  • My Resume after the First Year Volvo V70 D5

Hello guys, I would like to list here my ups and downs after the first year as moose driver: Volvo V70 D5 Comfort, 163 HP Bj 2004 in March 2012 with 141tkm bought. Since then repairs occured: Right on purchase it was clear that the transverse handlebars and the timing belts need to be renewed. At 145tkm then the first disillusionment: rear Nivo dampers defective, an expensive fun if you don’t have such a car for long… 150tkm: engine runs top, so still a so called chip tuning installed, now according to test stand 211 HP go t like hell 152tkm: in humid weather on the front spring legs, well-known disease, the rubber parts that come between damper and spring renewed, in which breath immediately the spring leg bearings participated, were still in fact, but I know my luck.. and there anyway already apart… 155tkm: In Holland let the edge heating unlock, already at the purchase was clearly that the heater is defective, in Germany then still completely new combustion chamber. was not cheap, but so ́n warm car in the Wi Nter is already the banger 159tkm: hand brake lining solved. New hand brake pads plus discs and pads at the rear, was already obvious when buying that they are not for long. 165tkm (last week): engine in emergency run, message high emission—> AGR valve defective. It is done again the moose. The only problem still pending is a pole left front, but only at temperatures of 3-5 degrees and less. Now not to hear again, already everything checked, but no game fes As you can see, I had to do a lot of things about the moose. On the one hand I have to say that I am a bit disappointed to have buttered so much money and time in the moose after a year, on the other hand I see this realistic, it is not a new car anymore and if you see the car ́s of other manufacturers, it is not necessarily better with them either. In addition, I did this myself anyway, because a good acquaintance has a car workshop. Maybe it will be niger.., we both had to get to know each other really well but apart from the repairs I am still super satisfied and happy with the moose, a car in the class I never had before and always when I think partly bad about it and then ride again in such a funny 4 cylinder diesel of other manufacturers, I am always enthusiastic about how smooth the D5 is. Conclusion: Until now my next car (but only in 4-5 years) will be again a Volvo. Hope you can take from the thread something for your own appreciation of your elk greeting, Henning

  • Question on Xenon retrofitting

Servus, I have now got two xenon headlights and would like to install them of course. Since I have a level control installed, I also have the inclination sensor at the HA. Is this the sensor that is also used for the ALWR at the Xenon? How is the signal processed or from where can it be obtained? Greeting, Thorsten

  • Error reading shows a few problems – who can help?

Hello forum. I bought a GP3 with first registration 12/2010 as a long version a few days ago. I am actually quite happy so far and have only a small list of errors (knock on wood). With 4 screenshots of my error selection. By the way, all these errors can not be deleted, but are permanently present. “Releasing seat heating” – I don’t notice anything so far. The seat heating works on all four places. What could this error mean? “Stand motor f ür Umluftklappe” – Here the selection speaks of a defect. Is this error known and can the umluftklappe be repaired relatively easily or is a specialist workshop required for this? “Temperature sensor for seat backrest” – I can’t quite understand that either. What could that mean exactly? “Motor for child safety back right” – this is actually my biggest problem so far. The door can only be opened from the outside and the window lifter only works from the control panel v If you press the button to open the back door (as if you are sitting on the back seat) then you can hear a quiet click. No noises occur when you press the close function. Is there a control part installed in the door? If yes, does one know the name or possibly part number? If one is able to remove the door panel, then this should be a feasible task, right? I would be happy if one of you can help me VG Tom

  • Volvo V70 2.5T AWD hand switch

Hello, I am interested in a Volvo V70 2.5T AWD as a hand switch (built in 1997, 208 TKM). Would I be pleased if someone would write a few details about my questions: – Was there generally Murks in this series, such as strong corrosion in the W210 series (Mercedes-Benz)? – Is the engine/turbo stable – especially with this “high” mileage? – Are there problems with the four-wheel drive (angle gearbox, cardan shaft, …)? – Electronic problems? – Other known defects? Knock it off.

