Moin, I have a problem with my air conditioning, because it only cools on the driver side. The problem seems to be known, so I already had the actuators calibrated several times and the error memory was read out, but without success, even a “play around” at the temperature or ventilation strength did not work. Well, long speech short sense, I have read this thread -> motor talk – problems with warm cold air current and now ask me, where is my seat heating relay? So, if it’s under the seat, I eat a broom, so much is safe.

I’ve got a couple of C30 questions…
Moin, because of a move I have to give up my previous V70I and buy myself a Euro4-capable car – of course again a Volvo I bought a C30 2.0D Momentum from 04/08 with 110tkm. I always found it really chic. (However, I’m not really happy about it yet, because I have to hand in my other loyal companion – two are simply too expensive :,( Can you tell me if and which common wear parts/standard bugs are in it? Now I wanted to push the new one into the workshop of my trust and ask for an overall assessment/prognosis, which is the next thing to do. What’s special about this model? The new one gets fresh TÜV and DEKRA certificate. But somehow it’s suspicious if the car house lets me do everything for me – if you know what I mean. As far as the DEKRA has shown me so far for the new one and we could also determine there are only two little DELLS (<0.5mm) and otherwise really no optical defects. What would you have paid me for this old car, but I would know about 250€.

Rust on the roof!
So far I had not taken the wetness in the car so seriously and pushed it onto a leaky rear flap seal. Now in the constant rain weather the car was so wet inside, that I looked at it more closely and actually the wetness on both sides comes from the roof. The sky is wet on both sides of the roof and hangs quite loose at the back, so someone will have been there before. So I once pushed out the roof strip on the left and then came the shock: plenty of rust. Of all at the roof! Never had a car with rust on the roof, let alone with a galvanized body. How could that be? Man, I laughed at it there … I just popped off paint and seal mass at two places now, but that looks quite like there was rust over the whole length in some places.

Lupo 3L manual circuit, circuit diagram motor control unit
Hello! In advance, I am a Lupo newcomer and generally not a car expert. However, I recently bought a Lupo 3L and only after that I learned how “rarely” these were converted to a manual circuit. And just one I could buy cheaply. I fell in love with the vehicle and we are now in the familiar phase. In the car I found a schematic which is probably for the motor control unit. Can you tell me exactly what this schematic does? And where the “button” could be in the vehicle?

Windscreen wiper “After-sweeper”
Hello and good evening! I tried with the search function to find out how to become master of the “wipe after” of the windscreen wiper, but so far in vain – maybe I lack the right search term. With a long trip to the country of the mountains it has constantly annoyed me today, and even earlier: If you want to free the windscreen from the dirt on it, you briefly press the windscreen wiper lever, it sprays, some times wipe and everything is great. Then a moment passes, and suddenly the windscreen wiper wipes over the dry disk, and you have dry streaks of the road salt mixture that is now on it in front of you. Can’t it be prevented somehow? The “wipe after” has always disturbed me. A small negligence in the design, but somehow disturbing, especially because the water tank gets empty much faster than necessary.

Thermal protection glass and infrared camera
I’m just thinking about installing a cockpit camera. So a camera that is installed behind the windscreen and also has a small screen. The highlight is that the camera emits infrared rays and also has a corresponding detector and can be used as a night vision device or as an additional vision device in the fog. But now I have thermal protection glazing. Is that how the IR rays are re-felkt back into the interior? Or is that only the case if they want to be inside from outside? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Back seat in Phaeton (space conditions)
After looking for a suitable Phaeton for me for several months, I found it. Equipment fits, motorization fits, mileage and age everything great. V6 TDI from 2009 with 100,000 km. So I grabbed the family for pro-owned. When we then took place on the back seat I was a bit scared. I had to find with my 182 cm already serious problems a pleasant sitting position, without coming with the head to the roof sky. On the middle place under the lighting unit it was even impossible. So I could not convince my family (woman and 2 small children) from the car. I wonder that I could not find this “problem” here in the forum yet. Does no one of you take persons of 182 cm and larger on the back seat with me, or did I catch an unfavorable equipment mix (premium seat, solar sliding roof,…)? I really don’t know any more, so I unfortunately never get the project Phaeton with my wife. Is the Phaeton really helpful to get the wrong comments for the car?

Which engine to buy in the C30? T5 or D3?
Hello moose driver, after looking through some threads I have become a little smarter, but I am interested in something that has hardly been mentioned so far – the driving behaviour. What is your opinion/experience? According to dealers, the 2-litre machine is a “circular saw”, so it is quite sporty to drive only at high speeds. Only the T5 or the D3 with personal engine adjustment. Both 5-cylinders, both almost equal torque, both with 6-speed/automaton. Are both turbos comparable? E.g. response/turboloch? Drive a V70 D5 at the moment (and still) but I think in relation to the C30 the driving behaviour looks a little different. Unfortunately up to now I only had a 1.6 petroler to test drive – so the engine does not work at all (at least for me). LG Stefan

Over 800 EUR for brake pads
Crime scene: VW Hahn Sindelfingen Crime: length changed front and rear BTW: The discs were still good (at TKM 50) otherwise it would be “probably EUR 2000 to 2500 EUR” (I don’t even know such prices from Porsche) I had expected some things but over EUR 800 even exceeded my expectations… PS: Has someone had experience with the leasing return. My 19 inch Omanyt still have a lot of profile but by the end of November I will still drive a lot. From when do the new tires calculate? BTW: The front ones are running at a ratio of 2:1. That’s why I let the rear ones go forward now. But then the tires will probably be at 2mm in front + back at the end of November. I have to brake down until the end of November When the end of November 4 new tyres and new discs are due, then the profitability calculation will be badly burdened… And my Omanyt have all a lot of thanks v.a. in the brightly turned area. Can I do something with Smart Repair? How does it look with smaller scratches?

Low pressure valve Lupo 6X AUC not connected
Hello Lupo municipality, to me is a Lupo 6X MKB AUC which I just set up a bit. I have a question about crankcase ventilation. Below the air filter box is a vacuum valve. The hose comes from the KGE. On the other side the connection is open. Where should this connection normally go? At the throttle valve unit sits a piece of hose that is closed with a blind plug. Is this possibly the right connection? AND: Why do you do something like this…? Thanks & Greeting Ciwa
