Hello I’m desperate about my good old 850s and thought, maybe someone can give me a tip here. I don’t know myself well (maybe it only drives because I love it so much) and unfortunately I haven’t found a decent workshop yet or someone who could advise me. My dear car got a new TÜV in August and drove until yesterday totally smooth. Unfortunately, the cooler is now worn off. The somewhat unromantic type from the workshop to which the ADAC has dragged me meant only: “Cylind head seal, the old box can be on the garbage. ????. So as I said, I’m very attached to the car. I only plugged in in in August 2000 Euro and not a good workshop. What do you think it’s worth taking money again? Maybe someone can help me further and has a recommendation for screwdrivers in the Munich area. Many thanks!!!

Seat heating depending on the passenger seat occupancy?
I’m just wondering if the seat heating of the passenger seat (with a V70 MJ06) when it’s on is also working when no one is sitting in the passenger seat. Warm the seat is not actually going to be, but this can also be because the seat surface comes into contact with the heating only by sitting on it and is therefore heated. Despite a long search I have found here no meaningful information about this besides a side info in this thread:http://www.motor-talk.de/…/PostJump.html?… It would of course be very useful if the seat heating of the passenger seat only heats when the seat occupancy detection is on. Then I could also let it turn on now in winter. Otherwise I don’t want to let it run idle. Can anyone give me a definite statement about this here? Thank you, Tobi

Solution: torn off tank lid in Waschstrasse
The reprogramming of the shutter speed is not a solution, since the tank lid remains open from the inside when locking up. Also with me the tank lid was open every time after the washing road visit. Finally I found a simple remedy. To do this one has to know that the tank lid is opened by the dry blower of the wash road and tears off in an unfavourable case. The air jet blows into the “finger arching” of the lid and creates an overpressure in the small volume between the lid and screw cap. This overpressure finally presses the tank lid on. Remedy: Glue a adhesive strip from the inside over the arch! This adhesive strip is not visible from the outside (if one does not take exactly white adhesive tape), but prevents the air from entering the small volume between the lid and screw cap. The adhesive strip is about 4 cm wide and 8 cm long. Since this small modification, the lid remains reliable with me (since 6 washings)! Please Volvo Grus!

Cylinder head part number XC60
Hello together, my Volvo has the problem with cooling water loss, CO2 test was positive – after that the ZKD was changed, one saw during the expansion also a notch in the seal. Juhu thought that was it, new seal pure and finished. Unfortunately no, during the test drive the water boiled again over and CO2 test positive. Now my workshop (free) meant that it is then the ZK itself. I am on the search for a head where lt. Volvo has the part number 36050523, that is the successor of 36010025, but there is only a new part for 3700 Euro. So much I have planned for a head incl. installation 🙁 After research I also come to the part number 3077365 or 31401468. Is then sold at Ebay for 1999,— Euro incl. 12 months warranty until 40tkm.Ebay Has someone an idea whether these heads fit? KFZ Leezen has only a revision in the offer for this, not in exchange. Does that work at all? I want to make it already, to change to the gear of 10, the gear – not completely – to the gear of the gear – has not to look.

All 4 window lifters do not work anymore!
Hello together with me all 4 windows do not go down or up before about 3 std I didn’t have the test, I looked for if maybe the safety is broken but that was just humming out of the safety box when you press the switch now I have the presumption that the relay for the window lifter is broken can tell me if the is in the safety box or hidden in any door Peugeot 406 110 HDI BJ 2001 Thanks in advance Gruss Denis

ABS lamp returns after 10 years
About 10 years ago, the ABS error “wheel sensor at the rear right” came in. A dear Forist then soldered me the control unit. Since then, I had rest. Now the ABS lamp lights up from time to time. I read the following with Delphi: 312 ABS wheel sensor at the front right – circle faulty 322 ABS wheel sensor at the front right – extrapolation counter 443 pump motor – electrical or mechanical error Then I reset the errors and drove another 10 minutes. The re-reading brought the error 312 (see above). What do you mean, is the controller again the first suspect in this error pattern?

Again: Anomaly exhaust gas cleaning – charging pressure to high. 406 2.2 HDI
Hello, I have problems with nem 406 2.2 HDI FAP BJ 2002 times again an “Anomaly exhaust gas cleaning”. In the error memory is “loaderuck too high”. My guess is not further, was now already 4 times there. “Tested” were: – pressure memory for a turbo replaced. 200km quiet. – valve for the charging truck control is changed test-probably. 50km quiet. – charging truck sensor replaced. After last mentioned measure it ran 1000km error-free – then shortly before Felbertauern tunnel – guess times – exhaust gas anomaly and emergency running program. So plug off battery 10x ignition emergency run away again – still 10x ignition message away. the next 500km again no problems – otherwise: normal passage, normal Vmax, 1liter oil on 20,000km. Does anyone have any idea? I don’t thank you already.

V50 2.4i R Design purchasing advice
Hello. be close to getting this moose to me http://www.schrafft.de/index.php?a=used after having read the purchase advice here in the forum in detail, I came to the decision that it should be a gasoline in R design. After several rides to different gravelbed dealers and private sellers I decided to take one for a little more money directly from Volvo dealer. My driving profile is about 9tkm a year. Mostly a distance of 5km to and 5km back to work. Through the city. A diesel with PDF is not worth it. How do you find the car at the price with so few kilometers? What should I consider? Is the 2.4i perhaps not the right engine for my track profile? The dealer can do nothing at the price, but I get 1 year warranty as well as the warranty. TÜV and inspection New. Greeting Aleks

Volvo S40 II Headlights light up to the left
Hello and good day, I changed a few weeks ago from a Mercedes C-Class to a Volvo S40 II (Bj. 09/2005). I’m really very happy with the vehicle and the driving characteristics. Only one thing causes me problems. The main lights (no Xenon) both glow strongly to the left and I blind the incoming vehicles. A visit to the Volvo dealer showed that the spotlights were a little too low, but otherwise are fine. Nevertheless, they continue to glow to the left. Also the range seems too low (estimated 50-60m). In the search function of the forum I found many posts about spotlights, but nothing about my problem. Does anyone have a tip or a solution ? Greeting to all…..

Longer service life – anything to consider?
Hello together, because of a changed private situation my V50 has been for some time and still for an indefinite time more lantern parker than vehicle. In other words: the car is only rarely used, so again and again one to three weeks at the roadside. Then one to two days of “use” (exclusively long distance) are available before a longer parking period begins again. My question is now: Is there anything to consider because of the constant and longer standing times? Or is this relatively irrelevant to the car as long as enough long distance for the battery joins again and again? Greetings from Munich Thomas
