  • Phaeton V6 TDI without equipment

Hello Phaeton friends, after many years still Phaeton enthusiast, but a V6 petrol engine is not in question after extensive test drive, I am now faced with the decision to take a V6 TDI. Important to me at a Phaeton are above all the safety, the driving comfort as well as the pull-through power of the engine. Less important to me are the more elaborate and more vulnerable comfort / luxury details like 18 path adjustment, el. tailgate, dynaudio, etc. So for me also a Phaeton with less equipment comes into question. Now to my question: What would you pay for the following, almost equipment-free Phaeton? Phaeton 3.0 V6 TDI EZL June 2006 Running power 48,000 KM 2. Hand (first VW / then well-known vehicles) Color: Uni Schwarz Equipment: – No leather (substance black) – No Navi – Xenon – Seat Heating – Park Distance Control – Otherwise the standard equipment Price would be worth 19,000 KM.

  • Upgrade level or harder springs?

Moin, I have a question: My new elk doesn’t have nivomates. We drive by car at least once a year for a tent holiday to Scandinavia and the box is fully loaded – family tent, chairs, table, clothes for 2 adults and two active sheets, bicycles on the roof or rear dran… that’s already going to work well. I now have some shit before such a load in connection with normal dampers and front wheel drive and Swedish gravel runways and 2,000 km in three weeks of holiday. So far I had a HA combi with level control (BMW). Is the V70 still good to drive with full load or is that not so great? Bring reinforced springs something or would it be appropriate in this case, but to upgrade to Nivomate? The Monroe Liftklamotte is not a solution for me; I have read too much bad about it. What the conversion costs is clear to me. Greetz, Tschok

  • Why a radio clock in the moose is not a luxury…

Sunday, around 14:00. Why do they make a noise on the radio from 13:00 o’clock? Oh yes, there was something, summer time is over. So the radio alarm clock is brought and all other clocks are changed in the morning. When it gets colder in the evening, the heating from the elk is quickly set to 06:00 departure time, on Monday morning getting up already hard, it should at least be pleasantly warm in the car. The next morning: in the bathroom I would have to hear the quite loud SH actually. Why does nothing happen, too warm? Suddenly the thought comes to be forgotten… Shit, clock in the elk. The SH has run already an hour too early, meanwhile the car is already cold again and the windows from the outside beat. Of course, a radio clock is not life-saving and certainly not buying, but even if an old Audi A3 has a radio clock in the basic equipment, could Volvo also slowly – or do I demand too much?

  • Question on the heating system

Hello Volvisti, drive a Volvo XC90 D5 since April 05 and have now programmed the heater for the first time in the last nights. What I notice is that the cooling water is not quite cold anymore and the windows are not fogged/ iced (so it should be), but of pleasant temperature in the car I can’t find anything (even after 60 minutes). Therefore my question to you: Is this normal? If yes, the power to de-iron the windows is sufficient even if it gets really cold (-20°C and lower) ? already in advance thank you for your answers … Gruss Walther

  • Enduro tyres

I’m looking for an enduro tyre for a Transalp, which is reasonably reasonable to drive on the road and at the same time does not shit offroad. In the short choice I pulled the TKC 80, which comes very roughly, and the Heidenau K 60 Scout, which looks not quite as wild and probably also on the road and in wet weather better than the TKC 80. Both tires have an M+S – characteristic price difference is to be neglected (4 Euro/set in favor of TKC 80) Who has experience with these tires ?

  • Consumption increases slowly but continuously

Good morning together. With my moose the consumption indicator continues to rise. I drive almost only urban traffic. Rather cozy. Acceleration orgies are also not part of my driving style. Nevertheless, the consumption of 10.8 liters , in April , has increased to today 12.4 liters . Every month something came with it… The engine itself runs like a clockwork. Jumps reliably and has immediately round and quiet running. Also when driving, no abnormalities. Well, it doesn’t bother me when it consumes so much, but it irritates me nevertheless. Should it be normal, then good. If not, where could you look after it? What should be cleaned up?? What do you consume with this engine? S80 with 204 hp At the time 153,000. Error memory has not yet been read out. Thank you for tips and hints.

  • Long-term experience HEICO, BSR, … (km stand, defects, …)

Hello together, I’m looking for long-term experiences to increase the performance of Heico and / or BSR. How high are your km running performance with chip? Did you have defects after the chipping (which were the kind)? Can you recommend the chipping without hesitation? Admittedly, so far I find quite few problems and no, I’m not looking for them. 🙂 Because of a defect we had to replace our old Volvo quickly and there we ended up with a S60 D3 (switch – was mandatory condition and just stood at the dealer… :-)). This is super beautiful, but we lack a few PS to our old 2.5T… Greetings! PS.: someone knows if the V40 D4 is identical to the S60 D3 (2012) so is only different by the control unit?

  • Once in a while, “freeze” on the track?

It’s basically not the same thing as the DPF’s free-burning, but rather the longer full-gas stages. A very, very distant acquaintance of me was with the top speed of his old 190E-Benz, which is actually only moved in the 5km short-range traffic. not quite satisfied anymore and wanted to do something. Now you have to know to the guy that he is quite asslig and always with bomber jacket, greasy hair and nem firmly grown measurekrug run around the right hand… BUT when it comes to cars, the guy is an absolute appearance. He disassembles an Audi R8 and builds it up again and for some reason everything that the guy reaches, afterwards runs better than before. So. Just the guy (spitzname “the lawyer” decided to correct for him now the insufficient maximum speed of 175km/h ltt Tacho. So he drove his tank empty again, filled up with some premium sprite, put the alarm at 02:00 o’clock on Monday in the morning, went to the A8 board and set the line with 190 meters and said the range again.

  • Buy current model or facelift

Hello, for a long time I have been reading with you in the forum and I find this somewhat higher “level” here more enjoyable than in the BMW Forum. About 5 years ago my purchase decision fell in favour of BMW, really let go of me still not after a test drive at that time. Now I think again which car I should buy. After the future of Saab is saved, I would tend to return to the 9-5 Aero. Here my questions: Can one assume that the oil problem (slurrying by excessive heating, etc.) with the now delivered models is constructively fixed? Or would it be better to wait for the facelift model, since here it would be assumed that the engine problem has been solved (independently from the other disadvantages such as lower serial equipment)? Still a personal comment to the discussion “Hubraum (6-Zylinder) contra turbocharging”, which I can not deny: I could not recognize at that time a big difference to the running culture of the two engines. For the average car driver, however, it would not be possible to give up the more of a six-cylinder practice.

  • Satisfaction and reliability

Hi, I have registered here in the forum today, as I am close to buying a PHAETON 3.0 V6 tdi EZ 10/07, 58000 km. From the VW dealer for 26900 EURO. Among other things with sliding roof, heater, Omanyt 275/40 R 19 rims (which make me a little bit afraid) plus winter bikes inspiration, servo closure tailgate, Xenon, Navi, etc.. The car is checked out as usual in Dresden and the 60000 km inspection is also carried out plus AU and TÜV new. And 1 year used car warranty. I think the price is in order, or ? However, I have read here in the forum some very negative reports about defects, high spare parts prices, dissatisfied owners etc, that I am not sure if I buy it now. But I know from experience, that in a forum the dissatisfied write something. Those who are satisfied, hardly anything to report there. Therefore, I am not sure if I buy it to me. But I know from experience, that in a forum I am rather happy to write something.
