  • Air conditioning goes, can’t

    Hello, it’s about a Volvo 850 Bj.96 (97) 2,5 10v 144 HP almost 300,000km with manual air conditioning. I bought the vehicle well, let’s say in a not so good condition. With a lot of love and dedication it is now technically in a very good condition, except for the climate. The dryer and capacitor was renewed by me. Filled by a workshop with vacuum testing and filled with faith so about 720 grams. The climate cools super when it cools. It switches according to some It doesn’t seem to be near the evaporator at the vacuum switch, because I had already bridged it. Who has a piece of advice for me, how to limit the error. Can’t read out, neither with the flashbox, nor with the diagnostic device. Expansion valve was not changed, didn’t know where it was hidden.

  • V70 I, winter tyres of V70 II????

    Hello, I have a V70, class 1, so already aged, but still running. Now comes the cold season and the question of winter tyres. So far there were always 195/65 R15 all-year tyres on it. But I still have very good winter tyres from a V70 II on Alufelge. How can I find out if I can mount them and what I have to pay attention to? Thank you

  • 21 Inch to 3.0 TDI

    So, finally got me a couple of 21ers. Wanted to order tyres according to the report. There’s in front 265, back 275. Does that even work? Does still know of my 550 BMW and A8 that had to get up the same size because of the four wheel. Is this exactly the case here at the Phaeton? Would I hate to smash the distribution gearbox.   • Volvo 850R turbocharger 13G ? and improved V70 exhaust manifold …

    Hello, has had a 850R (switch) since a short time and there is probably the turbocharger defective. The car does not have a proper suit, smokes blue ( loses a lot of oil from the exhaust ) etc. The turbocharger is apparently defective, since the previous owner had not changed the upper engine bearing, thus a crack in the exhaust manifold ended and then the turbo is probably extremely overheated… I then looked which one is installed there and it is a TD04HL-13G loader. Actually were the e but only installed in the 193PS softturbos or ? ( Can it be that the previous owner had another turbocharger installed there ? ) Do I have to get a 13G again (or have the overtaken) or can I just install the “normal 850R” 16T there without having to adapt anything to the software ? And about the exhaust manifold … I have read that in the 850er you can take the improved exhaust manifold from the V70 III ? … (How does such an “improved” exhaust manifold look like r – or where do you see the difference to the old version) Big thanks in advance Michael

  • Brake discs: normal, perforated, grooved

    Hello I’m going to break my brakes. But I’m going to raetel which slices I should take. There are the “normal” slices, punched, grooved and punched with groove I’m not talking about 0815 parts here. I’m currently choosing EBC, Brembo or Black Diamond. I’ve read in some forums that there are cracks in the punched oefters because of the holes. In those with the groove (strike infrast) it’s easier to read that the cleats are covered faster and There’s rubble geraeusche in braking. Do you know more about it?

  • Volvo 850 GLT from 1992 Automatic

    Hopefully I find here help It is a Volvo 850 GLT automatic from 1992. My transmission AW 50/42 LS has given up the spirit. In trailer operation the error 323 (converter bridge slips through) is reported. After the transmission flushing nothing has changed. So I am looking for a replacement transmission.   • V-belt torn – Power steering away – V70

    Tach. When driving off at the traffic light suddenly the power steering failed. At the first moment I thought that the steering was completely rigid, so difficult to steer. After the crossing to the right drove and looked. The car didn’t complain, no message in the display or the like. I checked the level of the power steering in a reflex, but everything was normal. Briefly thought and then the thick ship trembled home, was just like that. (At some point the car then noticed, d if the battery is no longer charged, then there was a message in the display…) There was a more thorough look into the engine room, where these flashy wheels jumped into my eye, where I could have sworn that there was a belt. I found the thing then actually a bit further on the road back. Now the real question: the strap looks miserable in full length (see pictures). I assume that a cover around in this form is rather sh 8 months ago and 11tkm was the vehicle in the contract workshop for customer service. Didn’t they have to notice this? Isn’t the visual inspection of this component part part of the performance? It was an original Volvo part. (I unfortunately didn’t have a hisory about the belt, since I bought the car only last summer.) Greetings, N.

  • Kaufberatung S60 D5 215PS Built 2013

    Hello Volvo fans, unfortunately my old Volvo S60 2,4D year 2003 just after more than 300,000km or a repair in case of oil loss over the crankshaft immersing does not seem really meaningful anymore. Therefore I intend to buy a new used one and my favorite is an S60 D5 with 215 HP EZ 11/2013, stitch stitching, accident-free, just over 70,000km from a dealer with dealer warranty (not Volvo Select). Question 1: Have found here some problems with hair cracks. between cylinder heads or coolant loss at the D5. Since it happened to me with my second car SLK to catch a serial error (which was at least centrally regulated at a total cost of 6.000€…) I have become more careful and would like to ask you if there are any common problems with the D5 from this series? Question 2: I found an indication of 4.7l in the combined consumption – does this roughly correspond to the reality? Thank you for your answers!

  • Leave Phaeton for 3 weeks

    Moin moin, since I drive on 29.07.16 to the rehab with the Phaeton and I park him in Emden at the harbour the 3 weeks, I wonder if I will have after the rehab problems with the battery at the start. Some where I have read that some probably had problems with a longer service life. Is there anything to it? With my other cars there have never been any problems with it. Greeting Jürgen
