  • Question about front light/day running light/position lamps

Dear experts, I noticed yesterday that when I switch from daytime running light to floor light, the LEDs in the bumper will be less light. Otherwise nothing will light up, when the dipped light is shining, the LEDs and Xenon will light up. Are the LEDs used as floor light (just weaker) and/or should something light up? Besides, the orange position lights in the headlights don’t light up with us. Neither left nor right. With other new XC60, these lights are very good. broken (ex works) or is it no longer available since the latest? Our XC is now 2 weeks old. I wrote to the friendly, but would be grateful for preliminary information. LG from Vienna

  • Vehicle/price review requested

Hello to the round, I came across this V70 by chance while browsing and would like to know what you think about it. Unfortunately, I hardly know about Volvo and would need an assessment. Does the engine fit itself and is the gas tight? Is this a Volvo machine or is it a Ford engine? How stable is the electrics/electronics with a 10 year old?

  • A fat guy

End of a good time… So, after 4 years I left my P yesterday and already suffer today. We needed a combo because of still small Labrador/Sweeperdog puppies and my P would be on Feb 2020 with Tüv, warranty extension (2tsd) and at 114tsd possibly the injectors in 6 months. So now Frauchen has a Golf Variant for the animal. And I drive 1-6 months Beetle Cab, then it goes away at the latest. Was a great time and I now look for a successor with luxury for little money. in GP4 was not available here in the north. I would also like to have the full guarantee again, as I used it every year. I thank all passengers for great contributions here and I continue reading, maybe I find a good GP4 from the dealer. Currently the Q5 Tfsi 55 e is offered by the company for 300,- gross without ANZ at 10tsd. If times for 18months a trip to the hybrid camp. Ciao together

  • Dying Phaeton – could the air suspension be replaced by a classic ?

Good evening, For 12 years I have been driving a Phaethon (12/2004, 260,000km), on which I very much hang. As the air suspension seems to be completely over now, I wanted to know if it might be possible, in your opinion, to replace it with a traditional suspension. A well-known repairer did this once successfully with a Range Rover. The following happened: After problems had occurred during the air suspension, my independent workshop tried the car. repair with used parts (such as sensors or suspension). Unfortunately, it has become worse within a short time, so that the car is now extremely high and wobbly when driving. According to the Swiss Volkswagen dealer AMAG, there is now probably a combination of mechanical problems (various defective parts in the wheel suspension) and probably also an electronic/electric problem, which makes the air pumps work badly. A repair w I thank you in advance for all the advice. With best regards, Frank D.

  • Alternator from Delco, warehouse makes noises

At the moment the worm is really in it. In the last few days Omi went out constantly. First reading of the error code: missing speed signal and air quantity meter. Then he deleted the errors, I drove a few minutes through the area until the error appeared again and according to the error code it was the air quantity meter which the FH got me then quite “price value” via the accessory trade. After I changed the part at first showed no improvement. So again to the dealer . He read out again and then the idle speed which according to his statement was very low (700 rpm) was now set to 900 rpm. He said that possibly also one of the speed sensors is defective and in this case he recommended the change of cam and crankshaft sensor. However, this is only necessary if the error should occur again… So, for example, I noticed that the LiMa (Delco is on it) does something that it should not do: it gives rhy I guess that the front ball bearing (on the belt disc) will soon signal its life cycle to end. Now I have already read here in the forum and think that I have already prepared a used Bosch LiMa and had the following offer in the bay in mind: Article number: 160543452327 (http://www.ebay.de/…/160543452327?…). Originally I had thought to change the ball bearings of the Delco. But at the price of the mentioned Ang ebots seems to me that uneconomic. Provided the LiMa fits for my mom. What are your opinions/knowledge/proposals? Thanks already in advance.

  • From 16″ to 15″ wheels/Caravan 2,2/144 hp

When I bought the car 1 1/2 years ago he had Alufelgen 7″x16″ with 225/55 R 16 tires. It was always already when starting up and narrow ranking problems, with normal gas giving he cuckolded himself when starting up and when shunting he shook himself and one had to be careful not to strangle him. No error message and no help with the FOH. Now I have 15″ tire on it and see there, problem done,Sprit consumption in the pronounced short traffic 1/2 l less, far better acceleration I don’t think the 2,2l/144 Ps is suitable for the 16″/225/55 with manual transmission. The only problem in the basement I have now 4 seven spokes Original GM/ Intra Alu rims, without any curb scratchers with almost new Uniroyal Rain Sport 2, 225/55 R 16 95 V. If someone is interested, he can contact me otherwise, I will be in the bay etc. . they may offer, or leave them in the basement greetings Dieter

  • Roof box Carline Design

Hello Volvisti, there’s my new used V70R tomorrow and I’m thinking of planting a suitable roof box on it. If there’s a lot of luggage in it. In Scandinavia I’ve seen a box that’s very flat and spreads over the entire roof width, it’s herehttp://vccs.volvocars.se/…/VCC-249322.htm Does anyone know where to buy it here in Germany? I thank you for Axel

  • XC 90 2,5 t winter tyres

Hello Volvo municipality, I think about buying a good used XC 90 2.5 t. That would then be an all-wheeled car. My question is, do I need there in our widths (Düsseldorf), actually winter tires or is that so with the bit of snow? If winter tires, then on extra rim? Are there any such large steel rims? What do you do there? I am now of course riding on the S40 winter tires, but is also not an all-wheeled. The new would be used by Private 1.Hand and would have 30000 km down. I think this is a reliable car. Thank you very much for your tips and information.

  • New purchase/new leasing XC 90

Good evening together, I’m currently driving my third V70 (currently 2.4D Edition Sport, EZ 2007, Geartronic, Heico pushes a little bit and tries to turn the horsepower wandering around in the Geartronic into a tunnel…) and have been mentally walking with a new XC90 “pregnant”.. A “real” Volvo will probably not give any more and it has just sooo much space… Now the question: What is the right time to become concrete? Wait for the new price list 04/2010 to look whether there are more sugars besides the edition version? Better leasing or purchase (by myself), because the value of a 3-year-old XC90 seems to be about 0….? Is someone about to buy an XC 90 from you? What are “usual” conditions at present? Please listen to me. Greetings from Bayern MG
