  • Retrofit NAVI and automatic air conditioning?

Hi have a Ford Mondeo MK3 (think I’m built in 10/2002) with the well-known rust problems at the door etc.. But unfortunately there is only a manual climate in it with the well-known rotary controllers! Wanted to know how hard it is to blow out against an automatic climate control, what you have to change everything? Do you only have to replace controls? Then there is such a Ford Radio in 6000 something, that I wanted to blow out against an original Ford Navi. Refitting a GPS antenna, isn’t it? MFG MARV

  • Speed goes up in idle

A buddy has the problem with his lupo that the speed goes up when he lets the car roll out with the clutch pedal pressed. The speed rises to about 1800 rpm. Engine identification is ALL, 1.0L. Year of construction 1999. He got the problem after he cleaned the throttle flap (actually one expects it to run better after cleaning, but well…). Previously the problem was not. Workshop has tried with basic setting. Didn’t help. l looking at the throttle valve. It does not close completely. It remains a very small gap. With the hand you can press on the throttle valve and then close it completely. When closing you can feel a small resistance, which does not come through the flap itself, but from the poti? Can the poti have been damaged when cleaning the throttle valve? Can you change the idle position of the throttle valve (that it continues to go)? Where does “usually” the wrong air come from if you look at the throttle valve. Is there something you could test to find out what it can hang on? Thank you.

  • Extension of the sound system

Hello to the community, I have unfortunately little experience with forums, but try nevertheless my luck. Here my problem, my wife has gained a used Seat Arona Referenc year 2019. He has only installed the touchscreen (radio) with 4 speakers front, that was my Holden a little too little sound. She also had loudspeakers installed in the rear doors from an audio workshop, via the diagnostic plug the fader function was unlocked and can also be operated. Unfortunately, no sound comes from the rear speakers, the audio workshop tried again to configure the audio system with a laptop….kei success. Has someone a tip or experience with it, I am grateful for every answer.

  • Sub-routed driving

Hello, have my first car now for almost 3 months (VW up 60hp) so I still lack experience values. I depend on the statements of others. Mainly I drive in the city. On 5 or 6 days a week 11km back each, 11km. So now I naturally drive as fuel-saving as possible. I have read, however, that an undertouring driving can be harmful. But what does undertouring mean? So now I have tried everything possible with the new car to reduce the consumption. current driving mode (please do not drag over it, only well-intentioned advice): -Accelerate: Aisle for gear first gear up to 2000 revolutions, the rest after speed from 25 in the 3rd gear, from 37 in the 4th gear, from 45 in the 5th gear or if behind me hit a long time at the traffic light is then I switch the other too much also later -brakes: up to the rudder limit or roll out in the 5th gear (about 37km/h at idle speed) -Switch down: below 40 km/h in the 4th gear, below 30 km/h in the 3rd gear. Aisle, under 20 in the 2nd course In the flowing traffic I drive therefore around 1000 revolutions. My consumption is so at 4.2 l, but of course I have nothing of it in the long term if the engine has to suffer from it. And since I drive almost only in the city traffic, I will blow over the highway every month. Is 1x per month enough? Maybe you can give me tips or have long-term experiences with undertouring driving and possible damage LG Janina

  • Roof rack for VW UP

Hello, has anyone already had experience with a roof rack for the up (2-door)? There are the original ones, then which of the accessories in steel or aluminium beams, some fit with 2- and 4-doors and cost only half, the original ones only – or. An accessory manufacturer / supplier, which is also known for its AHK, offers for small money an aluminum one. Who has already gained experience? Also what a rubber or plastic coating to avoid paint damage (the carrier part, which pushes from above on roof, is rubberized, but the other one, which pushes against it from below??) Thank you and greeting charly arthur

  • Find part on shock absorber.. Polting while driving

Hello forum, I have a question for you !! and I am looking for this part at the shock absorber. I marked red at the picture. Is the plate on which the counter nut is screwed up. I already looked at Ebay but did not find. Because have the problem that when I hit the steering wheel and drive over cobblestones or deeper potholes, always have a poltern. Had the car recently on stage. When I touch on the wheel top and bottom and the wheel to me and direction S The game is above. I’ve already changed the cathedral camp on suspicion. Now it doesn’t pollen as much as before, but it’s still there. Poltern comes from VR. Fall and track I have set. Game is still there. Spring is fine. Shock absorber looks good as far as possible (no oil exit). Cross handlebar jack is cut off soon, on both sides with support joints. But before that, I want to know why the Vilt. but shock absorber defective ?? Presumably but somehow this funny plate is at the top of the cathedral. Do you have another good tip. Be happy about every answer. Thanks already in advance.

  • VW Up! 2013 squeaks when springing in/out; PU sockets and other dampers?

Hello, our beloved 2013 VW up unfortunately has a disadvantage. For a long time we have had hinds of squeaking and cracking the feathers / dampers. I have also read it could be due to the rubber bushings. Therefore I think about changing the bushings to stiffer PU bushings. Maybe then also to change the dampers. Someone here experience / tips? I don’t want to put the Fzg. much deeper.
