    Good morning together, my Phaeton showed on the speedometer, error: level, error memory has been read out, 2 errors: 01049:008 (Currency close after terminal 50, low voltage) 01780:003 (Mechanical malfunction) back everything is fine, lifts and lowers easily.   • Playing in the steering gear normal or known problem??

    Moin to the technicians I’m still looking for the cause of my elevated tire wear and the occasional flapping at the VA. I have changed now the couplersStangs and the lower rear handlebars Since I have occasionally/more often still a flap when driving over a small paragraph, we went yesterday and looked again. At the same time we noticed that when the steering wheel moves quickly to the left to the right a sound to hear that wi e play between two metal parts listens and comes from the area of the steering gear and the trackStangs. I would have hoped on the axial joints , because these are not so expensive but when lifting the Fzg on one side this noise is clearly heard on both sides and also to feel at the trackStangs It is not the trackStang heads that are fixed. In order to be able to explicitly exclude the axial joints, one would have had to take the Manchettes off,that I did not want yesterday evening I don’t think it’s normal, but maybe only I see it that way. My friend means the sound comes from the steering gear. I’m going to drive to a friend today.The confessing Phaeton is a fetishist and sings the praises for this automobile to the night rest to heaven. His P is supposed to be absolutely fault-free and I’ll see if he has this game on the steering wheel too. Error reading showed that it is not right with the brake circuits plus the typical sensor error in the rear. I go out strongly from the soldering points. Should be expanded on site, because I have no second one. The companies I wrote to want to get it sent and didn’t even respond to my error presentation. They wanted to test themselves. OK.   • New car battery for Volvo V70 II? Which one is recommended?

    Moin @all, an intensive search via SuFu did not yield anything useful, therefore here as a new thread…. With my V70 II, 2.4 T MJ 2003, the battery probably made the grapple. Through a cheerful secondary consumer, which I now still have to identify, it was constantly discharged deep and must now probably be renewed before the winter. Serially the battery has probably around the 70 AH. Now I play with the idea to pack in a battery around the 95 AH. l Sinn, do I have to pay attention (except for the outside dimensions) ?     After just 2,000km I get the display “Ladestand Battery low”. What’s going on there? Too much music in the stand heard? Now I drove about 500km of highway in the last days and thought the battery should now be fully charged again. To my surprise the display “Ladestand Battery low” came back. What’s going on?   • External temperature display and failure climate

    Moin together, Be yesterday my outside temperature is displayed wrong and the climate is no longer running. Funny is, after the start the outside temperature seems to be displayed correctly, but then runs backwards to -40 degrees. Model is the D5, 185hp, MY 2008. Anyone an idea?

  • missing performance with my Volvo 850 R Kombi

    Hello, I have the following problem and don’t know any more. With my Volvo 850 R Kombi I feel like I’m missing power. It’s more like a 150hp car instead of a 250hp car. I’ve read through the internet and found several posts but it wasn’t the right thing to do. I’ve been watching what the turbocharger display does today and no matter how much gas or in which gear I’m in, it never goes more than 3 maximum 4mm into the white area. I’ve never had before a Volvo Turbo to compare but I would think that this is too little. What can it be that the turbo “does not start”? Does it not get air or does not open a valve? I have zero idea where to start looking. He also has following Macke that if you push the clutch to switch, it goes up in the tours first and then they fall first. So like if you still give a bit of gas when the clutch is pressed. Does that have something to do with the same problem? to do? Perhaps a minor phenomenon? I am grateful for any help! VG Claude

  • Mercedes W123 as everyday and only car – Can you do it or wishful thinking?

    Hello to all W123 experts. I am looking for a new everyday car, forced, because my W202, due to several defects, whose repair does not pay off financially, will soon be shut down. The vehicle should be robust, reliable and (regular maintenance provided) durable (20 – 30 years), with manageable costs and easy maintenance. It would be ideal if the vehicle is already completely protected against rust (e.g. by “flooding” with MIKE Sander Since I like particularly “classic” Mercedes models, especially the W123, possibly also W124 and W201, I would like to know if the “rust problem” with the W123 can be managed somehow, so that I can possibly buy such a car without a bad conscience? I drive about 10km to the workplace (there I have a garage parking space), otherwise 10-20km to the city, rarely longer distances (up to 400km Gesa) At home, the vehicle would be standing outside, as I don’t own a garage or the like. I had visited a W123 once, which was treated with corrosion protection by Mike Sander until the stop, practically everywhere it could be “dangerous”. It looked like new and probably keeps “eternal”. But I have never seen such a car offered for sale … . I look forward to helpful answers!
