  • personal consumption record!

Hi guys! I finally made it today. 4.4l consumption on average! I have S60 2.4D with chip. I drove it very gently with this tank filling. And so it doesn’t mean “He can tell us a lot” I also took proof photos:http://www.vw-bluediamond.de/private/tank1.jpg Here’s another pic where the tank needle was located:http://www.vw-bluediamond.de/private/tank2.jpg Here’s the daily mileage level. You have to count 1,000km.http://www.vw-bluediamond.de/private/tank3.jpg And here’s the result that the on-board computer calculated for the range after the tanking…;-)http://www.vw-bluediamond.de/private/tank4.jpg What were your best consumption values?

  • Brake path on snow – influence factor vehicle weight

Hello everyone, recently we had the discussion whether the vehicle weight plays a role in dry road. It was said that this is not the case if you are travelling with maximum possible braking force and sufficiently dimensioned brakes. But how is that on snow? On snow I do not get a maximum braking force. For me as a layman the picture shows that a much higher mass and thus also fly mass must be braked at high vehicle weight. Thus, a heavy vehicle on snow would have a significantly longer braking distance. Can anyone confirm this by the experts or refute it or examine it more physically? Gruss capdoc

  • 6th FPOC Phaeton Meeting on 25-27 April in Molsheim

Dear Phaeton drivers, Volkswagen AG as well as the organisers mebedo, dickschiffuser and desireless welcome you to the 6th FPOC Phaeton meeting on 25-27 April in Molsheim in Alsace. The Phaeton meetings are made up of Phaeton drivers of all ages, family and professional stands. Almost half of the new participants come to the meetings. Whether you come with family or alone, with V6, V8, V10 or W12, we look forward to seeing you. At this meeting we will visit a manufactory again. Just like in the glass manufactory in Dresden, cars are still made here by hand, which set new standards in their class. In the footsteps of Ettore Bugatti we will not only visit his legacy but also the surrounding country, which then conveys a special appeal in the spring. We will stay in a stylish wellness hotel. The meeting will be part of VW and the places are limited. Who has an interest, please contact us at www.phaeton.

  • V90 T5 or D4

Hello, I think about buying a V90 as a used car. My consideration goes on whether I should buy a D4 (diesel) or a petrol engine (T5). One leaves a lot about the driving performance of a D4 in the forum but rather less about a T5. What I could find out is that one is not “undermotorized” with a T5 and that the fuel consumption is “limited” up to 160 km/h. I would be pleased about further reports. Another point, is the choice of petrol or diesel. First of all, to my driving profile. The annual driving performance is between 11,000 and 13,000 km. About 50-60% of it are driven in the city with a driving distance between 3-15 km. The rest is distributed on weekend trips and two to three larger holiday trips 400 -1200 km. At first I was convinced of a diesel, but my driving profile with a relatively high city share (short distance) moved me to the topic of gasoline. What do you think about it? Petrolter or diesel. Or just take the engine “better”?

  • Problems with TuneIn

For the time being, I have had problems with a whole series of stations. I’m only angry with SWR3 with the message “Invalid Medium”. But I’m also affected by WDR2. NDR2 is running at the moment, but was also partially affected. I don’t have a VOC but an external Huwai modem as a WLAN hotspot. If I use this as a hotspot for my mobile phone I can stream SWR3 over the mobile phone app there. So it’s definitely a problem with the Volvo APP. I already removed the app on the Volvo and installed it the next day. So an installation error is also unlikely. Since I haven’t found anything on the net for this problem yet, I would be interested if other people got this error message or if it is an isolated problem with me. Greeting TQB

  • Moose badly injured!!!

I’m thrilled that our V50 elk is seriously injured in the recovery facility and was spent there by a tow truck equipped with yellow lights. This morning 8 o’clock: the OHL and my littleness head towards the office, park on the main road in a park bay with the direction of the road beaten wheels to lift the necessary capital at the Bankinstitut to buy his food.- Just get in from behind comes a truck, which drove so far to the right, that he took the mirror to the front left to strip the fender, to hit the rim with full force so that the whole Fzg. was moved to the right and finally to tear down the whole front fret (Stocksstand ect..). Afterwards the elk bled and gave off his sweat, which he normally needs to cool down. The guilt question is solved, however, the workshop already determined that the axle had gotten off and the front car was pulled off. At the time it is not clear whether the patient came through, even if Fred was looking for a bad tooth.

  • Tesla overtakes Mercedes in the brand perception ranking

The report is here and surprises in some respects: http://www.consumerreports.org/…/index.htm Citation: The brand to watch is Tesla Motors, which jumped from 47 points last year, to fifth position and 88 points this year. Tesla had a strong, very public year, with soaring stock prices, magazine awards, sterling crash-test performance, and even complaining the spot as the top-rated car by Consumer Reports. Innovation, performance, and sleep styling is clearly gaining attention and making a positive impression. By accumulating points in several categories, Tesla had thought that it was possible to raise its overall score. This highlights the value of being at multiple things, racing points in several categories.

  • Tesla releases all patents

Wow… Quotation: All Our Patent Are Belong To You Yesterday, there was a wall of Tesla patents in the lobby of our Palo Alto headquarters. That’s no longer the case. They have been removed, in the spirit of the open source movement, for the advancement of electric vehicle technology. Tesla Motors was created to accelerate the advent of sustainable transport. If we clear a path to the creation of competing electric vehicles, but then lay intellectual property landmines behind us to inhibit others, we are acting in a maner contract to that goal. Tesla will not initiate patent laws against anyone who is in good faith, what to use … Source: All Our Patent Are Belong To You Yesterday, there was a wall of Tesla patents in the lobby of our Palo Alto headquarters.
