  • Small accident damage

Hello guys, my father has unfortunately scratched my V50 on the back of a wall this morning. I put a picture of it online on Monday, here first one where I marked the spot. The bumper is broken in this area. A small hole is inside, otherwise on approx. the marked area deep violent scratches. # Now my question(s): What to do?! I think that I don’t get around a new bumper, or?! What does it cost? Will I get it also with any car users? Please leave only serious comments and no instructions. Also as PN. Christmas greetings, Marvin

  • which rims for the V70?

Hello Now that my V 70 is a bit deeper with H&R springs, I would like to order the summer rims in a short time. Now I have some favorites, and I can’t decide which one to order. Because of the vehicle size, I would like to order 19″ rims. Which alternatively would be 18″, the Cratus would be of the new R design, where I could then also put on the winter tires. I added some pictures, which rims I like, but I can’t decide yet.

  • XC60 Belt Warner

Does anyone know if you can stop the belt beep at the XC60 – or do you have to endure this coercion from Volvo? PS: With the V70 there is a taxi software and for the V50 a special software which at least stops the deafening beep over the speakers at >40km/h.

  • New d3 diesel and new 1.6d drive

At the same time, a newly developed D3 turbodiesel with 2.0 litres of engine capacity is available, which delivers 163 hp (120 kW) and has a maximum torque of 400 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and achieves a top speed of 220 km/h (automatic: 215 km/h). The new D3 five-cylinder engine is largely identical to the current 2.4D engine, but the cylinder capacity has a shorter stroke to reduce fuel consumption. The total consumption in conjunction with a manual gearbox is therefore only 5.2 litres to 100 kilometres (preliminary value). ” DRIV diesel engines with CO2 emissions below 115 g/km In addition, there will be a DRIV variant with a 1.6-litre diesel engine within the first year of production. The total consumption is only 4.3 litres to 100 kilometres (preliminary value) for CO2 emissions less than 115 g/km. The engine will be available with a maximum torque of 115 g/km.

  • Notification Cooling water level low V70/XC70 D5

Hello, I had the last thing in the mountains quite abruptly already before the engine start the message “cool water level too low, motor immediately put off” in the display. First of all a shock and then the question, what to fill up? Since an acquaintance of mine with almost identical. Car had exactly this problem now, I want to calm the affected here a bit. The sensor seems to be oversensitive and complains right at 1cm under min., In cold it seems to be quickly reached and oblique standing probably also helps. Please do not drive to the gas station and fetch coolant, it is enough according to the information of my one slump of tap water, with me < 0,2 l. Does not need to be distilled water. Nevertheless, I will soon have to investigate the cause, because somewhere the stuff must have remained, although I almost believe that there is so crunchy filled up on the factory side, which is triggered even with the slightest loss, the error message. So please do not scare at all, is probably usually only a small matter (and with me it was not less afterwards).

  • XC90 sun blinds for the rear side windows (integrated)

Hello, I’m working on an XC90 Momentum. Looking for sun protection for the offspring, I’ve stumbled over the option point “Sunrollos for the rear side windows (integrated)”. In the case of a “Sonnenrollo integrated”, I would have thought of a rollo integrated up and down in the side door, so I know that for example from VW Touran, Ford SMAX or Galaxy etc. In the configurator there is to the “Rollo” (what rolls there actually?) a small video, in which a “net insert” for the rear side window is depicted, which you have to click in, almost in very similar configuration as in my old XC70. Is there really no technical progress in 10 years? Interestingly, there is also the combination Rollo not with the fabric seats desired by the god mate, so you have to select leather, in order to get the apparently not rolling roller blinds?!!! Can someone tell me therefore, whether this really is integrated with the one in the year 2016 rather embarrassing version of the masterpiece.

  • current software update – changes (park sensors)

Hello Together, I picked up my XC90 T8 yesterday from the workshop. He was, among other things, because I have the feeling that the park sensors sometimes appeal strangely. I have a gate entrance with metal gate (2 wings). On the left and right is not really much space (will measure after time), and as well as NIE there are acoustic signals (but is activated) and also rarely any red bars in the display. When I stand on the property then he starts to warn at the 70cm high bush at the entrance, although it should be as far away as the gate when passing….. They have made a software update on the respective control unit and meant it. At home, unfortunately, the same behavior. Now unfortunately I do not know if it is possible normal, because of the gate, because sometimes they also seem normal to address can one at the sensitivity still set anything? Otherwise was on the bill still “totalupgrade XC9”. Probably other devices were updated, because the station changes (UKW) is now significantly faster!

  • Lanze break for the small VEA engine

I’d like to break a lance for the diesel that I’ve had after various test drives. We’ve been driving our D5 for 2 days and now 300km on the short break. The little motörchen gets along perfectly with the big car. Despite my limitation to speeds of up to 3000 tours, I’m enthusiastic. Power away from the start, virtually no starting weakness. Even overtaking on the country road goes without big speed orgies. In combination with the undoubtedly perfect 8 gear transmission, the engine turns only about 2500 tours at 160 km/h and is extremely quiet.

  • Alarm analgae useful for V90cc II?

Hello in the round, does it make sense to order the alarm system for a V90cc? In the forum threads there is hardly anything negative about the functionality of the alarm system, so it seems to work quite reliably. What do you mean? Greetings

  • Distance radar without automatics makes sense?

Hello, I am currently considering whether you should take advantage of the active distance control system in the XC60. The moose is not a sprinter anyway, so that this should surely be easier to travel. The engine choice would be the eDrive. But: The automatic would be too expensive for me. Does such a system make sense without automatics at all? If I set the system on the AB at e.g. 150km/h and drive in the 6th gear, then it will actively slow down. And then the 6th gear would probably be the wrong gear to speed up again. How are the experiences here? Does anyone have this combination (radar without automatics)? Gruss Volkmar
