Hello, I’m thinking of buying a K 1200 GT. At the moment I drive an FJR 1300 (not four weeks) but I have some incidents that have spoiled my taste of Yamaha. One can say about BMW what you want, if you really have a problem, then try to at least help them. What that costs is the other. To the actual question: The K has 8 hp more than the FJR, is thus in the insurance but loose 180€ higher in the year, I see that somehow No. Now I have read in some tests that the measured power is somewhere at 145-146 hp, of course with a certain scatter. Now I have the following phantasm; how useful would it be to drive on a test bench and have the power registered accordingly? Probably the effort clearly exceeds the benefit, but the hope dies as it is known cruelly but last. LG

BMW motorcycle two-wheeler master reliability
Hello together, I kindly ask for your opinion on this case: I take my mopped every two years to a free motorcycle workshop. I have been visiting these for four years now, since I have my BMW, because the champion has learned there on BMW and can also provide BMW. Since I have little time, but always want a well-maintained mopped, I give my mopped for maintenance with the following order: perform all necessary maintenance, change all oils and fluids, brake check. Change wear parts if necessary. Please ask me for any additional work required from your point of view and for higher issues please contact me. So now I had my moped there in winter and picked it up again in April. All the work was done, (among other things the brake pads were replaced) the price was also fine. Now I measured the strength of the brake discs (original since 75,000 km), front (set to: 5+-0.1 ; minimum: 4,5; IS : 4,1 !!!) back (Sell: 5 ; Minimum: 4,6; IS : 4,4 !!!) Since the above mentioned workshop stay the mopped was not driven 200 km. Now I am more than shocked. May something like this happen ? My question to you: how should I behave ? since this is the only Wekstatt, which is relatively easy to reach I do not want to go somewhere else. But my trust is gone.

Self-employed as a taxi operator
Hello, I create this topic together with a friend who has been employed as a taxi driver in Mannheim since 3 years. He has been playing with thoughts for a few months to become self-employed in this industry, but does not know exactly what additional costs would be for him as a self-employed person. For this reason we would be very grateful if someone could give us answers to the following questions. 1. Fuel costs can already be calculated, just like the car tax (about 300€ depending on Hubrau 2. Car insurance??? How much % does one start as a new self-employed person? And can one take over the percentages from the private car? 3. Health insurance?? His wife works and is socially insured by her company. What about the private health insurance? Does he then only have to pay the private KV for himself or does he, despite the employment of his wife, have to take out a private KV for her and her son? Or can he avoid the costs of the private KV so that he is insured by his wife? What does private health insurance cost monthly? Are there any insurances added???? 4. Accounting??? Since he can not do the accounting himself, he has to order a tax consultant. What do they demand about a month??? 5. Head office in Mannheim requires about 400€/monthly for the placement of the orders. 6. For the beginning he would buy a used taxi in cash. Is that enough or do you have to expect more? 7. Are there any additional costs that we might have forgotten? We would like to thank you for your answers in advance. LG A&T

Unusual taxi – chance of registration?
Hello, I have a question that has been buzzing around my head for some time: Can you, for example, allow a duck (Citroen 2CV) as a taxi? What criteria are there regarding safety, emission standard or body shape, number of seats?

What engine oil?
Hello, I recently bought a London taxi BJ 1996 with 2.7 l Nissan diesel engine. The mileage is about 550,000 km. In the course of the exchange of all liquids there is of course also an oil change. Which oil would you recommend? Unfortunately I have no idea what London cabbies are driving for oil… or what is now in it. The manufacturer’s “minimum requirement” is: “MIL-1-46152 or BLS 22 OL.02 or A.P.I. SE/CC nor at the enormous mileage of the engine of course for the engine the best possible, but take no risk. Thank you in advance and greeting

Buying a taxi?
Hello dear Taxiforen, I have become aware of your forum/blog due to a search at google and please you. Jürgen I had already written to you and then decided to post it in public…I never find several opinions hurt… many thanks in advance. In advance to my person: I have been an entrepreneur for over 10 years and have 3 companies and 19 employees with my business partners. We are active in the areas of mobile communications, car rental and car rental. A business consultant called me and offered me a taxi company with 5 concessions in the area of Braunschweig, small town with 30,000 inhabitants. The figures sounded ok: Company profit is close to 80,000€ constant the last 3 years. Selling takes place because the owner is a 69 year old lady without follow-up regulation and so slowly wants to step a little shorter. My question: what is the taxi business like? What will happen to the taxi business in the future? Are the numbers ok or bad? Is The lady demands a purchase price of 110,000€ (from 150,000€). The cars are a Mercedes 211, a Viano, 2 Movano and a Touran of which only 2 are still in the financing. The lady currently drives a whole shift herself and also makes the headquarters while you drive and coordinates the drivers. Have read a lot in the forums and my first gut feeling tells me to let go of…and another it too dare…what to be an entrepreneur ;-). Since the lady wants to ride half a shift she remains a little bit with me or I have time to grow a ladder. I myself plan to take care of it. What do you think about it? I am grateful about your opinions

El. tailgate with gesture control?
Good morning together, we have a Macan GTS (FL) in stock since mid-December, which is equipped with Keyless Entry. An electric tailgate is on board anyway. My question is whether the tailgate is then equipped with a gesture control (footkick or wading) as with the Cayenne in order to open the tailgate. If so, how do you have to proceed (weaving or kicking)? Unfortunately, there is nothing in the “Good to know” app…

Install handbrake valve from Volvo in MAN
Hello I drive a MAN TGA with a mega saddle and have to lift the air suspension a lot on the trailer, because the trailer is braking with it, always creates a voltage and does not go quite high, the same if I drive with a raised axle and then turn off the ignition and the axle lowers. Since the trailer does not brake with the attached spring memory, I thought if I can possibly install the hand brake valve and the release valve into the TGA, so the trailer would not be born If I should park in the mountain, I can still brake the trailer with the release valve. does that fit from the connections or do you have to change more? And please only answer my question and no statements as forbidden and so…., thank you 🙂
