Hello municipality I have now converted to Opel again and have to buy an Omega B. Only I don’t know which engine to consider, in any case this will run with LPG. I think more of the 2.5 V6. What do you think of the engine in terms of robustness? Does this have a control chain or belt? How does it look with insurance? Is it higher rated like the 16V? MV6 is also something fancy but you see so many engine damages to sell at Mobile and co, d As deterred. Insurance won’t be affordable either. Thanks for your tips

my Navi doesn’t speak German
Hello! I’m new to the forum and this is my first post. After I found a lot of interesting things, I couldn’t solve my problem yet. I lived in the USA for 5 years and bought an XC90 there in 2005. This one went back with me to Europe after my stay abroad in Michigan had ended. The car has a full equipment and also the Navi with RTI DVD. I still had the US version in my DVD shaft and now I have an actual the Volvo “Road and Traffic EUROPE”. Navteq Mpas, VCC Part No. 31326246, 1122 Disk C, Part. No. T1000-18139. The DVD could be read by my Navi. A yellow bar appeared the first time and lasted about 3 min. – then the Navi recognized my position and I can search, enter and navigate targets. Unfortunately, I don’t get any language commands. I can probably set the sounds of the Navi in the menue (you can also listen to the voice in English with LAUTER, LEISER etc.), abe I asked the Volvo Haendler, he wants to sell me a new DVD player…. That’s certainly only a firmware thing. After I can only choose English (US) and Spanish, I think that the US firmware is still on it. I don’t need a German voice output – I’m also satisfied with English. But if the Navi doesn’t talk to me at all, it gets boring. Who can help me? I certainly don’t want a new Navi or DVD Gera et kaufen. Thank you very much for the support.

S60 R
Hello together I wanted to know if the S60 R has any typical flaws? Generally, the S60 flaws would be interesting. I once heard that the transmission should be a weak point on the R. Is that so? Does the vehicle have timing belts or control chain? If timing belts, what is the interval?

S60 Run Flat
Hello Elchgemeinde, Since I am currently informing myself about the installation of a gas system in my S60 is the question of the spare wheel in the air. Furthermore, I need new winter bikes for the cold season. So I got some information about Run Flat tyres, size 205x55x16.Prices are about 20 -30 euros above the normal version. According to my local tyre dealer, I would need a release of Volvo, ABE ?, as well as an air pressure control system. I have not yet asked a question about Volvo Germany. Has anyone gained experience with such a tire? With the SuFu I found only contributions from the years 2007. The development of the tire industry has not stopped… Greetings degeoelch

Ominous noise at V70 when driving through holes
Hello dear friends! Last year I asked you which moose you could take, etc. well, at the end of December it became the V70 D5 (BJ 2004) as well. Actually he was a brave little animal so far and did not make a theater. At the moment the tank flap unfortunately does not hold, is somehow completely loose and does not close *shoulder zuck*. But soooo bad I don’t find that, if I close the flap with patch at some point, then it really looks shy ** from … but until then I don’t bother. More uneasiness is caused by the sound of the LANGSAMEN running through e.g. floor waves, or on such a kind of dirt road. There it hits sometimes front, sometimes back, sometimes louder times quieter … everything funny. I can’t describe it more precisely, I have no idea. At the weekend there was also a noise during the VERY FLOTTEN driving through curves – like a grinding. So slowly I get scared. Does anyone know that? Tomorrow he goes to the factory sta tt, but I’d be a little bit more comfortable (or not) if I could locate the thing a little better and better estimate the possible danger. He’s got 91,000 on the clock now and was a brave guy so far. We want to do a longer AB ride on the weekend and there it goes to the thing and you don’t want to do that with a car where you’re afraid it’s going to fly apart (which I just rule out at Volvo).

Power drop at 2.4T 2003
Power drop at 2.4T Last autumn I noticed for the first time that our 2.4T performance was not constant. The thrust “sucked” off again and again, especially with more pressure on the accelerator pedal/acceleration processes. The friendly said that because of a hole in the exhaust system the engine would pull false air. Then the hole was patched, error codes read out and reset made. In short it was good then it started again. So I bought a new blowout. f for EUR 480. Now it’s worse than ever before. What to do?

Exchange evaporators and water coolers
Hello together, after I was helped so well here the last time, I have the next questions again I have to exchange the water cooker, because the old is already slightly leaking. Are there perhaps any special features/problems to expect – or is this jerky done? Then I will exchange the evaporator because the AC is leaking. I found a description and as a “problem” only turned out the type of the climate oil. I can of course at the best n Will not realize from which manufacturer the AC compressor is. I ask myself therefore, must the OEL PAG100 or PAG 46 come in – does this really matter so much? Thank you already for your hints! Greet Frank

SC 801 – Leave in or change?
Hoi, in my 850R a SC 801 slumbers. Unfortunately, the good piece on the buttons is already bitten. The changer in the back of the trunk is also not the yellow one from the egg. The question would be if I could create a slightly better, rounder sound with the original speakers with a more up-to-date radio with equalizer and measurement option, just like in my other cars. Only: The LS are certainly attached to a difference. rker. Is there for the amplifier connector from Volvo Adapter to normal Cinch plugs? If yes I would really think strongly in the direction… if no will probably n Yatour or something similar (there are clever complete solutions with Bluetooth for free speech? ) Greeting, Jack

Difference 3000 and 3000 24v
As the title suggests, I would like to ask the differences between the Omega 3000 and the 3000 24V here. I mean the differences that are not obvious. e.g. the brakes are the same as the difference between the drive train (gear/diff/back axle) If the car series is the same, the engine bearings, etc. actually everything you have to pay attention to to make a 3000 24v out of a normal 3000. As far as the car. Then the question about the papers. in the papers, that it is a 24v? Or is there only the higher engine power from which you have to deduce it. Just as on the outside of the car, there is an extra lettering on the 24v, so that you can see immediately with which model you have to deal with. Is there a 3000 24v with bj. 87 at all? And last but not least, what about an H registration, if you have made a 3000 24v from a 3000? After all, with a bj.87 it would be already in 5 years.

Oil loss at V50 2.4
Hello forum, I discovered a few drops of oil on our parking space a few days ago. Starting in the workshop, engine cleaned, warm driven, underlooked. Then it was said: Probably the bonding of the oil pan is defective. Could also be the Simmerring, but probably the oil pan. Oil pan for € 250,- re-glue, drive home, the next day new oil drops under the car. Back in the workshop, now it was called “yes then it is the KW Simmerring”. The mechanic smelled at the stage. “Hopefully it’s not a transmission oil, it’s just engine oil, otherwise it’s expensive. But transmission oil smells different.” Now I have an appointment on Friday where the Simmerring is exchanged. For € 550,-. A scum who thinks bad things about it, but I’m afraid now, of course, that I have new oil drops under the car again on Saturday, and that it then says “then it was gear oil”. My question: Can it be that in the workshop before a repair not exactly fixed This can be damn expensive in the long run… For me, of course – the workshop is happy! What would you do? Thank you for every tip, greetings, Magub
