Hello, I tried, among other things, to change the ABS ECU with a friend’s Volvo V70 (Bj 99) today. Since it always causes problems with higher temperaturs and I suspect that it has a defective soldering point, I had bought another used one via classified ads. So I solved the 4 E5 screws of the ECU, pulled the ECU down a little bit (was quite difficult because after 20 years the first time solved, I think), just to then determine The old control unit inside has 3 “records” more than the replacement unit, so action was canceled and bolted back again. I tried to solve the plug, but this was so difficult that I left it then, so it was never really removed. When starting the engine and the first meters I noticed that 1. The speedometer fails (including mileage, the total mileage is displayed nciht!) 2. The ABS symbol lights up 3. The red exclamation mark En lights up (second or third lamp from right, I think) 4. The service lamp lights up I’m surprised how can this all hang together? Is the ABS ECU connected to the instrument cluster that it can make such mistakes? I would be glad to help

Hydraulic pump AWD
Hello! I had a removable trailer coupling installed on my XC70 D5 Bj 2006 (6-speed GT) at Volvo. When connecting the fully stocked 13-pole plug of the trailer, the hydraulic pump of the locking differential starts. Sometimes it also starts later. Even after shutting off the engine (default, key removed) the pump runs clearly audible and stops working even after more than 2 hours. My impression is that the pump does not work when the engine is running. Does anyone know this phenomenon or can it be explained? How can it be that the Haldex unit is supplied with electricity in this way? It is controlled by the control units of the ABS or DSTC!? Does it hurt the pump if it runs permanently (apart from the fact that it sucks the battery)? Would you be grateful for your ideas or tips.

Order XC 90 D5 MY14
Hello together, I’m about to order a Volvo XC90 D5 PRO EDITION at the moment. The following configuration: Polar Weiß Thalia 18″ multimedia package with premium sound and RSE BLIS tinted discs stand-up heating electric. Child safety passenger back forward Now I have some questions for you of course. But it should not be a purchase consultation 😉 I had an XC90 D5/GT/Summum myself from 10.2008-10.2010, but it was built in 2005 and with 163hp. During the test drive with a new XC 90 I have found that so far everything has remained with the “old”. Which does not mean that it is bad because of that. So now to my questions. 1. Is the speed-dependent power steering worth it? 2. How high or low is the consumption? I have not found anything accurate so far. I drive 22 km to work 10% city 50% highway and 40% highway (80-120 km/h as regulation ;-)) And of course I also drive a few km on the highway then are mostly routes with 600 km at a distance but only All 6-8 weeks. 3. Is there anything else that might make sense at the conference? Thank you for your answers.

What’s your “magic limit” on mileage?
The old Volvos keep “eternal” – you can hear that again and again. But honestly… Where is your pers. “border” at the mileage. Yes, I know, this is not primarily important, but even with a good condition and good history you have from one best. Kilometer level a strange gut feeling – no matter what price – or is it just me? Tank flap cannot be opened by remote unlocking
?Moin to the country, I have the following problem: The tank flap can no longer be opened by remote unlocking at the driver’s door. I have already renewed the “pin” in the tank flap, since the old “pin” was already glued. Unfortunately this did not help. Does one of you have an idea like the problem to solve? At some point I will have to fill up again.

Luggage compartment does not open
Hello at my Phaeton the trunk lid no longer opens. In the workshop a new lock was installed but it probably wasn’t. Now it only opens with the key.

Fuel pump relays and also does not bridge any pressure
Moin Together, the groschengrab brings me still into thatelbige. Hardly a bug is fixed, ABS ECU, comes the next. It no longer jumps, or starts only briefly and goes out again. I have already found the supposed error source through the SuFu. There is also nothing buzzing when the ignition is switched on (fuel pump). However, even after bridges of 15 and 87 none. I then equipped the connections 31a and 31b with the voltmeter and started the ignition. 48mV ka nn is not quite right, right? Where do I have a copper worm in it now, or a mistake in my mind? Can the fuel pump relay be tested in which one gives on 31a and 31b 12volt (plus which one?) and then checks if 15 to 87 is switched through? I can read schematics in a limited way. From plug 4/8 pin 27 goes to relay 2/23. It seems to come out of the engine control. I stand again wonderfully on the hose greetings, Maddin

Will your omega be “correctly warm” at these outside temperatures?
Hello, the temperatures are currently very low in Germany, so I am all the more interested in the fact that the Omega heats up (drive an Omega-B EZ 9/95 special model “Reflection” with automatic climate control), but not so warm that you can take off the jacket, for example. The automatic climate control was maintained at the FOH in the summer, and the cooling capacity in the Omega-B is certainly not “eye height” compared to the facelift or the Vectra-C, but rather a little weaker, but the current heating power is very low. I am very surprised – even though the temperatures are now much below zero degrees. When I drove my wife’s Corsa-B (EZ 9/96) without air conditioning, he has heated so much that I meant it would be a sauna, my omega currently can’t get to the heating power. Is there possibly a defect on my omega, or how are your experiences up to now? Thank you JD

Replace clutch or complete gearbox
The clutch of my 20-year-old Omegas seems to give up the spirit soon. Well, I’m not quite sure because especially at temperatures of -6° the gears are very difficult to insert. Even in neutral position, the formwork lever is difficult to move. That points to the gearbox. Now I’m not sure if only the clutch or the whole gearbox should be changed. With my 2.4i I already had the clutch changed. could you change the gearbox and the clutch yourself if you don’t have any experience with it yet? Does the gearbox of a 91er fit in my 88er c20ne?

Why is Volvo building a Murk like that?
Hello guys, the collar is bursting at my S60! The vehicle is not yet 3 years old and has 40.000km down and I fear that the durability time of the vehicle has expired! From Premium you can’t talk now if you see what has been broken by now! -left and right window lifter engine defective -cracking of the driver’s seat only after months and 7 workshop visits eliminated -3x Replay of the telephone software -diverse noises in the Interior that were only gone after tens of workshop visits, if at all -defected door opener back left -right xenon headlight leaks and defective – NO CULANCE from Volvo -spoil pump for windscreen washing system defective – NO CULANCE from Volvo -wheel length front left defective after 40,000km – 70% CULANCE -timer ticks around – magnetic switch over – probably NO CULANCE What else to say about this??????Fur earlier AUDI, they had super vehicles, but had a MIESEN service! VOLVO lagged N has a great service, but the vehicles are……! If that goes on, I guess I’ll change!