  • Registration figures Volvo 850 R

The Volvo 850 R was only available with Modeljahr/Bj. 1996 (not T5 or T5-R) Can anyone make a statement or disclose information about how many more there are currently in Germany?! I would like to focus on the Limo as the 854, but further information from the 855 R (Kombi) are also of interest.

  • Moose husks blue

… and yet another thing that makes me a bit of a headache: For a few weeks or even months I have been watching in the rear-view mirror when starting “sometimes” ( ! ) a significant blue or gray or gray-blue cloud behind my animal. Also definitely only comes at the moment of starting at the first turns – after that there is nothing more to see. Interestingly, he does not do this regularly, e.g. after hours of service time or similar. No: Sometimes in the morning at cold start, sometimes after a rest type after I can’t really get a rhyme on it. Oil consumption is rather modest and completely normal. Head with VSD and oil trap were made completely new 2.5 years ago. Running power since the approx. 15 TKM, rather less. Since January I drive again regularly 2x 25 KM and rather hardly a short distance. Performance is absolutely OK. I have to continue my Kop F make ?

  • 850 TDI and Shell Ultimate Diesel

After the last middle disaster with my 8 TDI I now get new valves and a lot more. Reason for a ZR jumper. When the engine was disassembled, i.e. totally coked valves were found. That they still closed was probably a miracle. Sooner or later I would have had problems anyway. The main reason is probably my permanent cruising, in addition missing long distance rides. The boss from the workshop now said that I should kick the box from time to time. I have always dismissed this Ultimate-Plörre as a money cutter. I don’t want to break a new fundamental discussion from the fence now, only in my particular case would I be interested in whether there is anything to it. Is there any experience?

  • Brake fluid loss

…. different! So about every 4 weeks I once had the lamp on (NO – the red one in the speedometer for brake). Looked, was always missing only minimally. Bish after tilted, calm. Over time the distances however became smaller and the quantities more. Only where? Did then finally have to check in the workshop – unfortunately was not there. My favorite screwdriver said: Down everything close. But under the brake fluid control tank is something like switches (brake pressure switch?) with 2 stripps penetrated. Now I have updated my computer and there is no “vatti” on it yet. Can anyone of you see what part this should be ? Better still: Does someone know this problem and has such a part by chance still lying ? (Hello Michael …..)

  • Continuation of old theme “has-someone-a-schematic-of-a-v70-2-4t-bj-99-mod-00”

Hello, everyone who can remember the NeverEndingStoryhttps://www.motor-talk.de/…/…0-2-4t-bj-99-mod-00-t6841051.html?… Now engine damage. As with the engine 3 years ago, exhaust valve burned down again on the first cylinder. Actually, the replacement engine came with its own suction bridge and throttle valve. But as I only saw now, with the old injection nozzles. Now these were in the course of this extreme search, yes resealed ect., but in itself never looked at. Now I think it’s this easy t. The company with which I have this right now, also makes racing cars ect., and thought that the valve burned down because it ran too thin. Now the head is made complete. I am now considering whether I should immediately clean the green injection nozzles, maybe the brown ones are too small, for the performance. Although it is said that the brown up to 280-290hp go !? From what performance can one use the green ones, and what must be changed about the software ? Does someone have a Tip where I can get some new, cheap? Thanks lg Jerry

  • Engine oil flushing

Hello, thought to carry out an engine oil flushing on my vehicles, since all beyond the 200 Tkm and the Opel 2.2 DTI BJ 2001 (up to 165 tkm now 202 tkm) and the two Volvos (2.5 10V Bj 1995/2.3 T5 Bj 94) were only filled with 10 W 40. The two also have beautiful deposits on oil lids, camshafts etc. However, after a year 0W40 a little improved, the oil after 500 km was already raven black. Now my question, an oil flushing is harmful for the engine. i the age or in large part appropriated? As a means was recommended with Mannol Motorflush, the cans are already at home, however, I have heard some negative feedback that this would not work with turbo vehicles or would generally cause engine damage. Have you had experience with this?
