum, I have finally allowed my softail and I have already driven this one or another time. Only this morning I just did not get the love in gear. The Harley is in our garage, which is not heated, so it was really cold tonight. about 6 degrees it was. This morning I then turned up the gas tap, Choke out, Neutral and three times pumped on the gas tap. Starter pressed and the machine rolled. There was a occasionally blubbering, so the I didn’t get it. Since I didn’t want to break anything (my first start of a carburetor engine at low temperatures) I took the car. Now my questions, which still concern me and I want to understand. I tried to give the engine a gentle gas at the start, when I heard the bubbling of the engine. The machine did not manage to start. So I tried to start again. There were only starter noises, so again pumped on the gas. Again easy blubbering but no start. The whole then 2-3 times. What can I have screwed up at worst? Spark plugs are wet from petrol? If I am home tomorrow noon, try to start directly again or check something? As far as I have read the mixture is simply too lean at cold temperatures, therefore also Choke. I do the pump anyway to have some fuel for the combustion, is The last rides were starting and driving no problem only today where it was much cooler than usual. Therefore, I think the problem is there, right?

Hawk Performance Ceramic with EBC Turbo Groove discs a good idea?
A wonderful day I wish everyone with the Ami fever, I am currently looking for the best combination of braking performance, little brake dust and durability for the brakes of my Camaro Z28 from 2001. At the moment I have the Turbo Groove discs of EBC and the Hawk Performance Ceramics coverings in mind. However, since I have heard more or less contradictory statements about ceramic coverings with perforated and slit brake discs, I wanted to turn to the crowd, I’ve seen on Rockauto that PowerStop sells a brake kit that sells punched and slit brake discs and ceramic brake pads together. Apparently it’s no problem with them. I actually want an upgrade which gives me a little more braking performance. I don’t know if they have any experience with it. I’m currently driving punched and slitted front and smooth back. I don’t know if they’re quite old and no numbers or text are recognizable. bt as well as durable. Yes I know punched and slotted brake discs are more aggressive to the surface and carry them out faster, which also creates more brake dust. If I take smooth discs for the best braking performance or I will also be happy with the EBC discs and ceramic coverings. I would be very pleased about your experience if you have any and what your opinions are about it. Greetings Lion

Cooling water loss and no pressure
Hello, I have a Cadillac Escalade from 2017. But the cooling water systems are similar everywhere. I have to catch up first. I changed the hydro plunger left bench with me. ( Lifter tick ) Therefore I had to drain the cooling water. So everything was assembled again and filled up water. As far as so good. Now I have to push myself slowly. Engine on, heating at the rear and front on HI and lid to get the air bubbles out of the system. Engine will sink warm level and I tilt After that he then demanded nothing more ceiling on it and well. Then when cooling it sank again by 3-4cm. So I have refilled to “Filling level with cold water”. First test drive: Pointer goes after 7km quite fast on 1/2. Then falls after 1km again to 1/4 then to 0 then it goes again on 1/2 etc. Then I thought OK he opens up the individual cooling circuits and swings because of that (with Audi and co the software remains simply regulated in the middle) od he still made air in the system?! So again this venter play with lid off etc.. First question: I then when he was warm once gave a small V8 gas shock and then shot me a Fontaine cooling water out of the container. May this be right ? I then filled up everything again. On several trips I then found that under the car were always a small puddle after the parking. I tried it is cooling water. I could under the balancing tank Feuc I also noticed that I have 0 pressure on the system. Had I dared to take off the lid after driving and not hissed anything. I then had a pressure test done 1Bar 30min no loss. Ha? So it could be the lid. But it is only wet under the balance tank, nothing on the lid or insulation from the bonnet. Must say that under the container can also be old cooling water. How can the system keep the pressure with a test but after a ride there is no pressure on it? Are there printless systems? What can I check? Unfortunately, always have to wait 2 weeks to order something from the USA. Cheap shipping is also not. Thanks already and sorry for the long text.

Cadillac Eldorado can’t choose between gear 3-4
Hello all, I have a 95 Cadillac Eldorado. Recently he started to jump back and forth between gears 3 and 4 all the time, as if he didn’t know which gear he should turn into. If I switch manually to the third gear, the problem is gone. The problem is not always there right away, sometimes it only comes after 10-15 km, so if the car really comes to temperature. Can someone help me there? Greeting from Cologne

Twindance turns 50!
Dear Twindance, I can’t see you today, so I’m writing this poem: 50 you’ve become today, so I don’t want to worry about it. Even if your hair will soon turn off, not every boy’s water will be enough for you. At 50, life begins what you can see. But remember one thing: even a noble knight will no longer be fitter with the years. The bones break faster, the mood goes into the basement. But also the pain on the finger, who I always wish you a lot of grip, on each of your trips. Because too much cuddle mim asphalt reduces your durability. And if you drive backwards with the can, then pay attention to the tree, otherwise the trunk will shrink! But also the age has advantages: You run slower through the shopping mile. Also the wisdom always increases, everything is made with more rest’. I hope, I wasn’t too cheeky, I wish you luck and never bad luck, in the hope that you imm ____________________________________________________________________________________$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$______________$$$$$$$$_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________§_______________________________________________________________________§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§§ §§§§§__________§§§__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________§§§§§§§§§§§§§_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
