  • Alfa 156 Headlight cleaning system without function

    Hello, I noticed today that with my Alfa 156 2.5 V6 the headlight cleaning system of the xenon headlights does not work. First of all, with Alfa is nevertheless like with any other car also, if I have light on and water spray must be sprayed both on the front window as well as on the headlights or how does it work ? The wiper nozzles at the front of the front window and rear rear window work perfectly. It also does not run out when spraying water under the car, so one might think forward is something leaking.   • Busy from BMW 5 to Phaeton

    Hello together, my first post in the Phaeton Forum….. So, I’m playing with the thought of my current 5 BMW into a Phaton (with a low payment). It’s thought of a 3.0 tdi with just over or under 100,000 km. Yesterday I looked at the Phaeton at the VW dealership and I’m… I didn’t expect the car to be so beautiful. Great, noble, luxurious and PERFECT. The dealer would also buy my 5er… Now I don’t know; the new price of the Phaetond (is a 2005 model) was 75,000 EURO. Now the good piece only costs a little more than 20,000 EURO?!? How can the with the great car such a high value loss arise within 5 years of 55,000 EURO? Is the Phaeton after my possible purchase then sellable again, or no one intersted for it anymore. Again: I can’t understand how such a beautiful car (at least from inside) can have such an enormous value loss… What should I have for you next Friday?

    Hello, I had a warning or warning symbol on my dashboard display this weekend.   • New brake set parking brake / hand brake -> no function

    In the evening, as described in the other Troeöt, I completely re-made the brake discs, pads, etc. at the back. Is there anything you can do wrong with the brake cheeks for the hand brake, if you put them in exactly the same way as the old ones? So in the back the elongated U-blech in between. The two cheeks “clamp” with the springs you have to grope in with the pointed tongs. And in the front over the tensioner with the thick spring clamp. The hand brake has no effect :-(. And yes, I found the adjustment option at the front of the lever. However, I have bought several turns, but the lever does not go any further at some point. But the hand brake nevertheless has no effect :-(. I would guess I have put together something wrong, but I have no idea what. Or I cut it to the supplier’s ears? I had bought extra “Brembo”, which according to the statements here is a proper brand. My neighbor (Motocros driver) did not have to confirm it. However, the brake would not have been anything else.

  • Volvo S60 170hp detonator in 5th cylinder

    Moin, I drive a Volvo S60 built in 2000 with the 2.4l 5cylinder engine 170hp. After driving on the highway with a time of about 160km/h on Wednesday morning, I discovered an error message “please drive slowly, engine maintenance urgent” and the MTK was blinking at the yellow. After driving down from the highway, I just noticed that something was wrong, giving gas no real power and yes sounding like a trecker in idle. When I was at home I pulled the plug from every ignition coil, cylinder 1-4 I could detect a change in the engine run, at the 5th cylinder act nothin’ when I pulled the plug, so on screwed up and looked and fact the spark plug was heavily rusted and lacked a little bit of the candle. Well, new candle and certainly half new ignition coil was ordered and built in. Unfortunately without success, old ignition coil also tried No success, after relatively short time the candle was again full of gasoline and oil? So the candle would not have to be wet?

  • SRS Airbag maintenance; error code SRS-00D4

    Hello together, I have read a bit crosswise. I would have a special question: I get the error message in the on-board computer “SRS Airbag maintenance urgently” and the warning triangle remains yellow. I had the error memory read out: error code: 212 (error code order: 00D4), airbag control lamp, function faulty The AB control light (bottom right in the AI) lights up at the start and then goes out. That means the light bulb there can not be faulty. I have read once that there is a indicator light in the rear view mirror. Could it trigger the error? Or does the AI have to do the repair? The warning signal, if you have not buckled on, does not always work correctly. Otherwise, the AI works. Still to the information: I had the AI repaired due to pixel errors in the on-board computer display 2 months ago. Thanks already for notes.

    What do you think is a one-year European tour with a trailer and you’re looking forward to the big question which train is suitable for you? My favorite BMW was once an Alhambra because the car has sliding doors and the children like to open the door themselves. In the city, with small parking spaces, sliding doors are worth gold. Now I have read so much bad about the clutch at the Alhambra and am unsure. You don’t really find it used with all-wheel drive. Since we will be on the road for a whole year, the train will be very demanding. The roads in Poland, Italy or Turkey are partly adventurous. (We have time far away from the tourist destinations to look at the “real” country.) Our desired caravan will weigh with extra charge around the 1.8t. My questions to you: Who is driving an Alhambra and caravan without prejudice across the Alps? Does the clutch already have a lot to recommend for Mercedes and also down? Is rear drive so much better? An overlay was simply to buy an older Mercedes or BMW from me as a Laie? Have a good impression?

    Hello, my V60 (D3) was on 20.07. to the 120,000 Km – transparency. Last year there was a call back regarding the belt tensioner, which was changed now also with me. So far everything is ok and the car runs (as always) impeccable. However, what bothers me is a noise of noise, which comes from the area of the belt, left of the engine (passenger side). As to the maintenance only this service action was carried out, it can only be related to the new belt tensioner. In the meantime I drove about 1500 km and it does not get better. Is this problem known? To the result of the inspection – for those who are interested: There were no abnormalities, everything was ok. In about 20,000 km probably the next brake linings at the back become due and some bushings at the rear axle begin to work freely. Otherwise, the dampers of the rear flap can be slowly hanged down. Otherwise, I didn’t know any more “Mängel” at the moment. If there is interest, I can also upload the invoice. My previous opinion about the car: The car is not likes of the typical size of the Volvo, but I don’t want to keep talking about the quality in the interior.
