  • Five hits in eight months!

On Wednesday my beloved Swedes tank was “hit” for the 5th time within 8 months by a different road user! Slowly I really get the pleasure of driving! Especially when I think that I bought it only last September as a new car and slowly only the interior equipment and the roof are original equipment! I already ran around the car to see if somewhere a sign with “I’m back again… Who doesn’t have it yet or wants to do it again?” it says! Had thought of selling the car and taking something else out of frustration, but for that THE VOLVO IS AVAILABLE TO GOOD AND THE SERVICE TO DISCOVER! I then left out my frustration in the bar of a friend at his Wodtka and cocktail supplies! CANN’T BE HAPPY!!!! 7 years driving license and of it 6.5 years without a single accident and the last half year was one OF THE OTHER!!!!

  • BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) XC90

… is not yet available for the XC90, as is well known. Question: Volvo has been moving the advertising for a year. So. I would have liked to have ordered this directly (according to the advertising brochure it was assumed that there is). The (Super)Friendly says that it does not exist yet. So. I ordered the XC90 nevertheless. So. On my question, if Volvo then installs this for the regular new car order price if it is there, no one wanted to give me information. I assume that this will be much more expensive if I officially retrofit it. (painting, throwing away old mirrors, etc.) I don’t find it fair to advertise with the high level of safety if there is only enough money to retrofit it afterwards. How do you see this or are concrete statements from other elk sellers? Merci

  • XC90 there. Ernst’s days counted.

Hi, today I wanted to listen a little bit more carefully, when my XC arrives:He is there! With the friendly ones the fixtures are being made. The stepping boards are being replaced (I wanted stainless steel), the polished Nereus after delivery (hopefully there is the still…). Westfalia AHK is underneath, the Parrot CK3500 is inside, the PDC at the front also (so far unpainted – I think about it yet….), the TP5 for the purchased (!) heater is being installed – it’s just questionable whether the display can be activated – we will see. Tomorrow or Monday the letter comes – so I am again “Jürgen” and no longer “Ernst”. Greeting Jürgen, of course, because there is a question anyway!

  • Function Pre-heating – Circulation pump ?

Hello I have a 463336er with auxiliary heating. In the coolant circuit it has a circulating pump that often breaks down. G disease! After replacing this, I would like to know when it will start operation with continuous auxiliary heating? Also I did not find on my backup plan any fuse that I could assign to the pump? But what I found is the position heater = No. D ? Heater ? Who can help me here to find out if the new pump works? By the way, I did not find an error message on my star diagnosis (short test) regarding the pump? Gruss Michigan

  • Phaeton V8 with LPG, first impression

So, I was able to pick up my thickness from the LPG conversion. The system: Vialle, 83 liters wheel pit tank (compressor chassis was categorized in the trunk), tank pits under tank lid tank indicator in the footroom, only to be seen by the driver. Driving: don’t notice any difference…. The consumption: too early to say… The conversion company: www.gag-autogas.de in Lünen near Dortmund, have a lot of experience with Phaetons, are friendly and competent, everything done as agreed, clean work. Now I just hope that it remains that way, you really don’t notice anything, you could even think it runs on gas a little better, quieter, but could also be imaginable. I will report again after 2,000 km. Greeting Flodder

  • Where are there good prices / discounts for new cars in Switzerland?

Hello everyone! So, for a long time I have only read and collected information here in the forum, but now it is time to put something in. I would like to treat myself to a new Volvo V50 T5 and finally send my (catastrophic) Audi into the desert. Now I am looking for a garage that gives a good price / discount on new cars, import would be ok as long as all services (e.g. SwissPremium) as in Switzerland are provided. Where did you buy your little one and what did you get for discounts (only private person, no fleet discount, etc.)? Does any of you know the Globalcartrading in Wollerau, what have you done for experiences with them? Greeting to all of a future elk driver 😉

  • C70 Heico, single-sided tyres

Hello and greetings from the BMW Forum I hope one can help here, it’s about a C70 D5 that was tuned by HEICO. Besides engine tuning and exhaust system the chassis was also changed, as well as Heico 19″ rims with 235 tires installed. On the rear axle there are also track widenings. It is about that all four tires drive off more strongly on the inside and after approx. 18,000km a new set is necessary. It was very often repaired/checked by Volvo and after initial replacement of track rods on the rear axle all measured values were found to be ok (up to the exchange had already two tire places at the HA occurred). Also a free workshop has now checked the track/sturz and confirmed that all values are in the specified areas. So far only the Pirelli P Zero tires with which the Heico rims are sold have been used. maybe there is also Heico – drivers who have experience here. PS: today (again) new tires were installed, but this time Hankook V12 evo

  • A comment from you “girls” 😉

I didn’t drive a V70 yet, but I can’t imagine it.What do you think of it? —————- Zit:” Astra 1.7 CDTI – Best Value For Money Hiho Astra Fan Community, I have to express my enthusiasm about my Astra once again. I drove 600km with my family and full-blown trunk today. 1. Fantastic, which fits everything in the trunk. 2. Despite the full load loose and flaky 200 on the highway. Most of the time with Tempomat at 190. No problem, even on slight climbs 3. No seat-meat wears. Had a V70 last designed (known for short distances :-), since already after 300km the rear was hurting” —————-

  • Is Volvo PRO worth it?

During the incredible waiting time for my new XC90 (end of Oct/beginning of Nov) I like to read here again and again in the forum. But even despite searching in the archive I did not find a real answer to my question whether the Volvo PRO option is worth it for me as a private person or not? In certain Freds it was pointed out here and there, real arguments for it or against it I did not find. Since I (yet) have no experience with the inspection costs for the XC90, you certainly also vary individually/regionally, sometimes the question in the round whether there is someone who can already draw a first conclusion? I am looking forward to every tip or hint, it does not really burn…. Greeting Marco
