  • Hiiilfe, control times adjusted with ZR change

Hello dear elk community. As written a few days ago, the ZR change was on my elk (B5254S), which I did yesterday, actually ran well except for the fact that there were no markings on my camshaft wheels, which is why I had made them myself. After the assembly again turned to the crankshaft to see if the markings match, everything was good! Test drive made, elk set off, everything good! Today to work, heart attack, MKL goes to, home timing belt cover jammed camshaft markings turned and, heart attack the second, crankshaft marking by a tooth moved to the right. Belts, all wheels, WaPu, damper element, so everything! My question to the special lists: can I take off the belt after I have set the markings on the camswell wheels and then put the crankshaft around a tooth on “his” marking back (against the rotation direction of the engine) and then make everything as fixed or have to pay attention to anything? To a quick answer I would be very gratefully thank you!

  • Stainless steel fan manifold, which one you can take, which one not?

Hy, the martyrdom with my bad exhaust gas values should finally come to an end after a lively & expensive parts exchange should be completed. In the course of this, one saw that the turbo (already again ) has cracks on the bridge (only 3 years ago or so made new), but also the exhaust gas manifold is full of cracks inside (but still goes…). Exhaust gas temperature.Feeler would not be wrong here? Now I saw in the net https://…g-in-japan-performance.de/…/ Now ask whether the plug&play fits the 3″ BSR downpipe? Think that this is better than the original cast part?! Does any of you have a recommendation about this? Thank you lg Jerry

  • Super suction sound and transducer for V50 2.4i in just 30 minutes

Hello dear elk driver fellows… Have a little bit of the original air filter box “reoptimized”….(very expert, I know 🙂 ) and found amazing intake sound. In another thread someone has already taken a look at the box and threw out the load suction valve and a few other parts that have not been named further. I have still gone here and drilled into the 2 air collectors to the left of the intake tube to the lowest point on the ground each a 20mm hole. Is for the performance on hot engine perhaps a little slowing*, but the passage and the ingenious, aggressive, but not too intrusive intake sound from below, it is worth it all times. (* it will probably only cause to the test bench to be able performance loss.) I don’t believe it myself, since the air collectors themselves sit very close to the engine and become very warm, also the accumulated air should take over the heat.

  • V50 and the DPF

Hello, I have a problem with my 2008 V50 1.6D – rather with my DPF. At the end of last year it was the first time dense. I let it burn twice before I decided to let it work with a conditioner, so that it is like new again. That was at about 110000 km driven. Today (2 months after the preparation and nearly 3000 km driven) the car went back into the emergency run and the engine control light burns again. So the same symptom as the DPF was full. Even if I drive a lot of short distance in the city, I have driven from time to time also on long distance, where the DPF could have burned free. Can it really be that the DPF is back after such a short distance? (since the old 110000km held). Bzw. can this possibly be something else? Defected glow candles or something like that? Do you have a tip for me? Thank you very much in advance.

  • The current environmental debate.!

Hello As a Volvo driver it is clear which side I am on. That now our Chancellor is also vehemently strong for the car industry, I find it worrying. It is obvious that the production of fuel-eaters in the long term rather endangers the jobs. So slowly I ask, how strong the influence of the economy is and whether this is limited to the usual more or less legal bribes, or whether with so much money at stake (mord) threats are already common and present. Anyway, the limit of 120cc something is not the yellow of the egg. Why can you not also introduce pollution certificates in the car industry? All companies that only build fuel-eaters, pay on it, with many it will compensate itself and a few can profit from it just if they are smart. And that is twice because they remain competitive. And the consumer notices directly at the car price, where it hurts or he can save what, since most people with running costs like taxes or fuel-free as well as with a taste-free

  • Extension of rear lights

Hello to each other, simple? quick question: How can you extend the rear lights in the coach to get to the backlight?

  • Brakes

Good evening dear community, would there have been a question: From which BJ was actually the EBA (Emergency Brake Assistance) installed in the S60? (only from 2002)? Or otherwise asked: Is it possible that my S60 T5 year 2oo1 has no one? (I and the subsequent traffic at least did not notice it so far and in my manual there is also nothing of it…but there is nothing in it from the built-in panic fkt…. In the manual of the current BJ it says that the EBA is integrated in the DSTC, and that my elk has yes.) Thank you in advance. Greetings Fox p.s.: Please no discussion about the meaning and nonsense of this assis, I have already read enough about it thanks to the search fkt.

  • Fog/light right XC90?

Hello, the fog lamp in the XC 90 is left in the upper part of the bumper. Now I noticed yesterday, that the lamp on the right in the bumper also seems to have an incandescent lamp socket. (looks at it from the outside) This is actually without function, had thought that this only has the function of a reflector. Now the question: If you remodel these two as additional taillight, that is allowed. The function of the fog lamp must of course be preserved, e.g. with a 2 thread light. Technically I can do it, only what the TÜV uncles say about it. Thank you for your opinions in advance. Torsten who likes to rumbast on his vehicles……….
