  • HID Xenon installed in the V40???

    Servus Volvo municipality. Has one already Xenon in his V40????? Got a Xenon HID kit for lukewarm and wants to install it in my elk Bj 10/97.http://www.lichtex.de/…/…-CAN-Bus-HID-Xenon-KIT reset set.html I would have to make a few “changes” to cover the interior of the headlamp. But that would be the most important thing. According to Stvzo, I can only install these lamps with a light source cleaning system. — Purpose But according to the manufacturer, these Xenon lamps are not approved ………and now ????? Again, I have found out that only cars after Bj 2001 need a light source cleaning system for the subsequent installation of these lamps. ….and for cars before this Bj is enough, as is the case with me, a light range regulation. Somehow funny, that with the Stvzo.   • Target values Oil pressure 1.4 MPI?

    Unfortunately, I have a problem with my engine. As soon as the oil is a little older (about 8000km), the engine starts knocking at high load. I’ve already had the phenome?n since 3 oil changes. Even if the engine is quite cold, it is very strong. It takes a few seconds to stop the flapping.   • Light whimpering when braking from higher speeds. V70 2.4 T, help !

    Hello, it’s been a while since I’m slowing down from higher speeds. (from speed 80). The steering wheel is relatively quiet. You can only hear a wumwumwumwum during braking. Are the brakes in the bucket?? Or can that be something else? The tyres are still very good and only 2 years on it and 15,000. Thanks already!

  • Ventilation in the 850s in the middle only cold…

    Hello, after the search function could not answer my question I simply ask the question here. In my 850er BJ94 MJ95 comes from the middle vents only cold air. If I close both, it mixes with the warm air on the outsides (the air flow outside becomes cooler). Does someone know the problem and can give me a hint, what I should look at first. In addition, a squeaking out of the right vent comes. To the grid only the ventilation tube goes. Where exactly the blower is located to oil something there? Achso the car has the climate automatic, if that serves the analysis. So far… Thank you Janko

  • What can this DICE really do?

    Dear Elk friends Since I have to take care of my moose myself primarily for financial reasons, I would like to have a suitable tool with which I can perform a first error analysis. I found information on this topic by using the search function too, but I lack a final answer to the following question: Can DICE read out before 1999 vehicles or not? Does anyone of you have a DICE lying around and can report first hand? These DICE devices incl. the VIDA-SW are available according to Internet incl. inch so from 110 Euro – I would even spend that. Since my car is a 98 model, it would be a pity if the investment were for free. For the DICE predecessors, i.e. the VCT2000 devices one has to interpret a lot more money… The alternative would be FCR as hopefully organisable full version.

  • A merciless crack at the front!

    Hello together! With my V40 1.8, 90 kw 122 hp, automatic transmission, BJ 2003 MJ 2004 and B4184S2 I have problems! Now I have installed new ignition coils and spark plugs from VOLVO and the eternal wrong attempts of starting the engine is finally fixed. Engine runs great. But already this junk pile is in the bucket again. If I start with the automatic transmission it cracks at the front of the 1st gear into the 2nd gear or I have to drive back warm up, then it cracks too. It cracks even if I have to hold before the traffic light at 15/20 km/h and brake. 2 weeks ago on the right drive shaft the joint head was renewed to the right wheel photo! Just for information for you! I hope you can help me, what this could be or had already something like that. Thank you in advance and a nice 4th Advent I wish you!   • Experience / problems with the DPF at the 3.0 TDI?

    Hello, I know from the VW Golf the problems with the diesel particulate filter, especially with many short distances – these clog up and then have to be burned free by a workshop or the car should be moved from time to time on the highway (if you are lucky enough the latter).     Hello, I have just bought a Phaeton W12, Bj, 05.2003, 123Tkm, black NP over 130000 € at Ebay. I work in the VW-Audi car dealership, but a Phaeton comes to the workshop max 2-3 a year.
