Hello, I’m new here in the forum and don’t know VW Motoren so well yet. I am particularly interested in the EA288 engine and the new “gas scandal”. As you read in the forum and elsewhere, all EA288 are allegedly affected by the exhaust system scandal and software updates. According to reports, the TDIs run much worse after the software update and there are problems with the DPF and the AGR valve. I have some questions about this. Is it true that the EA288 used to have NOx-cats and from MJ18 SCR-cats? The EA288 1.6 TDI with SCR-cat would have to have better exhaust emissions values than models without the SCR-cat. Is this still affected by the new “gas scandal”? From MJ18 the engine recognition of my knowledge is DDYA, i.e. all the models would have been delivered with SCR-cat. Can anyone confirm this? Does the EA288 DDYA require a software update, or does the new software already have the EYA update from work?

EXE MY07 is here!!!! (Photos)
My esteemed community! After months of anticipation and waiting, it was finally time yesterday. Our car was delivered and we are more than satisfied with our decision for the XC90, both in terms of color choice and model. First of all, it is my wife’s car and my other two beautiful young ladies (5 & 8, no wrong thoughts!), so that I LEIDER will not enjoy it so often – with my Cooper S I can take it almost down through the next week on holiday to South Tyrol and to unlock the SH to Bolzano – hope that this also works at the 07er? Here are a few mobile snapshots from yesterday afternoon. Well-launed greetings from Vienna!

V70 MJ 2007 no more cover for AHK!!!??
But for my new one, I have ordered a removable Ahk and since it belongs to the accessories, this is only the dealer on the spot. The ugly thing about this thing is that this (also deletant solution) plastic cap no longer exists and you have to drive now with the open Wirrwar down there. Such a mature car with such an amateurish result. Anyway, volvo got an input from me and here comes the answer: thank you for your friendly email from August 02, 2006 to the customer support of the Volvo Car Germany GmbH. The shock catcher outside of the Volvo V70 has been changed in your form to the model year 2005, which means that the shock catchers before model year 2005 were visually slightly different. To model year 2005 also has changed the for our models to be used, removable trailer hoist device. The up to then used trailer coupling incl. cover is not used very much to our knowledge and is no longer available to you. The combination of Volvo V70 before MJ 2005 with the new detachable trailer coupling MJ 2005 shows unfortunately the difficulty of having a corresponding cover for the removal head and not to be used.

V70 D5 too slow
Hello, I’ve had a V70 D5 (185 hp, manual transmission, 17″ standard tyres) for 4 weeks. During the test drive, the car had about 13,000 km (show car) and was difficult to move to 200 km/h. The dealer said that this was due to the soot particle filter because it was probably a lot of short distance traffic on the road, if I will soon drive a lot of highway this will soon occur. Meanwhile, I drove about 3000 km mainly on the highway and come on straight track just at 210 km/h (approx. 3700 rpm). Downhill it is about 220 km/h. Switching off the air conditioning and folding the mirror hardly brings anything. It is entered at 225 km/h and at the usual speedometer anticipation should be about 230 – 240 km/h. Otherwise, also the subjective impression compared to my old V70 TDI is not exactly as if the new one had 45 hp and more than 100 Nm more. But this is only subjective and my age is damned well gone. What can be done about it?

Nivo/SportNivo T5R
moin in the round, I have some questions about the built-in nivomates in my t5r. 1. are there differences between the T5R Nivos and series? 2. Are there qualitative alternatives to the series nivos? 3. since the series nivos are no longer produced by sachs, what about delivery bottlenecks? 4. 470EUR for sportnivos T5R, is this price OK? 5. if I exchange the nivos, what should be done immediately? 6. if the nivos hang down after 2 days..but after 100 meters again top stand… should they then be renewed? thank you for your feedback.

Termostat replaces 850
Hi again, my little one is just doing a little trouble again. 850er/2,5L/144PS/10V And it doesn’t get warm any more. As long as you drive, the needle doesn’t get a mm from the basement. After 15-20 minutes. The needle is located where it belongs. In the middle of the display. Then and only then it gets warm in the car. Now I thought, change the thermostat. Can’t be so expensive. My friend told me that he should lie around 90-100€. I passed out slightly. Is it really so expensive? Or is it such a thing here? look if this is the right thing, I’ll probably open a spare part booth soon. Can I take it? Or am I completely on the wooden path?

Safety of older moose 🙂
Moin dear community. I have seen a quiet day today and therefore a few videos. (especially about Volvos ) I came across this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buUTZdq78Ac If you compare this with other vehicles of the same age this Volvo has cut off very well. But my question is: how has age affected safety? Are our old elks still as safe as before? Or is the coach already hit because of age and no longer has the skills as once 20 years ago? The first 850s have already exceeded this age. How does that look with the safety systems themselves? Are they still usable or can it happen in an accident already that the airbag fails? (provided it is one on board ) I feel myself in our “Svenson” always very safe. But can it be that this impression rather deceives? Over contributions, volvo850xx

Works for Lupo 3L conversion
Hello together, someone here from the forum knows a workshop in NRW, which can make the conversion of a 3l Lupos? To be converted, the circuit, i.e. from hydraulic to manual. I am also unsure if the effort is worth it. I got a 3L Lupo with 327,000 Km, which needs the gearbox basic adjustment every 4-6 weeks. I can now not say why this is so and the workshops actually have no explanation for this, but before I enter the path of suffering with a new Gansteller, hydraulic tank etc., I could just have the conversion done and then would have some rest. How high would the costs for a conversion in a workshop be? What total running performance can be expected? Is there anyone who could reach more than 400,000 Km with a Lupo 3L? I would like to thank you now for every assessment/answer.

Questions about the S80…
Hello, So we’re also thinking about buying a S80, which is why I have a few questions: 1) Does the S80 petrol engine have the Euro3 or Euro4 standard? 2) How much liters are the 2.0T/180PS versions on average? 3) Could you mount the facelift rear lights + front with an S80 MJ.01? 4) What is the difference between the sound systems “HU-601 RDS” and “HU-801 RDS”? 5) Could you install the instrument cluster from the T6/Facelift into a normal S80? 6) How expensive are the inspections? On Mercedes level? and for the time being the last question: Are 16.90€ for an S80 2.0T, which ran 55,000 km, built in 05/2001, leather, Navi RTI and a Webasto stand heater is in order? Or could you still do a bit (financing) at the price? So, these are many questions, but I hope you can answer at least a part of it. MfG Juggy D
