  • v70 I a problem

    Hello dear Volvo people Nu I have a problem where you might be able to help me further. I have already tried the search but found nothing. I was already at the Volvodealer, and I have processed the errors he has read, so I am now here again, in the hope that you can give me a tip. So to the mistake: I had the first problem about a year ago with the engine lamp for the Lama or also exhaust gas control (or however you can e) From this the following errors have lined up in the series, Lamdasonde after kat, was changed, then Lamdasonde before kat, also this probe was changed, then first quiet for three weeks, then after refueling again the error Lamdasonde before kat + throttle, then I drove to Volvodealer and read out, result : Thermosensor thermostat and air mass meter defective, then I changed everything including the throttle, yet the lamp remains n A short time on and when the engine gets warm the idle starts to fluctuate, if you want to start driving then it almost goes off but again Un catches and runs then almost normal says it has power and runs well. He now shows no error when reading out except for one that no one can explain to me until now, error 29. I despair so slowly we made one off and that was good so kat i.O. But nevertheless no posters because the lamp lights up. What can I now still do I don’t look through any more and what is this mistake 29? If anyone of you still has an idea then I would be very grateful. My Volvo is a V70i of 98 a Combi automatic SFT with 193 hp and almost 200 000 on the clock checkheft maintained.   • Again and again piston eater Kymco ZX Fever

    Servus Got a Kymco ZX Fever which had already 2 times a piston eater because the plastic gear of the oil pump was defective. So new cylinder kit ordered and the oil pump shut down that is called oil rod out and the pipes closed so that it does not draw any false air. I now drive mixture 1:40. after a short time again piston eater/clamper although I drive mixture. The funny thing is that it is always at the rear part of the piston direction exhaust time the other side and the piston rings look a My guess is that he might get too hot or? Carburetor all original with 80 HD. What could I do? Best regards

  • Cooling problem / engine damage XC70 2.4 D4 Year of construction 2014 with 214 tkm

    Hello together, after a long search for causes regarding cooling problem (engine regularly showed overheating during normal driving, high pressure in the cooling system, cooling water consumption) through my experienced house workshop with exchange of thermostat, water pump, cooler sensor, sensor compensation tank, no CO in the cooling system) without any change in the symptoms, I brought my XC70 today to the local Volvo dealer in Freiburg. This called me two hours later and opened up to me, that in the engine block the partitions between the cylinder and cooling channels around the cylinders are defective / permeable, what is irreparable and requires a new engine, the costs were estimated at five digits. The engine shows full power, does not consume oil, has been regularly maintained and is now to be replaced? How can that be? This indicates a serial design error? Is there no culpability? No possibility Volvo therefore to an M I paid for the car in 2021 at a large car dealer with 140 Tkm 17.5 TE and should now pay for a new engine? I am stunned…sour! What can I do? A used replacement engine could have the same problem? What is this XC70 worth with this damage? Who knows a advice? Who had similar problems? What is to be done?

  • V60 Axle cuff back right sifft

    Moin, Since we want to leave for Norway next week for a 5000 KM road trip, I put myself under the car today to inspect everything. I noticed the inner axle cuff at the rear right (all-wheel). On the fuel filter housing was a greasy thick liquid, as well as on the inner (so differential side) axle cuff. I was not sure if this is just dirt, but I assume quite strongly that the fat from the M After I cleaned everything up and drove 20 km I looked again, but everything remained clean. I can’t find a crack anywhere. Workshop appointment I probably can’t get any more by Thursday, certainly not with spare parts. But I still call the friendly one in the morning. I just see the holiday fall into the water. Does anyone have experience with it? And would you still drive with it? Can hardly imagine that this is 5,000 Car: 2017 V60 CC D4 AWD (5 cylinders)

