  • Old bag

Hy Bikers I’m going to be 60 next year and I’ve been thinking about buying a heritage for my birthday. I’ve been a crazy HD fan for decades, visiting all exhibitions and HD meetings, all love-rides, I have about 50 cm of HD books in my book frame, wearing HD underwear etc. usf. – short: I want to finally fulfill a dream! My wife has (more or less) agreed with it, my whole circle of friends finds the idea excellent. I have been driving since 40 Years of car, but I don’t have a driver’s license for heavy things yet, my motorcycle knowledge is limited to small peppers. Maybe there is someone in this talk who can talk me out of this Sch.. idea or can tell me about similar “grandfather experiences” 😉 I wish everyone a good start to 2005 good luck and health Henry Zollinger, Switzerland

  • Manufacturer of kits for AC Cobra 427

After many years I think about making my dream car myself. Can you call me a few manufacturers of kits with which you have had experience, or which you can recommend?

  • Market price Mercedes-Benz W123 Coupe

Hello together! I would like to buy a Mercedes-Benz W123 Coupe, preferably a 230 CE or 280 CE. In addition to a technically usable condition, a mileage of not more than 200,000 km as well as an intact body without large rusting points are important to me. The saddle grade should not be worse than 3. Has someone experience with such a vehicle and can give me tips on what to pay special attention to (weaknesses) and what a realistic price for r can be a 30-year-old vehicle? Thank you in advance for your feedback!

  • YZF 750 goes out again and again

Hello, so my problem is that my 95 he runs out again and again, and that’s it to despair, I set valves in the summer, had carburetors synchronized, Maschiae was set on a dynamometer. In doing so, jet poles were renewed because the engine ran vieeellll all the way too fat. So after airbox was cut, K&N was installed, everything was really re-adjusted you ran quite well (109hp) on the bike. Well and now it goes to me again and again The suction nozzles are slightly porous, but before I change the tap I would like to hear your opinions. Oh yes, I have had the problem since the beginning of the year that the machine is running just 240 things, and according to other YZF owners their machines run so up to almost 270 kmh. Now what do you advise me? New carburetor battery u suction nozzle? Or a plausible other idea? Ps: Does someone know what mi a conversion to a 1000 engine costs incl. installation and what to pay attention to? I heard that the FZR engine is usually taken, but the 1000 it has from the Thunderrace probably better valves and bearings. Greeting with the left from the pot

  • Driving students learn on FZR 600 and need tips

Hi, guys, I’m doing my Fühererschein A (directly) and so I’m driving an unrestricted machine. It’s an FZR 600 (at least which year). So far I’ve read everywhere that the FZR is not a beginner machine, but I haven’t driven another “big” one yet, so I don’t feel like comparing it. My instructor says that it’s no problem, but I haven’t really looked at the machine yet. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have another open one, so i I wanted to ask the FZR cracks here for some helpful tips. For example, I have problems with the FZR reasonably and controlled to drive slowly, slalom works quite well, but the circuit ride … somehow jerks and rattles the machine in the 2nd gear up to about 30 km/h – slow driving is probably not possible in the 2nd gear without coupling work, right? Have I already driven overland, so only yesterday, it was quite windy and it has made me I was supposed to drive 100 times and when I had the machine at about 90 km/h, it was as if there was nothing more than a performance. I drove in the 4th gear and was at about 5,000 rpm. (I think) Can that be? Usually it has to go off in this area…? So now I have written a lot. Maybe one or the other has a useful driving or handling tip for me. I am grateful for every friendly comment.

  • 1000 FAZER… ???

I’m just in the Bergiff to think if I’m buying a second mashie for everyday use… The problem is that I can’t keep up with my SSP friends in our fields with the sumo… and there are also some tours to be done… now my question, I heard the fazer is the optimal bike for everything!? I haven’t driven yet but the tests and the otics speak for themselves… What do you think about this part???

  • In-flow oil filters

Hello, I would like to install a secondary flow oil filter in my oldi. Of course not to extend the oil exchange intervals, but because the vehicle does not have a reasonable oil filter in the main current (only has a wire split filter). Now there are different suppliers of such a thing, mostly small unknown companies, but also the filter giant MANN offers fine filter elements for the secondary current. Is there actually great difference in effectiveness? I am sure that I will still get filter elements in 20 years’ time, maybe there are no other small suppliers anymore. Best regards, Bernhard

  • Methods for permanent folding-rust elimination sought

My question also refers to less historic vehicles – but they rust like a Frenchman from the 70s… On the pictures you can see how it rusts out of the fold. This fold represents the overlap with which parts of a wheelhouse are dotted together. Probably also in some places not only 2, but several sheets are frowned together. And then especially thick and auc h perfects various layers of carross and anti-drying compounds. Serially. Now the question is what to do in order to maintain the cart in the long term. Do I first tear away the whole batch with a rotating wire brush, brush and then grind as well as it goes away the rust ? Then still rust remains between the sheets in the fold. If I treat them with wax or grease (Mc Sanders or something), the subsequent painting does not make any fun at all. How is it with Fertan e tc. ? The stuff has to be removed after the effect again. How do you get it out of the fold ? When I open the fold, cut it open to remove any rust, then the whole front car is a construction site . A lot of stuff has to be out – if not the whole engine . And either I do it step by step or the box has to be fixed on a car body bench . No matter how, a pleasure it is certainly not . Maybe you have some suggestions for me … The rust parker PS : The data sticker w It’s made out of courtesy to the vehicle manufacturer, this dumpster, unrecognizable.
