Hello everyone, so far I have been in the belief that the 5-cylinder volvo engine of the V70/S60 with 140/170 hp is the ideal engine for a gas conversion. My wife drives a V70 II without gas and I have thought of buying an S60, which is already converted or just one with a few kilometers, which is to be converted because I need a solid vehicle to commute and because of back problems no small cucumber with bad seats any more wants. But now my friendlic told me Volvo dealer, he always has customers with this engine in the workshop, who have problems with defective cylinder heads, one allegedly already has the third head always in the 30,000 km rhythm. Somehow I am confused now, especially since an ex-colleague of mine already drives 470,000 km on gas with a V70 I. What is true or right now? Can one make mistakes with the choice of the system? What must I pay attention to when buying? Thank you!

Volvo 850 Combi Gasoline – Pay attention to what?
Hello! We want to buy a reliable combination that does not have any unnecessary new-fashioned frills and is reliable. There the 850 is forced into the narrow selection 🙂 It is supposed to be a 5-cylinder petroler (126-170 hp). Such vehicles are rarely to be found with running speeds below 200tkm. How is this a topic for the 850? Which running performances are possible without major repairs (except of course of waste parts and with regular maintenance)? Are there any vulnerabilities? Are certain engines or equipment recommended? Thanks and greeting, aedificans

Timing belt change and oil loss
Hi together, I just changed my starter and now stand before the next repair. I have to change the timing belt. I did it once at nem ur old BMW 316i. but he also had only one camshaft. Mine has two. Now there are special tools to lock the camshafts. Is this the only special tool I need or are there others? I know that I need a water pump, 2 pulleys a tensioner and the timing belt itself e, have I forgotten something? So to the oil. I have not yet looked where it comes from exactly but I guess it’s the valve cover seal. If I open the hood and look at the engine, there are small screws ( believe there are 8 or 10). Well, there’s a screw in the oil Does anyone have an idea? If only the valve cover seal should be, it would be done with the timing belt in a wash. PS. does someone know where I get so Arretier’s work?

Today in the meanwhile at least calendar spring I got really angry about the thickness for the first time. I drove my little daughter as always to the elementary school, on the roof about 2 cm high sulty wet snow, on the passenger seat new sign block for the school and not quite unimportant documents for the office. When my daughter wanted to take her sign block from the passenger seat, a larger place of the clenched snow dissolved and fell in the middle of sign block and documents. The door cut-out is obviously so shaped that the snow had to fall first on the backrest and from there on the seat! When I then got out to save what was no longer to be saved (I now know how corrugated cardboard is made), the next snow place on the now empty driver’s seat slipped! Lack of cloth and tempo cloth – of course yesterday the last used and not yet refilled – I could only wipe away the snow water so reasonably with my hand, I know that other vehicles are also affected by pure dripping rain in the open door; on the one hand, however, this is hardly an excuse, on the other hand, the snowfall in the car was already really massive and not yet experienced by me in this form! Have you had similar experiences or am I just too stupid to open a car door? (You may also leave the latter unanswered) Greeting Frank – meanwhile dry again – No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

…and it was banging… S60
Servus together! I thought to myself on Saturday morning: Be nice to your OHL, let her sleep & drive alone (with the moose) to the week shopping… …said & (almost) done: On the short way to the supermarket I thought to myself “on stop signs you should stop”; I did so too… the girl in the KA behind me unfortunately not… So, she wanted to get the plug line, which came then also after 30min & wrote a report (the girl was allowed to pay directly what it has also earned -> nobody is allowed to go unnoticed The damage to my moose was hardly noticeable (I didn’t care about the KA). Today I was at the paint shop of my trust, after all it didn’t paint itself & why not directly to the professional! The friendly paint master noticed some things directly: gap measurements under the tail lamps on the right and left different, gap measurements of the tail aprons on the left side different from right (on the right is also the tank nozzle for LPG), “Dellen” at the push point Well, long speech, short meaning: the moose spends the night in the paint shop today, tomorrow the bumper will be taken off (the gastank will be removed) etc. etc…. Tomorrow I will have the estimate (and also the opposing insurance). I’m curious… And: I honestly thought at the Sa to just reprimand the girl & let her drive again! Fortunately (for me and the elk) the girl wanted to be the race manager. ben… Btw: Is the wiring for the PDC in the back of the moose??? Greeting weflydus

Servo line flexed?
Moin wanted to mount my Irmscher front apron today. My dad probably hit a line with the bumper carrier flexing. It ran out of reddish oil…Servoöl? The line comes out on the driver’s side once to the passenger side and back to the other side and there into the engine compartment. I think that’s servo oil? The upper one is open to 1/3, so flexed. How do I get it back tight, or does it have to be new? Thanks for tips

Clammers gear side when it’s cold, with video!
Happiness On together, now in the cold season I notice a clattering noise on the gearbox side when the Volvo is cold. I have uploaded a short film for this:http://youtu.be/v6dS5v-nS04 When he has driven warm, you can’t hear anything anymore. What can that be? Differential? Have a little bigger game when changing loads. My guess is that a bearing in the gearbox is doing the screeches, which I don’t hope. Does anyone know that? Oh, about 320,000 km he has gone. Ronny

Parts of Omega B TD
I have the possibility to buy a complete Omega B TD with cylinder head damage and wanted to know in this way who needs all the parts. I only buy the car when enough people are together that need the parts. If I don’t get the money back out, I prefer to buy a single transmission. That comes to me cheaper. So, who needs parts should send me a PN with the things he needs and if possible On weekends I look at how much has come together and if it is enough I buy the car then on weekends. But please only serious requests. I have to rely on you. Oh yes, it is a preface lift with climate, not climate automation. However, the MID, the ashtray and the driver’s door handle and of course the transmission is already gone But everything else (electric FH, ZV, ABS, tacho, body parts, engine parts, etc.) is for sale. I’ll list here what’s sold. Greetings EifelOmega
