Hello dear Volvo community! I intend to install a TUNINGBOX for my new V70 D5 185PS MJ 07. Now to my questions: -from when (kilometer power) it is advisable to install it (though hardly, as long as the engine has not yet been driven)? -which is recommended, the one from MR (1199,-€ incl. sports air filter), or the one from TUNINGBOX (550,-€) The one or other has certainly experience with the above mentioned manufacturers. Zyl.1 Lupo 1.4
Servus, our Lupo is ill, since about 1/2 year the control light “Zündausssetzung Zyl.1”, engine runs in the stand restless, about 500UMIN. (the friendly V.A.G. dealer says no problem, continue driving). But now it annoys me, so that I first changed the candles, problem still there. At the V.A.G. dealer then still the Zünkabel and the ignition unit changed, no improvement… then he said new head on it, as already described in the forum several times (but only 1.0 engine). Lupo has 50,000km on it, Built.2002, VW does not refund any culantity according to the PC request. My question: could the problem also come from a defective injection valve, because head change is quite expensive, therefore I want to go safely. There are other ways( request at VW) if they show no culantness.

Engine stutters after oil change from time to time
Hello together, I had a change of oil two weeks ago with my V40. Now the engine stutters from time to time when giving gas, but also not always. So only a short little turnip and then it is good again. I noticed that he now loses some oil. I was then on Saturday again in the workshop that they look, could not find anything for lack of time on the fast but. At least with the oil drain screw everything is so tight. Would come from higher up. I wanted to have the spark plugs changed anyway, then look again more closely. Now my questions: Do you think the stutterers disappear when the spark plugs were changed? The in the workshop meant the oil is still too thin liquid and the drop wears off with the time when it has become thicker by the operation. If not there would be a quite good means that would unwrap the seals and seal them. What do you think about it? Would be grateful about a few good tips VERY!!!

Inaccurate timing of the RTI
Hello municipality, I’ve been reading here for a while, but I don’t know that the following has already been the subject of discussion. Who cares about the utopian indication of the driving time of the RTI, which is especially noticeable with longer distances. Am I constantly travelling too fast, or can RTI not count on it. How can it be that with a distance of 680km the thing shows 3 hours too much? Had only a 1r with Navi last week and the correction of the ANKUNFTSZEIT played on a distance of 120km with 20% land road share in the minute area. Meal, would like to know what else my loop would bring … VW Lupo 1.4 TDI (motor code AMF), 370xxxkm run, first registration in 07/2003, Great inspection with everything made at 368.xxxkm, Very well maintained condition with 1 previous owner. On extras he has power steering, El. window lifter, display window rear, El. exterior mirror, fog lights, cruise control, comfort opening by key for front window, central locking, alarm system, aluminum rims (Ancora STP Run with new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 ~400Km), winter tires are new on steel rim (Nexen Winguard SnowG WH2 185/55R14), MFD Navi with Yatour interface for USB/SD plug-in card connection with GPS antenna on the roof. Unfortunately he has no DPF and therefore only Euro 3 as classification, and also no air conditioning.

Phaeton characters as logo instead of VW emblem
Good day, I’m probably right there. Phaeton vehicles are on the way, which instead of the oversized VW emblem have the Phaeton lettering on cooler and rear as logo. Someone must have made it. After intensive ttelfonieren and anfrtageen in VW representatives, this is for all “station” or uups, never heard or seen. I have a friend in Dresden, who drives a Phaeton and would love to mount the Phaeton lettering immediately. It looks by the way dead chic. I have seen this already on vehicles in Switzerland. According to VW, it is possible to change it. Someone knows more about it or knows about it?

Activate V40 alarm system/central locking turn signal
Hello, I’ve also been an enthusiastic V40 driver for a few days. Even when the V40 came out I knew I had to have one. Anyway, I’m the owner of a V40 18, EZ 6/98, part of the luxury package, with cruise control, 4 FH, climate control etc….. Alarm system and powerdoorlocks are always inside. Now my question: If I activate the ZV/alarmanalage over the remote control, the turn signals don’t blink. In the manual it says different depending on the country of delivery. How is it in Germany? (My German version) Is there the possibility to reprogram or activate it without the need of a dealer?

Pluspol gets hot
Good morning dear people, on Saturday morning 1 week ago, when we wanted to go on vacation with him, I noticed at the check that the battery was badly deformed (expanded) and the plus pole was extremely hot in idle mode with switched on climate. Battery cursed, new built-in, but unfortunately the same phenomenon: In idle without switched on consumers the plus pole becomes hot, however, so that one can still touch it. With switched on climate and/or more consumers it becomes so hot that one can not touch it for more than 2 seconds without burning itself. Isolation still ok. We are glad not to have remained with a cable fire in the South of France and have started the adventure third in the Fiesta, which has fulfilled its service well. Now the V40 (1.8 122 hp from 2001, 212,000km camshaft adjustment defective, tooth belts and engine storage due, ventilation windshield blows into the dashboard) and I think about it for the first time… well.

Automatic transmission switches into wrong gears
Hello together, I have the following problem with my Volvo V40. DATA: Bj 1996 140 HP 2.0 l 16V I bought and picked up the car the other day with a friend, the car had a transmission damage according to the previous owner. I bought an automatic transmission via EBay and built it in perfectly, but the error is still present. The transmission always confuses the gears, (such as starting in the 3-speed) so I looked for a workshop in the hope that they could help me further. They closed the car to the PC but could not read the error, reason: Man does not come via the control unit into the transmission control, which is actually not normal. So they have brought me the car Resetet but of course not so much. My question is, why does the car switch into a mess and why can you not get through the control unit into the automatic tribe ???? I would be very happy if someone can lighten me. MFG

Hello. Had there been my v40 1.8 16v bj.96 for sale with 144,000 km. Does anyone know what you can take for it? At 133 tkm was made: timing belts belt vo.re. transverse handlebars hi. re. new brake caliper oil change new oil filters and spark plugs brake fluid change new exhaust from kat. At 142 tkm was made: front and rear new shock absorbers including spring plates and dome bearings vo. Li. transverse handlebars new axle sleeve new vo. and hi. all coupling bars new new track rod AND heads new set a set of nail-new all-year tires of NEXEN track and crash. Kat new.The vehicle stands on 195 55 r15 all-year tires on Borbet aluminium rims. P No rust. Engine and gearbox running TOP. In the next time there should be no problems – everything has already been made.
