In search of a V70 I have not yet written off a diesel if it has at least Euro 5. On Saturday I will visit a D3 from 2011 at an attractive price. Although almost 210,000 km, but from the Volvo car dealership with new TÜV and new inspection. ZR changed at 180,000 km, service booklet completely at the same dealer. Proud mileage, however, only 7 years old. When I remember that I bought my 850 at 15 years and 200,000 km and without any problems without Panne drove 130,000 km in 9 years, however, seems to me that no problem. For example Diesel: In the new BL less fine dust excesses, therefore little driving ban potential (at least currently). And for Euro 5 one can still hope for a conversion. As an alternative, a 2.0F with gas retrofitting is to be discussed, but nothing has yet been found suitable. My question: Who has a maintenance plan of this model? I have an OBDII plug by now, will be able to use it again. Thank you.

Leave Volvo emblem on the grille!
On the weekend we noticed that the blue on the Volvo emblem on the radiator grill has completely peeled off/broken off…. How can something like this come after 3 years?? Too much salt? Scattered frozen??? Have asked for a new one at my time on culanz/guarantee/advertising will(whatever) that can not want a good company to apply for the company name SO?? But so far the offer was that I had to pay for the new logo, which then nicely “installed” it. ach Meinung asked – Does anyone else have this problem??

Fuel filter change 2.0D
Hello, today I had my fuel filter changed (V50 2.0D/62000km) (at a Bosch workshop, is closer than the next Volvo dealer). I didn’t think anything bad about it, is a simple work for the mechanics! So far no problem, until I saw that in the enclosure of the filter more precisely on the ground lay every quantity of metal chips! That’s not normal, where do they come from? The mechanics also at a loss, so first of all call the manufacturer of the overpressure pump s agt, is not normal. Volvo customer hotline says, that is normal! There is a newsletter for the dealers. Has one of you ever heard of this or seen with the chips? I am easily nervous, the possible consequential damages by such chips become really expensive!! Then the mechanic still needed about 1 hour to vent, the car wanted and did not want to jump any more aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was there from 8am to 10.30am- God for a n stupid fuel filter change!!!!!! Ohso am still after Volvo. The mechanic/master says this is normal – I don’t know!!!! Good ride and does not change the K filter!!!

Radio antenna(s) and amplifier(s): Where are they?
Dear community, after the radio reception in my V70 year 2003 became worse and worse, I wanted to make myself smart here in the forum about the above topic, but still a bit confused due to partly opposite statements. It is certain: – my V70 has an antenna in the rear left side disc – also there is a green antenna amplifier with an antenna and a power connection in the back right under the side cover in the hold. What I don’t know: – Has my V70 also in the rear bumper an antenna? (I suppose, yes.) – If he has 2 antennas, does he have 2 amplifiers, so another one for the antenna in the side window? – Should 2 antenna cables be connected to the radio with 2 existing antennas? I remember that there is only one connection there. I thank you already in advance for your answers! Greetings Marcus

Heaters?
Hello Opelaner, I’ve got a lot of noise from the heater! What can that be? And isn’t it when the ignition is off, and you press the car button, turn on the heater (use of the residual heat) and warm the interior until the water temperature drops to a certain value? The heating runs only about 30 sec. Just looked at the heater — because much of it is not connected to the connection see photo = can you help me further where it is connected to should be closed? Thank you very much

850 TDI – Turbo causes problems
For two weeks, my turbo has been having problems. At speeds above 3500 rpm, the charging pressure drops to be completely at 0 from 4000 rpm. Under 3500 rpm, everything is normal. What I noticed, the max. charging pressure at lower speeds is only 0.8 to 0.9 bar. In the past, the display was always up to 1.3 bar. I had to do this from a week of error 115 in the MSA, which probably indicates an error or problems in the charging pressure sensor. ochler, who only showed up 1x. In normal driving mode this behavior is not noticeable at all, only with strong acceleration or with kick-down one notices the pressure drop at some point. Greeting Holger

Cooler change 850 Kombi IMPORTANT!!!
Hi there, I’m just about to change the defective cooler at my wife’s 850s. Unfortunately, I’m hanging at the moment and I can’t get any further. So far, I’ve got the Venti out and everything. Now it’s up to the cooler fixing screws to the left and right. I’ve both been able to solve them a bit, but now this round nut spins with me from above. Do I have to release the screws completely or can I get the cooler out now? Is weird, since I have the same problem on both sides. Oh yes, is the normal 2.5 with 140 hp without climate and four wheel. Please help me, I still have to deal with it today. EDIT: I try it from above. With the new cooler I see that the hole through which the screw goes is very large. Can it be that the loosened screws fit thereby and I can remove the cooler downwards? Thank you very much. Thomas

RTI wants to piss me off
Hello everybody, this in advance: I like the RTI very much. Although completely overpriced, but compared to other manufacturers Volvo stuffs the bags not quite so cheeky….. On the topic: I’m just thinking about the “intelligence” of the RTI. I let myself be piloted to a friend the other day. Was basically also fine, but I had the impression that it would have to be significantly shorter. So, next time I’m at about 15 minutes and about 14km of rest driving time/way from the highway. The RTI had hardly recognized my deviation, it suggested the route via the federal road. The message spread with one blow to about 10 minutes at about 10km distance. (It also seems plausible, since I have saved a laaaange distance through an endless residential area.) What about everything in the world causes my RTI to propose me a km-by-km AND time-long longer distance, and then when I catch it while mogging, the innocent mi Men??? Greeting xc90er …who might be looking for a clarificational conversation with his RTI.
