  • Used F700GS or F800GS??

Hello, I’m just about to expand my A2 level driver’s license to A and intend to buy a “young” used F700GS or F800GS. I know that there is no objective answer to the question which of the two would be better suited! Nevertheless, I would be happy about a few opinions of people with GS experience!! To me. I have only been riding motorcycle for 3 years and had previously reduced to 48 HP Honda NC 750 X. I am 47 years old and have the dream of For me the speed is not in the foreground when riding a motorcycle. I drive mainly on the weekend, in nice weather smaller tours (usually under 100 KM) mostly without Sozius. Real terrain rides are not possible, gravel tracks can be it already in exceptional cases. But that then also very leisurely. Since I have set a clear price limit I was first sure that it should be a 700er. Reason for this was einfafa The more I deal with the question, the more I think about taking maybe a 800er. Here, however, there is not the 10 HP more in the foreground, but rather the higher seating position (I am 1.86 meters long) and the somewhat more mature, masculine appearance of the 800er. Now I am faced with the fundamental question, for my budget a About 2 years old 700ers with 5-10 TKM mileage to buy, or just a rather 4 years old 800ers with more mileage. As I said, I would be happy about opinions or experiences. Maybe someone was already faced with the same question! Thanks and a lot of greetings Guido

  • What is that???

Hello together, does someone know what kind of hose (see appendix) that is and where it is about sitting?

  • Would you like to buy a used Panamera Turbo ?

Hello guys, I hope a few helpful tips and opinions from you. I decided to buy a Panamera Turbo Bj. 2009 – 2010. I have unfortunately never driven Porsche, in general never bought a used car therefore little experience and hope a few tips. I already have a few turbo in the narrow selection. The prices differ however, despite only minimal differences. The question is what kind of a Turbo Bj. 2009 with about 98,000 – 110,000 km value Is ?, It goes from 55.000 Euro upwards (color must be black or white and no longer about 115000km) What must be particularly paid attention to such a Turbo ? I found one of the VK has meant the vehicle comes originally from Belgium but has a DE registration, is that a disadvantage or reducing value ? Thank you in advance for helpful answers and especially tips on what I should be paying attention to and if 100,000 km are already “too much” ?

  • Mercedes W 116, what should I pay attention to?

Hello to the round, I’m just looking for a well-kept 116er between 1975 and 1979. Does anyone have experiences about the model here and can give me some basic tips? I mean less the maintenance and fuel costs, but rather something in the direction of “possible increase in value of certain models and colors / interior equipment”. So far I consider the 280er than 280SE the most reasonable solution. The engine with the later overhauled injection system and then 177 HP. Thanks for Your tips! Greetings, Filou

  • Which car is this axe from?

Good evening Oldtimer friends, on Saturday I stumbled on the roof floor in a dark corner over an axle. (see photos). my first (not unfounded) conjecture was DKW or Goggo. but that doesn’t seem to be true. Renault is also a hot candidate. the letters and numbers on the part don’t bring me any further. someone knows which vehicle the axle belongs to. I don’t bring a NOS part that probably dates back to the 50s/60s. simply knock into the ton.

  • How bad is salt really for old cars?

Two years ago I bought a 106 Xsi from 1995 as a cheap first car and had to invest almost 800 francs directly for the MFK because of welding work in the wheel box VR, the seller had said that the left one was already made and the right one is good, which was unfortunately not correct. I was directly intimidated by further rust. Now I did not drive a meter last winter when salt was on the road, and had still had a relatively large amount of flight rust under the The car was removed from me as well as I could, then covered with hammerite and some color, 100% was not possible because of the conditions. Lots of rust was in places with cavities, but I could not look at the inside of course, but only outside. I also used some cavity protection at the end. Now to the questions: How much fear should I have of the salt? Basically I can also do without the car in winter, and the second car of my father fa (Unfortunately only about 100km of e-range in winter), but of course I prefer to drive my small car. I will go to the mountains for that, I am still thinking about whether I really want to do this to my car, or whether I should go by train. How long does salt really stay on the road? Does it have to rain properly, or is it enough if it is dry again for a few days? In Zurich the snow rarely stays longer than a few days. Which is also provisional, if it is zb at night under 0 degrees, which is often the case. How bad is salt when it is dry? Basically, it simply makes me wonder how you deal with this topic. I have already seen that there are some posts about it, but there are usually 20 pages written and very quickly people get caught in other topics, which have nothing to do with the question. Therefore thank you for your opinions Tim many thanks for the information.