  • New V70/3 D5 185hp in the round, two questions 🙂

    Hallööchen municipality, after my daily was scrapped, I could now secure a V70/3 as D5 with TF80-SC. The car ran 291tsd, now of course the pick up in 14 days. However, I have directly to the car 2 questions: 1. The steering 2. Which engine oil use To 1. The car now stood according to the seller (private) some time at the yard (but was always moved before and also long distance) where his acquaintances parked him between I noticed that when I got into the car yesterday for a test drive, when I parked, the steering around the middle position hardly provides servo support. With 100 rpm more speed the car left without problems steering and the support was there. Also during the rest of the test drive (45 minutes approx.) the servo was available. Only when shunting without more speed it was heavy again. Unfortunately I did not have any problems with the problem. m Nett still get information from the local Volvo dealer, there it was called flat rate: servo pump, wires, servo containers, steering gear etc. New, should come just 3 shines incl. installation. Does one know the problem here ? Did I buy scrap now ? Or does it bring something to start a change of hydraulic fluid here immediately ? 2. The car needs a service, this I would like to do myself since we continue a few places a self-helpwer kstatt, there I want to change the engine oil. According to Volvo or operating instructions A5/B5 is required, however, I have some schiss worth because of the lowered HTHS, which means the wear is considerably higher than with an oil which does not correspond to A5/B5.   • R171 – Steering stick lever loose – remedy ?

    With our SLK280 the TÜV has today criticized that the steering stick lever is loose / loose. We never noticed before, if you pay attention exactly to it, the cruise control and turn signal lever move up / down by up to 3mm, if you press e.g. the turn signal lever against the stop. Now the question arises to me whether the MRM is loose and may have broken something, or if only one fixing screw has loosened over the years (I think it is unlikely…). I don’t have any documentation about the area and I couldn’t find any documentation about the fast ones either, I hope here for your experience values, or just from those who were already before the same problem and could describe a short workaround. Would be nice if I could fix this myself without great part effort, because Corona also ripped a big hole in my wallet… Thank you very much in advance – and should the topic have been dealt with already ( I didn’t find anything ) of course a link to it is enough for me.   • Noise when starting with cold engine – Plop/Knack Noise

    Hello together I have to park out after cold start and backwards and then switch to D and get there shortly afterwards a “dumpy plop / crack” sound and felt coming from the rear right or yet the gearbox? After that it is no longer there – it comes only once after arrival and felt only with cold engine. I could not find anything further here in the forum. Had it tried to record as sound but that is not heard – try to record it as sound otherwise and here m Al to post. Standing my parked P does with gradients, say in front higher and backward gradients. From the yard I come with a short reverse drive. Attenuation stands on normal, but basically no matter which position this plop/knack noise is always there. If I had then driven a few hundred meters and stood e.g. at the next traffic light and then hit again it is no longer there. Does anyone know maybe this noise and could tell me what it could be?     Hello community, still a happy 2nd Christmas holiday…. Have the search function already tortured, but not found : what do the abbreviations on the control part of the ZV… : NS or MU or G….? to the story in touch points – hope you come with ?! : Omega Caravan 2.5 DT BJ `96 bought, only simple key with it – Funk verlosen( Vorheror), ZV funtioniert manual, auf Suche nach Funk in Bunkt und bei E*** fündig ge, 2 control parts with associated egg, built in…. NIX does itself !, since light retarders deactivated, ZV manually top ! What can this be ??? I am helpless !!! HELP !!!

  • New coilover suspension MTS technology ‘Street’ with Eibach springs – experiences?

    Hello everybody, I’m looking for a new suspension (suspension and springs) for my Volvo V70i and I came across a relatively new coilover suspension from MTS, which I haven’t found any posts about in this forum yet. Has anyone installed it or already had experiences with it? I found information here in a Golf 1 forum and here in another Volvo forum. Meanwhile there seems to be expert advice. Somehow I can’t imagine that Eibach It costs about 649 €, which is just as expensive as the combination of Bilstein B4 + Eibach springs (currently: 636 €), which according to the forum (contribution) is a good variant. Only that dampers and springs are probably already coordinated from the factory and you can adjust the height. Of course, this can also be done with KW, but then at almost 3 times the price.
