Hello.. times a short question about the timing belt tension between the camshaft wheels at the V8. Had looked out of curiosity and had to notice with horror that after a service life over a night, the timing belt is quite loose and down it is tight so as it should be. Above it is very loose… After letting on the engine the strap is everywhere just not straight after longer service life! Is there possibly the hydraulic tensioner defective? The tension cannot hold correctly and the camshaft wheels are slightly twisted by the valve springs and the flap condition is created between the NWR? PS.. If after the service life, if the belt is loose between the NWR without having started the engine at the central screw crankshaft by hand 2 revolutions make that the voltage is again the same everywhere, it will then be preserved even after days. https://youtu.be/VGwmYYxPbyg Greeting Alex

Data exchange CAN buses (from and to RNS810 / ZAB)
Hello together, after there is always interest in data exchange in the CAN buses of our Phaetons, I opened a thread in which one could bundle knowledge about the exchange between infotainment system (RNS810 and ZAB) and relevant ECUs. Have linked a few threads in which diligent forum participants have already shared knowledge in this regard:A half-newer introduces itselfCAN = Controller – Area – NetworkRaspberryPI in the Phaeton install Greetings, Mar cel

Brake fluid level
Dear Volvisti! I just noticed that the brake fluid level is far above maximum. Above there is hardly any air. Is this a hint that the brake pulls water somewhere. The last change was made 2 years ago. Is it done with a brake fluid change? What have you got for tips?

Reputable salesman??
https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/…/1356128378-216-2135 I already had this Volvo “as good as bought” (by phone and mail). Yesterday I was sent a “purchase contract” which was strange at first (and second glance). handwritten, no official document important information was missing (specify previous owners, number of keys, damage, confirmation of vehicle and money transfer etc) Then I suggested to use a purchase contract from the ADAC. z download. OHA – wrong answer! No, this would not happen in any case, it would only apply TO THE sales contract. Then the trade does not come about… Oh yes, and the purchase price is also to be paid BEFORE in FULL amount, even if I come from HH and he is in Duisburg. First transfer or in cash at pickup, then output of the car… What should you think about it now? Quite apart from the fact that in the conversation still a few defects have appeared, which are not in the advertisement e But you can still live with it if you know it and are ready (and have the opportunity) to fix it. ABS lamp lights – control unit ok
Hello, I have a problem with my Volvo. The ABS and TRACS lamps light up permanently. We soldered and tested the control unit. All 4 sensors are now new. At the last read out (after installation of the control unit) it shows the error sensor at the front left and back right. At the back right it was possible to delete, but not at the front left. Just changed the sensor at the front (the old one had the same resistance values), but the lamps are always on. djemand can help me. V 70 Axle cuffs cannot be used
When I called to ask about the situation, I was told that the cuffs were not changed because the drive shaft was not to be removed. HÄ? Can someone tell me what that could be? The workshop worked with puller, welding torch to make the warm…. Everything without success. I have read that probably the shaft is glued in at the 850er, this is also the F at the V 70. all? If it was made hot then the glue would have had to dissolve if it existed so far so that the wave could get out. Or am I wrong? Car is disassembled in the workshop and they don’t know any further without destroying it. Can someone help me or do I have to go to the dealer? MfG Kay

Do you want me to do it or leave it (complete painting)?
Good day on the part of everyone, have been plagued for some time, I am driven by doubts and uncertainty has driven me into the limbs…. I intend to have my vehicle (MJ98, 380000km, diesel) completely painted. Cost point with complete stripping (of the car), painting at the top as well as below should be 1600 – 1800€.Inclusive invoice and warranty. Now the cabinet wall rusts at all places a bit (swinger, tailgate, fender behind, bonnet a little bit ), the paint has burst off (scaffolder v+h) and the previous owner parked the box under an oak (roofing over the roof). Now in autumn I decided to let it be done, because I intend to move the car for a good 10 years…I also remodeled the interior and kept the car well maintained and technically in shot. And the best thing: my wife is playing along! Now the date of the painting is getting closer and closer and slowly MIR comes to doubt the act. ion! I was able to convince the woman and I’m afraid?!? there’s something wrong….180€ are a lot of wood for such an old diesel hurling, which is not allowed to drive anywhere anymore. tell me your opinion: – should I ? – or not? Best regards Daniel

V70 engine goes off
Hello together, 2 days ago my V70 T5 engine went out during the ride. I drove at 100km/h on the highway, when the engine started to jerk and within about 10s outside. After that the engine started, but went out directly again. After about 30min the engine ran again (very rough and no power) and I could drive to the next highway parking lot. Incidentally, a Volvo driver came by with a diagnostic device, but that could not be Verbi After about 30 minutes, the engine ran back to normal and I could drive home 20km without any problems. The engine was idle for about 15min and I disconnected the battery connection to clear the fault memory. Does anyone have any idea what that might be? I’ve had the car for 1-2 months and had no problems at all. I drove about 1000km with it. LG Karim

disc wiper no longer wipes volvo 850
Hello! I have a Volvo 850 and a problem with my left (front) windscreen wiper. After about 3/4 of the wiper distance the wiper no longer touches the disc. It looks like the axis of the wiper arm has changed. However, I have not yet figured out how to correct the arm. Does anyone have an idea? Thank you, Markus

Antara – Questions Long distance and family
Hello together, I’m just looking for a new business car, I’m a frequent driver and family father. After an E-Class, which I loved, I’ve looked around and find the Antara interesting (among many other things), just a little ‘small’.For that would be cheaper. Would be the Touareg, M-Class fan, but by a share of the rate and a CO2-bonnus/Malus regulation could be a proper payment due. Would it pack quite full (2.0Diesel, Auomatik, C osmo, etc), at the price. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to test it yet, that’s still up to it. What am I asking myself: How wide is the rear seat, or the place ‘on elbow height’, or have 3 adults or 3 child seats or 2 child seats and 1 adult place? How loud is it? Can one still make reasonable phone calls at 160 on the highway? What about the long-distance suitability? Tired distances of about 400 or more km easy, or is it halfway through the seat position relaxing?
