  • 855 20v has start problems after short drive…

    moin, have there 2 motor themes to my volvo: for some time now the good start problems, if you want to start it again shortly after the cold start after a short drive. the cold start after a longer break, over night e.g., always works perfectly. is immediately there. if I make an interstop to fill up before a longer drive and the car has been driven almost 5-10 minutes, it only jumps very sluggishly again, sometimes even completely drains off and is then only after After a long standing time, it goes again. after a long drive, it also jumps directly. the workshop has in the following ignition coil, candles, cables (approx. 2 years /30,000 km), distributor (approx. 3 years /50,000 km) checked – those were probably in order – and finally installed a new crankshaft sensor. the above described problem remained a 2. problem is perhaps related to the first: the car has an above-average oil consumption or loss: about 2 years ago, the cylinder head seal including all the simmer rings, oil trap and their supply lines plus gasket have been re-made by the oil filler. since then, I have had a rest for a while. but in the meantime, the motor oil presses from the filler nozzle (despite the relatively new gasket) and also from the oil meter. the engine collects under the plastic cover every quantity of oil in the depths in the course of the time. from everyone’s foundation too much oil pressure is built up. the workshop attributes that to the high performance, cover and only by a complete revision of the engine to fix, ergo exitus… the car has now run just over 400.00 km. was that now? I have always worked the last years against the repair and would still be the one or the other. others invest, but no complete engine repair. does anyone have an idea for this? am grateful for any advice!…

  • Light bulbs ECC unit

    Moin,Moin! Yesterday I had my light bulbs changed from the ECC unit, unfortunately my workshop futzi, pulled the wrong handle, namely the coupling rod for the actuators. After the rod has been inserted and secured in its seat again, I have since then minus strokes in the temp display. (if ignition is switched off, but disappear after 2 sec.) I had a error code reading made today. 8errors were stored, which could not be deleted. Kan P.s. Switch motors cannot be synchronized, even though the rod moves back and forth.

    Sacre bleu! (or so) This morning the left pulley of the timing belt was crumbling. Unfortunately far away from home in southern France… sniffing… had just new 2mufflers in it and 2 years TÜV in sight. Merde.. Let’s see what the workshop says.   • Volvo S80 V8 H approval

    Hello together,I have a Volvo S80 V8 Bj. 2006 I will have the exhaust system built by Heico. Now I was offered whether I want to have a system with Sportkat ́s installed immediately (of course all TÜV just). My problem is the following. If I do this with the exhaust system, there are certainly problems when it goes to the H-approval or ? All I ask do not know exactly and advise me about it (if I want to have an H-approval). knows it: Everything that was available for my Volvo 10 years after the first registration, I can retrofit and would still be allowed for the H approval. Will also do a few other things about it, but first of all to the exhaust system.Has anyone had any experience with this topic ?

  • Starting weakness and lethargy from 3500U/min

    Hello for now,I haven’t been here for a long time but now I have some questions about my new V70 built in 2013! Is the first time I drive a Volvo Diesel(D4 163hp) that makes me notice that the vehicle is very hard to drive.When starting on a slope I felt like a beginner!Without the speed so to keep 1500U/min almost impossible! Differently between 1500U/min-3500U/min in the lower gears ,there he goes really well , after this brand unexpectedly uses a kind of lethargy, one might almost think it wants to tell me;College turned high I don’t want to.Other short stroke diesel can do that much better.A lack of my vehicle or generally usual with Volvo? Had a long time ago a car rental Volvo V70 with diesel which also had 163hp (was so around 2004) but went far more homogenous to the matter! Furthermore I wanted to treat myself to a 2channel chip tuning box from TPM(had I previously already been very frieze When I got the answer :I will not do Volvos any more in the near future since the injectors and the Turbo already work on your limit and a further use of the performance would exceed these!? Are Volvo professionals at the start who could refute this statement or confirm! Please for your help MfG Michael

  • slight (nerrvous) jerking 2.5T

    Hello municipality, I have a V70 III 2.5T from 2008 for several weeks. The car has run 130000km and is maintained checkbook. What annoys me a bit is a slight jerking when driving… definitely comes off the engine. At full throttle everything is ok, but with a slight gas giving it accelerates irregularly. As if it had “light” ignition oscillations…. especially after the turn, you notice this when speeding slightly. …. but mostly in the lower speed range.Consumption is normal at about 9.5 to 10 liters, spark plugs (original Volvo Turbo candles) are also new. Error memory shows no errors… LMM was also exchanged, but did not bring any improvement. Volvo-Heini had no idea, except for the saying that the engine “modest” runs… he had no idea and said I should drive until a mistake appears… SUUUUUUPER IDEE!! 🙁 Maybe one of you has a ignite idea or experience honoring with such a problem ???   • Automatic – Newbie … How to go through the wash road? 🙂

    Sorry, the question is really serious… I’ve been washing by hand so far, but at the moment I don’t have the time and I would like to drive through a (very good) wash road… Only on the way there the thought came to me… How???? Since the Volvo is my first automatic car, I don’t have any experience how that goes exactly… In “N” I can’t turn off the car. So only “P” would turn off and “N” would go… I don’t think I can go from P to N, if the car is off… (gear lock?) And if I let the engine run, switch to N and stay in it … then this City-Save grabs when the washbrushes come and makes a full brake? Can someone help me and explain the “procedur”?
