meal time, since I just drove 180km autobahn, I could unfortunately observe it very nicely: in irregular distances the car (98 c70, 2.5T) jerks while keeping the speed. sometimes a while not, then again partly clearly noticeable. there is a short jerk, I feel as if the performance is short-term lacks. but is only a subjective estimate. error codes are not in, was only read out recently, moreover the ignition in the workshop (for gas conversion) was controlled, everything is in order. I also exclude spark plugs, were made in the middle of 2007 new. I know to identify “rumbling” equals the search of the needle in the heap, can theoretically be anything, but event. someone has a starting point. mfg

Which rims/tires combination for my Lupo?
Hello together! I’m looking for a tire/felt combination for my Lupo (HSN/TSN: 0603/450). I’m not satisfied with the original rims, I find the Lupo understeered with it easily and has little grip. No changes were made on the car otherwise. I found a list of the possible tire sizes here, but I don’t really know the topic, I can’t do much with it. What size can you recommend? I’d rather if there were suitable tires from more well-known manufacturers than Nankang and I could get along without pulling, blazing or tachoan alignment. It can also be a steel rim, it’s just about the functionality.

Engine control light about every 60 km to “Delete’”
Hello dear Lupo – connoisseurs. I’ve had the problem for a few days that my motor control light suddenly lights up. Unusual changes, already long before, were unusually high speeds at warm- just like at cold start, which have normalized after about 30 seconds. ( ca. 2000 rpm. ) Sporadic. I could and can delete the lamp by disconnecting the battery, 5 minutes waiting time and again clamping. After about 60 km the whole thing repeated itself, and now it lights up again after about 60 km. My workshop appointment is only next Friday to read out the fault memory. But maybe you already have ideas, which according to the special behaviors of the lamp could be. Simple deletion – Let the lamp by disconnecting the battery, sporadic turning up the engine at start…… Greeting Jörch

V50 – C30 – S40II – C70 Repair Costs Thread
Hello together, I have found that here often the question arises which costs for this or that repair occur. What do you think of opening here a collection thread, in which one specifies his car model and the type of repair, and then the corresponding costs. Perhaps also with indication of whether it was a contract or free workshop, or whether one has supplied any parts with it. So a kind of “database” for repairs on the V50, C30, S40II, and C70 … What do you think about it ? e.g. the brake blocks were recently renewed at the front.Model V50 1.6 petrol year 2005 – Volvo contract workshop – both brake blocks front – Cost of time and material: 150 EUR gross Greeting E.

V50 – Differences in model years
Hello together, short question: I’m thinking about buying a used V50 with EZ 2009. Of course there are also offers of “younger” cars, so I wonder if there have been important changes to the V50 since 2009 that could influence the decision? I mean both equipment and design and engine. At the same time I would be grateful for short reviews. I read again and again that the V50 would consume a lot in practice, compared to similar cars. And that it is quite vulnerable. Since I am not at home in the world of cars, I would be grateful for information. Many greetings k.

V 50 D2 motor clutch and tightening problems
Hello together, drive for about three months a Volvo V50 D2 and have the feeling that the first gear is really only usable for starting up and not for accelerating out. Also I have had problems with the clutch from the beginning (running), and after longer city traffic it has come off the engine room so funny. Furthermore, the engine makes funny noises at speeding up in the second and third gear. The workshop told me that it is the normal starting noises, whereby I drive already 6 years Volvo V 50 “,0 D and have not noticed these noises so strongly in any Volvo yet

Phaeton 4.2 upgrade to LPG, search good operation room Wiesbaden
Hello, I am thinking of getting me a Phaeton 4.2 (Ez. 2003 or 2004 with approx. 60- 90 TKM), which I would like to have converted to LPG with wheel dump tank. What is to be taken into consideration here with the above model. Is the installation with the above Km-performance problematic? Please for reports. From the previous articles it can be seen that a Prins-system is probably the best, or? Is there enough installation space available with the model. I read that models with stationary heating have space problems, among other things with the evaporator. Is this true? In addition, the wheel dump tank should be as large as possible. What size should be realized? In any case, the tank nozzle should be installed behind the flap for the petrol tank nozzle. Are these problems? The installation should be possible in the surroundings (up to 100 km radius) of Wiesbaden.

Luggage compartment without function
Hello together, I have a Phaeton with electric unlocking. Now the trunk is no longer open. Neither with the score lock nor the actuator gives any reactions of itself. The visit to the VW dealer revealed that I should have a cable break. This realization cost me once 200,- € without the trunk has a function. I can not imagine that the even the score lock should be related to the cable break. The display also shows me an open trunk. Can someone give me perhaps a hint how to get the trunk open or. what do I have to do with it the trunk again works. The friendly VW dealer told me that I have to reckon with 1500,- €. I think that my dealer is not very competent and I do not want to drive unprepared to another. Maybe someone can recommend me a competent contact in the area of Hanover? I would be really grateful for your tips!

My big guy is definitely there!
On Friday he arrived safely at the dealer. Currently the Chirp module is still installed etc. Therefore also the bonnet and the right headlights are missing (see photo). My Kenzeichenhalter (chrom with company advertisement) is already installed and the Inscription mats and the summer tires on Atlantis are already in the trunk (acc. to seller). Thus the winter tires Dunlop M2 are already mounted. Unfortunately, the picture quality is not very good due to the photograph through the gate. However, you can see everything, because I took it today – on the day -. The workshop is unfortunately closed on Saturday. My (in sales) I could nevertheless “sady”. At the latest in the middle of the week I can pick it up. *joy* So with a few pictures. The next follow on the day of the delivery!

Phaeton – Engine recommendation and running costs
Yes Servus together, you love Phaeton friends! I have found this great forum now and will be hammering something right now…: Due to the very cheap used car prices, I think about buying a VW Phaetons. Of course, nobody needs to tell me that you can’t let yourself be blinded by the cheap prices. That the maintenance costs are more expensive than other, normal vehicles is clear. Now clear text: What do you have for running fixed costs? – What do you pay for your insurance? – What do you pay for taxes? – What do you pay for annual workshop costs (inspection)? -> And here’s this: Must it be the original VW workshop with a 6 year old Phaeton, or is it not at least as good, but much cheaper, with a free workshop too? And now to the engine: I would like to buy either the V6 TDI or the V10 TDI very much more. In price terms, on the used car market, it doesn’t make any difference. Now your experiences: Which engine is to prefer and why it’s more expensive? I’d like to keep up to buy the engine again?
