  • Yanmar engine does not start

    Hello, I have a mini excavator with Yanmar engine. It suddenly doesn’t start. Ignition (preglow) works audible. However, nothing happens when the ignition key is turned on. The starter doesn’t make a sound. Instead, the main fuse (40A) burns. The starter has 1,1kW. At 12V, 90A should flow here, i.e. the current for the starter probably doesn’t go over the fuse. I would therefore exclude the starter myself. I beat the starter relay to this effect. If the impedance of the coil matches the data sheet, it should leave about 0.1A here. What else could lead to this high current? Does anyone know advice? Stephan
