  • New entrants have a question

Hello to everyone 😉 I am interested in Saab and wanted to ask which model you would recommend? It should not be a combo and comfortable, sportiness is not important 😉 And very important: It should be reliable, as I need it professionally as well. Don’t have a lot of idea about Saabs, but you can certainly help me a little bit? 🙂 Thanks in advance for all the answers 😉

  • Fiat 75 i.e. tension the gas train

Hello, I have the problem more often that my Uno 75 i.e. year 1991 does not get any fuel when starting or sometimes in between. The gas train seems very loose to me, the accelerator pedal also feels spongy. At the hook-shaped part, where the gas train ends, or with a splint in an eyelet, I find however no second eye to mount the train further behind, and thus to tense. Can anyone help me? Thanks and greetings to all Uno fans Gabriela

  • Fiat Uno in the stand turns the cooling indicator up

When driving, I noticed that the cooling indicator (city trip) was unusually high (at 90 degrees). While driving, it was noticeable that the indicator went back again and only slowly but steadily climbed up again in the standing position. So stopped – cooling water tested – was missing, tilted after and continued driving. But at the stationary gas the indicator climbed up again. What can that be? lg Phil

  • OBD/OBD2 HUD retrofitting – Policy issues

Dear friends, I am tired of looking for the egg-legging woolen milk sow among the cars and equip myself with the features that I lack myself. Rearview camera, PDC, middle armrest etc. It is important to me to have a consumption indicator (current consumption and average consumption) in the car. That just wants to have my hypermiler subconscious. So I came across so-called OBD/2 HUDs. At Amazon, AliExpress and co. there are many that are offered. As far as I understand, the qua i live read-out tools, which I plug into the OBD plug, place me somewhere on the dashboard and can sort of select through the ads. The manufacturers praise that everything from A to Z can be read out: speed speed speed consumption etc. Question #1 I understand the concept so correctly? Further in the text. Now I ask myself if you have to pay attention to compatibilitys. I immediately remember the name OBD or OBD2. Is this all the same? Q #2 Can EVERY car (let’s say from BJ2000) display the consumption via such an OBD2 HUD? Must a special sensor or a preparation be installed for this? I’m just worried that I’m getting such a HUD and then my car is not even able to spit out such information. The said cars would be in the range Hyundai i30cw 2009 KIA Sportage JE 2008 Chevrolet Rezzo 2008 Dear Thanks in advance

  • my new butt 😉

I present, my finally finished stern.. the Mohr has been directed again. This can be seen a few pages further:http://www.maxrev.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12744#12744 I hope it likes. Such a straight butt had to come easy But I still have problems with the TÜV. The Leutz really want an e-tested license plate lighting. And I don’t even have 1cm depth in the recess. Let’s see if the Hella version will bring it…

  • Spray underbody with oil ?

My 92er 190E has slight corrosion at the edges of welded parts of the underbody. Is it recommended to spray the underbody with oil. If someone has good years of experience with it, let him report about it and call an oil recommendation. As far as I know, one has always sprayed with oil. Until then with a lot of advertising the inhospitable Teroson and similar means were pressed into the market. They have then caused then in case of damage (stone stroke etc) large rust plagges. m fg ortler

  • Rust and hole in the threshold

Hello together. I’ve been a silent reader for a very long time. Now it hit me myself. This month I should go to TÜV. I have already renewed brake discs and pads and back the dust protection of the shock absorbers. I determined that in the entrance area are front 2 rust spots. I with the fan disc a bit eliminated the bubbles and came to the appearance a huge hole. I put in photos to take a picture of it. I got the car exactly 2 years ago. Next week it would be paid off 🙁 At that time there was nothing to see of paint damage. My question to you: is it worth it to have this repair carried out? Estimate for the body builder amounts to over 1000 euros. Or would it be more useful to sell the car as a hobby vehicle? Golf 5 Built 2007 1k1 80 hp mileage approx. 190 000 km. Are there ready-formed parts for the threshold head? Since I am an early retireer and therefore not so flexible I’d be happy to get a realistic statement from you, thank you very much in advance.

  • Treat roof damage

Hello, I have rust on my transit on the roof. I would have had this damage done to a body builder, but because of the repair guarantee only the complete segment would have replaced and possibly also further. Costs md. 2000€. So I prefer to do this myself, in the knowledge that it will not be perfect. The previous owner probably puffed and the rear segment riveted and sealed, under it rusted. I have now largely cleared the sealing mass and already from Hand brushed off the very coarse rust, the finish still follows. (I’m not finished yet!) The fold in the middle cannot be opened. I removed the rivets, but there are always welding points. As I learned in my previous topic, Owatrol would offer itself here, because I can’t get the fold. My procedure would be: – Remove all rust and sealing compound as far as possible, but do not grind the sheet completely blank so that Owatrol can work – apply Owatrol several times everywhere, within 1 week – 3in1 Brantho Korrux one layer – 1 week drying time – apply Korroflex generously on all support surfaces – riveted with stainless steel aluminium rivets – 1 week drying time – follow Korroflex on the roof, original sealing membranes – apply Korroflex from below Oooder is recommended to use a rust converter, if so how to proceed?

  • Winter fitness Logan MCV

Hello, in the meantime already 16’000 Km (since July 08) 5,2 L diesel on average, without problems. I live in Switzerland in hilly terrain, and often also ride on snow and ice in the mountains on weekends. So far I have had very good experiences on snow. Only the great torque of the diesel makes time and again to start on the mountain, especially with hangers, a little more difficult (turning forward wheels), here an AWD desired 🙂 I think that the long wheelbase and the weight distribution of the 7-platter contribute a lot to the neutral driving behaviour on snow. My wife has with her 14-year-old A 160 CDI (225,000 KM) despite (or because) the electr. helpers like ESP,ASR etc. more problems on the same routes. By the way, we both drive with winter tires from Hankok. Who has similar experiences in the Sc Don’t you?