  • Which rectifier/controller for Allcars Charly Mopedauto

Hello, I am currently restoring a very rare moped car, an Allcars Charly from Italy. The Mechanic components are now working, now it should go to the electrics… Information or even spare parts are unfortunately hardly to be found for this rare vehicle. There is no schematic! The part of which I think it was the controller / rectifier is not much left. A manufacturer or similar can not be recognized either. For this reason I wanted a uni I have no idea what to look for. Correct dimensioning(amps)? Regulator or rectifier? or both? Then in a component or separate? How to connect, cable? etc… Built is a 50ccm 2stroke moped motor from motori morini with out-of-print ignition coil and flylight magnetic ignition According to the operating instructions, the motor delivers 75w, according to other Charly owners at 6v!!! The board system in general, however, runs completely with 12v!! A battery is provided in the vehicle! (How should that be enough for light, horn, windscreen wiper etc.?!) Do you have an idea which controller / rectifier I need there? Or both? If you still need information please let us know. Thanks already in advance! I look forward to your contributions.

  • Strange suspension noise (?) at the FK3

So yesterday I noticed it for the first time, today in the morning then again: If I drive with my FK3 over a light road elevation (even at a very low speed), then it creaks and creaks quite terribly from the left front, so actually very close to where I am sitting while driving. But not always, but actually rarely anyway. Nevertheless … The sound sounds about as if I was sitting up somewhere, somehow such a grinding noise, but it can nic I got out yesterday and found that it can’t be possible at this point that I sit up. Today the same thing. It was just a small wave in the road surface, that’s all. So I certainly didn’t sit up. Then I thought about the tank – but it can’t be either. Even if the fuel hits the tank wall, it never sounds so horrible and loud. It definitely can’t be! Then I thought about harmful shock absorbers. In addition, my FK3 was delivered in June 2006 and the new shock absorbers were already installed. Apart from that, I had NEVER problems with it until yesterday. Yesterday at mileage 10.150 I noticed it for the first time. It only takes a short time, maybe 3 seconds and then it is over. Could not notice any damage in the driving operation so far, the car is as always safely on the S And since yesterday I’ve been driving about 130 km and the noise has occurred twice, each time I ride over a slight bump in the asphalt surface. I don’t know what to do. If the noise comes up a few more times now, I’ll probably have to go to the workshop. I’ll watch it.

  • Reflections on CR-V

Hi guys, I’ve already written a lot about the CR-V and now I want to contribute my part. I’m excited about the shape and the interior of the vehicle and it doesn’t get out of my mind either. However, there are some points I don’t like and where I think that Honda saves on a vehicle that can cost more than 40 000 euros and does not meet the requirement as a premium product and withholds my purchase decision. Lights: Even the dealer could not tell me if BiXenon is installed. However, it can be easily clarified during a test drive. No CH and FH function of the headlights. bonnet has to be held with rod, so no gas pressure dampers. Doors or hechgate have no position lights. A course guide in this class. Foot interior lighting must be ordered and paid for. Doors do not close automatically after reaching 15km/h. No drawers under the seats. Passenger seat not height-adjustable. No memory function with the electric seat adjustment. No CD changer with Navi possible. Alternatively for more than 200 Euro Ipod connection. Armrest of the rear seat is a misconstruction. Medium level in the luggage compartment is only up to 10 kilos loadable and thus not to be used for everyday use. Rear doors were not properly installed with 6 vehicles/column dimensions. for the diesel is to be delivered, hopefully will change by 2008. That’s all I can think of.

  • FK: opinions up to 20 inches

it will probably be checked rims up to the size of 20 inches. because I find that even 19s look relatively small. yes I know those are certainly severe that doesn’t come before… but I’m an optik-fetischist.http://www.tuev-sued.de/rtc/news/en/plan2006.html
