XC90 – which fuel saving measures are possible ?
Now that I have expressed myself on several occasions to the excessive consumption of fossil fuels of my thickness, but I have not received any suitable solutions for my problem, I once went into me during a snow excursion. Would it be possible to expand the cardan shaft ? This would also turn off the drive of the rear axle – and thus all moving parts – in addition to the weight saving . Do I need a SW-Update ? What would that cost ? en Efforts in relation to saving ? Please help me. Greetings Torsten

V70-III rear corrections (3 drafts)
Hello! Since there are already various pictures of the coming V70-III to see and the reactions to the new rear are usually very negative (also with me), I have made the effort to design some corrections of the rear. There are altogether 3 slightly but clearly different proposals, which change the rear part – as I find – at the important places. Overall the rear part of the new V70-III does not look so Japanese and Volvo untypical anymore, however already What do you think about the corrections, which version do you like best? Is there possibly a way to inform Volvo (or better Ford?) about it, even correcting the rear before the start of production? (I don’t believe in the latter, but Volvo should see the reaction of his (still?) fans that the V70-III was not necessarily designed optimally …) I would at least like to see it, so w he he is probably built by Volvo, not buy. Long live Volvo (V70-II) ! Robin Here is the picture 1 (picture 4 = Uncorrected)

Experience with V70 II / D5
Wetre readership, I am currently considering the purchase of a used V 70 II with the 163 hp D5 diesel. I read more frequently in used car displays of this type of replacement engines and replacement drives (also for switching drives) which gives me the impression that the carrots do not manage 100,000 km easily. For example, has Volvo left the solidity of the V70 I or am I wrong and the V 70 II is a good car? Maybe you only read out the bad and regi Is there anyone among you who (perhaps by working at Volvo) can tell me something about this? Thank you Henning

Volvo V60 PDC “Maintenance required”
Hello dear people, at the moment I have a problem with my Volvo V60 BJ 2010 D3. Namely the Park Distance Control (PDC) at the rear no longer works. At the speedometer we showed me the message “PDC maintenance required”. At the Volvo dealer, as well as with own OBD diagnostic device, tried to read out the error memory of the PDC ECU. Unfortunately without success, because this is not reachable. Is there of you who has had such a mistake already and you think that my control unit t is over or rather the power supply will be faulty? Thank you and best regards, Sebastian

US Seat belt Reminder
Hey guys, it’s funny. I got the “US warning control” from a friend from America. I changed it for the normal one on weekends. It’s funny, the lights go out after a few seconds, but the warning tone doesn’t. No matter if buckled or not. Everything works like usual with the original. Did anyone ever have such a problem?

Speedometer twitches
Hello dear Volvo municipality, I have been having a little problem with my moose for a few days now. It’s a 2.0 20V from 1992 and has the problem that if I let it roll in 5th gear at 90-100 km/h, the rev indicator starts to twitch back and forth (about in the range of 300-400 revolutions). If you let it roll like this, the control lamp flashes up and goes out again and again. I tried to read it out, but there are no errors. From the engine you don’t notice anything. It runs great and as soon as I give a little bit of gas stops the jerking up again. Quite rarely the engine jerks once briefly as if it has a ignition dropout. I don’t know if the two symptoms are connected or not and since he tells me no mistake I am honestly a bit perplexed. Does any of you have any idea what his problem might be? Rejoice me about every friendly answer MFG Lucas

Do you need help with clear glass headlights?
Moin at all the lasts I was able to buy a set of clear glass headlights. So far, so good. Then I bought new scattering discs because the old ones are quite finished. Today I then removed the old ones to mount the new ones (just fixed). I noticed that there is a gap (about 7-10mm wide) between the front part and the rear part of the reflectors. I tried to identify this in the photos. The gap is the same with both headlights. At the top a bit wider than below. Does that have to be like this ????????? of course I looked at the headlights of the Coupe. Also clear glass. There is no gap. Well, maybe 2 or 3mm. At least not like with the new headlights. Are there any differences? The front part is only flipped in. Of the three clippings one is broken on each headlight. Bad enough. The front reflectors cannot be pushed further into the back. I woll The glasses can be mounted by the way. Space is enough. Maybe someone can help me or send me a comparison photo.

Return Warner ???
Today I am with a little louder music through the city, because on my own, otherwise my kiddis always sit with me, so that I have not noticed the following evil. Why does not the radio or CD at the insertion of the reverse gear stop silently???? Even a small reduction of the volume is not really to be heard when inserting the reverse gear. At a volume reached from the half of the display, one hears the beepers of the return warning so well wi It’s amazing how you can get used to such small electronic aids. Is there any remedy? Software update or similar…except to reduce the volume?? It’s amazing how you can get used to such small electronic aids.

Hello dear Volvo municipality, I absolutely need some advice – because the topic at the moment does not leave me rest, the workshop was also baffled. Therefore I turn to you! And this is the error description: If you steer with the moose during the ride ! (curves, estuaries – no matter) then sometimes it smiles (!) (or KNARZT) The steering wheel is not fully hit, it rather occurs shortly after the steering process. To this I noticed then also the blinker behavior: If I steer while I b left then accelerates the “klack” sound as well as the indicator on the turn signal. (instead of the normal blinker klack-klack-klack then klackKlackKlackKlack) The whole thing is a bit disturbing, because the well-being of the Volvo is important to me. So – now since you said: What is that? Is that normal? Thank you! Greetings, Michael
