  • Automatic gearbox jerks, oil change ?

    Hello, my friend bought a Volvo S60 D5 BJ 2002 with automatic and about 200tkm. After a week he noticed that the gearbox is jerking off at the intersection shortly before the stop. I asked my workmate this meant that the oil level in the gearbox could be low or a software update could remedy. I advised him that he should change the gear oil at this mileage times. Has anyone ever done this before? What about Do it Yourself ? How much is the oil and the oil filter or sieve? The workshop said something from 300€ -400€ including material and working time + rear brake blocks are also exchanged. she also said the 10L oil needed !!! That seemed a lot to me, is not a truck transmission. If the jerking should not disappear what else is there for sources of error? Thank you!

  • Heating has breathed out her life!

    Hello! First a happy new year! Today my (thanks to the forum’s tip, unlocked in Holland) heater with incredibly loud noises said goodbye. The heater had already for some time caused rattles and shoopers noise in operation. Oddly enough there was no error message in the on-board computer and I had to switch off the heater manually. This reacted with even louder howling and then went out after about 1 minute. Is there anyone here in the forum, the r works as a master or as a mechanic at Volvo and can give a few tips on how to set up and install the heater? I would like to take a look at it myself. Also workshop literature or details about the type of the heater would be helpful (Ardic type ??). Before now some well-intentioned advice ala “let’s rather the fingers of it”.   • V70 D5 is great, but what color?

After a test drive with the A6 V6TDI and immediately following with the V70 D5 I was positively surprised: The A6 was very hesitant with the multitronic during the gas acceptance and only then went off. The D5 was much more spontaneous and went through even better. Besides, it likes very well with the 5-cylinder sound. Contrary to the “brubble” of the V6TDI that sounds simply more dynamic. And that even quieter than in the A6, i.e. ni Also the suspension comfort and the brakes were much better with the V70. The A6 jumps over uneven ground and has a bad braking effect in wet weather. So far I was more attached to the Audi and had found the V70 only from the price-performance ratio for interesting. Now I have become a convinced Volvo fan and will order it. Only what color???   • Motos from after a short SH – do you know that too?

    Good morning, I observed a phenomenon this morning the second time: In the S80II the heater switched on too late by remote control, after 7 minutes the engine started (before SH switched off), immediately goes off again after starting. Restarted and everything is good. Had I already a year ago. Does not bother me, but is funny. Do you have that too? Nice day Andreas

  • Premium Sound Subwoofer really noticeable?

    Hello dear community I drive an XC60 D5 with premium sound and am actually very enthusiastic about the system and enjoy long rides (not only because of the system). Now I wanted to adjust the settings this morning and I noticed that there are practically no differences when adjusting the subwoofer intensity. If I’m honest, I almost have to imagine that something is changing. If I turn the bass all the way down and the subwoofer I get massive more pressure from the normal speakers (with the bass level at 20 – 30%) than from the maximum setting of the subwoofer. As I said, I’m actually satisfied with the premium sound, but wonder if that’s normal? How is it with you? Since I have a service appointment next Tuesday I wanted to pick up your opinion if I should address this or if I’m rather embarrassed Best greetings b asler

  • PCC unlock key

    Hello, just a little something… I just wanted to know if the unlock button of your PCCs, or vehicle keys – just like me – has a small, but clearly visible “booking”. Does that fit like that, or is there something broken? The function is not affected by it anyway. I’m not sure if this was so from the beginning, since the Keyless go of the PCC is only in the pocket. Thank you very much! LG, Mathias.

    Hello and good day, I’ve re-registered here as I have a question about the SL ! I can buy a SL 320 (model 1997, full equipment) which has driven say and write only 16000 (!) km. The vehicle is from 1st hand, checkbook maintained, 8 times matured, TÜV/HU new. Condition inside and outside like factory new. No scratches, no dents, nothing………, ok, tyres would have to be new due to age. The price is VB 39900 € (from private). What is yours, is the price justified ?   • Brake problem with SL 500 / R230

    Hello, yesterday at about 200 – 210 kmh an emergency braking had to lie down and the SL started to “sling” and this on dry and straight road. With a normal and also stronger braking it remains absolutely track-proof and stable. But as soon as you rise quickly and energetically on the pedal then it starts to sling again and the yellow triangular warning light in the tacho starts Is it normal with the SL, since the ABS has to switch, which one does not notice this on the brake pedal (pulse) or acoustic (ratters)?
