Hi guys, I recently bought a used Volvo V50 D2 and I am actually very satisfied with the vehicle, low consumption and super pleasant driving feeling, everything is pure. But now the following has happened 3 times when starting: The information sign lights up, at the same time with the DSTC sign and the message “DSTC temporarily not available”. If I drive two meters, all lamps go off and then the rest of the journey no longer go on. In the on-board computer then also The problem did not always occur at every start, but irregularly. I have already checked in the application manual and read there that this message says that the DSTC is switched off because of too high brake temperature. However, this cannot be true with me, since the warning lights have been applied after a service life of 12 hours. I am now of course worried that there is something defective and I either have to plug in some real coal again, Or what’s worse is that the DSTC fails at the worst moment and I end up in the ditch. I understandably have little desire for both of them. Now I’ve been looking for this mistake on the Internet and found something similar, but never with the addition that they go out after two meters again. Does any of you have any idea what that could be or has had such a problem yourself? Greetings

Exhaust gas workshop
Hello on Friday I bought a Pheaton V6 Diesel BJ 2007 96000km. I got the car from HH everything was top when I refueled after about 150km and so made 30 min break I drove again with a wide grinning further home towards Kassel After about 10 km then the terrifying beep beep and the error ^Abgas workshop^ I then carefully drove to home. Next day I drove to a free workshop and let the error read. There was somehow dDross I couldn’t read exactly as the car master had already deleted the error. I drove away after that. About 10 km the error came again. Can someone help me and give me types what is defective. Thanks in advance. LG Kadir

Climate disaster: ACC does not cool
Hello Moose friends, when I got into my heated car after work today (jaaa, finally sun again! ) and switched on the climate automatic, nothing happened , i.e. the air does not cool. Otherwise the speed always slows down at short notice and when driving you notice that a few elks are missing, but also there I noticed nothing. However, I still had the impression that when the climate was switched on you heard a “noise” from the engine compartment. The regulation of the fan works but (automatic control) My car is now 5.5 years old, has run 150,000km, until last autumn the climate went still. Can it be that the refrigerant is out, the climate compressor is therefore not under load and therefore you do not notice the typical climate symptoms (short-term deceleration of the speed, power loss)? Thanks in advance for Tips, Eric

XC90 with defects
Day People I know your forum for some time and have decided to join me. My first Volvo was a V70 diesel, which drove from 1999 , 4 years and 90000 km without big problems. My second was an XC90 T6 with some flaws: wheel bearings, brakes, gearboxes and rear spring legs(73000 km 1/03-7/08). My new Volvo( 2 weeks old) XC90 V8 Summum with trailer coupling, Navi, rear wheel chamber and auxiliary heating. Now starts the trouble. Fridays picked up, Mondays in the workshop. Hecks The rear flap does not close cleanly, rear window is inserted backwards, slight fronting of the fender on the top right, trim strip on the back right offset(5mm), right rear light is 5mm higher than left, the test week of the tyres is three times the same, only on the back right one week older, when a curb edge is slightly crossed (by parking) a spring leg has jumped out of the plate and now still the hammer: has any of you had similar experiences? I would be very grateful for an answer. Greeting AME Shovel

Volvo gear oil change/spin
Hello, I have read (and hear more about it) recently that the transmission oil of an automatic transmission should be replaced, or that the transmission should also be flushed. Now I am about to exceed the 180 000 km. But because I have no experience with automatic transmissions up to now, I am afraid to be pulled over the table, to let the wrong oil swab me up, to just park the car at the first Volvo workshop, and then afterwards to get a It would be good if someone could give me an approximate guide value… which oil would be the most suitable, and if such a flushing is necessary at all. I also wonder if the Volvo locks are the most competent for this, or if a free workshop would be enough??? (As you know, the Volvo workshops are not cheap) After all, the car is almost 6 years old.
