  • Water drain hose sliding roof repair driver side

Hello everyone, now it happened to me. Wet feet on the driver’s side. But it’s not so dramatic, the fault is the tube on the left side of the sliding roof at the height of the switchboard. It’s also only a few drops if the thickness is longer in the rain (I wouldn’t like it if I were a car). Didn’t notice anyone before, since it is either moved or in the garage (and there’s no rain there 😉 The hose doesn’t seem to lead into the rubber cover in the spray wall, but into the control panel irwana and the water drips diligently onto the footrest. (The car got a new front window (originally at VW) at the pre-owned time, if there was something botched?) Question is now, how to fix the whole without huge effort? How do I get the hose frozen again in the tulle, you see yes? – from the outside? i.e. wipe down, wind run away, pull off tulle towards the water box, hose a piece from the inside through the hole and with tulle push back? – or from the inside? Footroom cladding away, behind safety box with piano paws ( unfortunately have fingers like mettwürstchen) together? or how? Thanks for your information. Wetfoot Klaus PS: it’s not so much water that I have to worry about the ECUs. Only the carpet below the footrest is surface-moist. Luckily.

  • Differences in track bars or spring legs

Hey guys, I finally have to adjust the track because of the change of the crossbar a while ago. And also a cathedral camp is due. As not to be expected, the track bars are fixed at the front. Now I have looked a little and found that there are different OE numbers with the track rods and the cathedral camp (the spring leg mount). 1. What is different with the track bars for the facelift (from Y000001) compared to the VFL? 2. What is different with the middle track bar for Our omega is deeper. 3. Why is the OE number of the spring leg mount also different with the facelift than with the VFL. Only the Y22XE with normal FW has the old OE number. Almost all spare parts, which you get half-way cheap, refer to the OE numbers of the VFL. Only very few manufacturers give as a reference that of the FL. For example, I would pay “only” 30 euros for the dome bearings (incl. recording) of KYB, for which the FL corresponds to the equivalent of Sachs 55 Eu. ro. I don’t want to talk about the NoName things here. With the track rods the same thing. I find here only original GM or TRW sprustangen for the facelift, in the bay there are still unknown ones of ‘nem FOH, which offers there parts (have already ordered there several times, the Quali was also with identification things i.e.). With the middle there is only original (250 Euro/pcs.). What is so different? Ne idea (I also have) or knowledge?

  • Phaeton lettering tailgate

There are certainly a large number of members in the forum who have a Phaeton with lettering on the luggage compartment flap. I only had the sign delivered to me and have now come to the conviction to attach it. My request to you, inform me of the dimensions of the distances. In the middle is already clear, but e.g. from above so lights to the VW emblem or below to the edge tail flap. From images it can be assumed that the lower edge of the lights could also be lower edge lettering.

  • Blow engine – possibly suitable alternative?

While browsing, I came across an offer on eBay for a blower fan, for an A8. I noticed that this one looks very similar to that of Phaeton. https://www.ebay.de/itm/283932152758 If someone just has an original at hand, would it be possible that they could sacrifice themselves and compare the fans? Perhaps would be a suitable alternative part. Or maybe someone even knows it.

  • Ignition no longer works after use of the spare key

A nice evening together, today seems to have taken me a lot of bad luck. On the weekend I left my first key with a colleague in the car and thought to myself – nothing matter, you have the second key at home, can wait. Now I took my second key today and found that the battery is empty. Had to open the car with the physical key and also start by turning around in the ignition lock. So far so good, the car went on and showed in the instrument cluster only, a battery change would be due + key symbol. So I completed several rides and left it standing. Hours later I wanted to leave again, but the key turn did not cause anything. Entertainment etc. normally starts by itself. – I changed the key battery and convinced myself to be able to open and close the car again with this key. -The hope that the first key brought by later would be via ignition lock or ke yless can’t be ignited either. So it’s clearly not up to the keys themselves. Luckily I have access to VCDS… following error messages jumped out. The first will probably criticize the battery of the second key. The second one was written exactly at the moment when I turned the key “unsuccessfully” at 12:42 the first time. See screenshots. What can or should I do best? Thank you in advance.

  • V50 2.4i Electronic problems

Hello, with my V50 the following problem occurred: At one stroke loud error messages. immobilizer, brake fluid level too low (but is not so), wiping water too low (is not so) etc. Cars could not be started any more. This succeeded only after the battery was disconnected – 5 min wait – clamp on the 3rd or 4th time. Then he ran and made further strangeness. Then the flasher flashed at once and could not be turned off again. During the ride no Dre The battery has 12 volts of voltage. Thought first the voltage would be too low and had bridged. That probably wasn’t it. Did they now expand, the car is without voltage. Maybe the error memory is empty tonight. Did someone have the same problem? Is this possibly a known problem? Thank you for your answers.

  • V50 handlebar front

Hi guys, I just sold a couple of great third party rims from my v50. The tires were much stronger on the inside than on the outside, which probably points to the rear bearings on the front side handlebars these have also first cracks…(was just in the Volvo workshop anyway and had this looked at, at least domlag is still ok and steering and wheel bearing also ) I think it will then anyway the whole cross handlebar…. What amazes me are the price differences… I’m looking at Skand right now. ix, original volvo 182,66 Skandix house brand 65,55 Is there anything (except Volvo’s profit margin and pursuit of wealth) that justifies this price difference ? skandix does not sell a cheap shell or ? The corresponding bolts you take also immediately new or ? If I have replaced the parts, then I have to remeasure / adjust the chassis ? As always thank you, Jo

  • Consumption winter- summer tyres

Hello! I have a stupid phenomenon for me with my C70. Classic I know the thing so that one consumes more with winter tyres than with the summer flaps. With the motorizations usually about 0.5l more in winter. Now the thing is however the other way around. Summer Apollo 235/40 R18 Winter Continental Wintercontact 215/55 R16 Furthermore, the summer flaps are so sensitive from Spurrillen, a premature exchange is not really worthwhile, however, as soon as they are in the Kri What can you recommend for the summer tyres or who already had this phenomenon?

  • V50 Trunk

Hello, I am not a V50 owner, but I would like to get one, which deters me a little bit is the size of the trunk – it is given with 419 L. I was already looking at a pair of used ones, I noticed that the trunk would still theoretically have reserve – if one looks at the styrofoam tub (with reserve wheel etc.) under the trunk floor, the m.E. could be made quite 5 cm lower, to me at first sight nothing is up Is the sci-fi what I am fantasizing about, or would it be realistic? Thank you. EDIT: still to the info – I looked at V50 of the year 2007, mostly 1.6 D in the equipment variant Momentum
