  • VW Jetta 2006 – Kenwood 9250DAB Navi installation

Hello guys, I need your help. I want to install the Kenwood Navi 9250DAB in my VW Jetta 2006. I don’t have a multifunction steering wheel and also no rear-view camera or similar. In my car the standard speakers are installed, I haven’t changed anything. I need a CAN bus adapter or a Quadlock ISO cable, as I was told in a workshop. However, since the installation was too expensive for me, I want to do it myself. Which adapter should I buy? At ebay there are so v iele, and no one seems to really fit (in all cases the cable does not fit into my new Navi, but in my slot in the car). On the pictures you can see my connection cables in the car and lastly my new Navi Kenwood 9250DAB, what I want to install. Thanks already in advance.

  • Car wheels? Question about the role, who has rolled already?

Hello together. So I’ve already googled and read a lot… Just in advance, I don’t want to “is it nice or not” or “I’d rather paint it” or or or start discussion…. So I have a question about the role, I’ve rolled 2 cars in person, I wasn’t satisfied with the result, not because I didn’t like the color or something, but because I’ve seen every single track of my role… I used Standox 2K color and a foam material olle… The color was undiluted… I read time and again you should take a foam roll, but that was nothing… I see other pictures in the net of rolled cars where you can’t see anything from the rolling tracks… What’s my mistake? Should I dilute the color? Did I use the wrong color? I want to roll a vehicle again next week, but this time with a better result, someone has a link with certain rolls/rolls that he used? Or was it a the color was too “thick liquid” ??? Thank you very much…

  • Moose health check

Hello, the dear friends of the association for the inspection of the moose health want to see the moose every two years and see if his owner has dealt well with him. Now it should happen that one missed the date. If a exceedance of the health examination date of the moose up to two months should nothing happen to the moose driver, also no unnecessary expenses arise? At least so I read Annex VIII 2.1 to §29 STVZO, where for domestically usual moose only one main lower What about late AU? What does the congregation say? (It is clear that the badge is only retroactive, but to do the exam too early would have made even less use of it, because in the sense of a balancing justice one does not get the badge either.)

  • Euro NCAP: The safest cars 2016

Brussels – Toyota is not only ahead of the hybridization of the model range, but also of safety. The hybrid pioneer. The class best in the “middle class” came to 92 percent in passenger safety for adults and 82 percent in children. In pedestrian protection it reached 72 and in assistance systems 85 percent. In the class of the “compact SUV” managed it. It protects adults and children even better (96 and 84 percent) and pedestrians just as well as the Prius. Only with the assistance systems it falls slightly with 68 percent. In the category of the “compact cars” won another hybrid. However, not by Toyota. (91, 80, 70, 82 percent). Also the Mercedes E-Class (95, 90, 77, 62 percent), mainly because of the good protection for children. Nevertheless, there is no “Best in Class” title. Lack of competition, in which the upper class tested Euro NCAP otherwise no car this year. The security organization Euro NCAP lob This year, such systems were included for the first time in the evaluation. Crashtest experts see this as one of the reasons for the growing offer of the assistant on the part of the manufacturers. In total, Euro NCAP tested 18 passenger cars and 4 light commercial vehicles for their behaviour in an accident this year. In ten cases, there was the best rating of five stars. Four more models were available. This “dual rating” was introduced in 2016. According to Euro NCAP, this led to the use of safety technology in many segments that car buyers would otherwise have had to do without. : With material from sp-x

  • Alfa 159 1.8 Does anyone know closer?

Tach sach gesacht, I find the new Alfa 159 really great, since it is still a bit expensive for me at the moment I think I could not hurt an entry-level motorization. It is supposed to come a 1.8, my dealer said. Do you know something closer, he also has gasoline direct injection, how much hp and he has chain drive for the camshafts? I assume that it is the engine from the Opel Vectra, am I right there? Closely are the platform and some gasolineers also modified from the Vectra ve Rbaut. Would be grateful for answers Greeting Alfitsch

  • Washing line and post-processing

Hello, please excuse my absolute ignorance. I would like to pay a little more attention to my new car than I did in the past. My idea is to drive through a textile wash road every 4 weeks. In between, the car is repeatedly sprayed off or insects removed. Since I have never done this right, please correct me. A complete hand wash is not in question. I prepare the car by spraying an insect remover . Which product is available here? Then I drive through the washing line with a program without wax. After the washing line I put on something like a detailer to make the result a little more durable. Here it is not clear to me which product I order. Would Sonax Brilliant Shine or Koch Chemie Quick & Shine be the right one? When insects or other things have landed on the car again, I take the same detailer again and wipe it away quickly?

  • Cars – but still fast & well maintained

Hello, I need your advice, shortly before but to my profile. I drive a service car (3-year-turno) and still strive to drive and leave a well-kept car – but definitely don’t see me under the polishing and waxing and therefore need some tips from a few professionals here like me to take good care of my vehicle outside and windows. I do car care every 3-4 weeks (washing street, no wax, manual drying, suction, interior care, windows au ßen mit Scheibenreiniger) – this takes about 1h and the car is always there really good afterwards. I am prepared for the interior, I have my stuff together and am also satisfied. What I would like to have a recommendation like I can clean my windows well from the inside (non-smoking vehicle) and from the outside maybe even Nano on it. Here I do not want to have such a professional procedure which maybe holds a 3/4-year (too time-consuming for me) – here is enough for me if there is something to give What I can do for laundry anyway. Is there such a disc cleaning agent where Nano is in? I want to think that I have read here somewhere the stuff so there is what is on paint + disk on it? I could just do that after drying on it? Furthermore – highway and fly drift – help! What can I do to mitigate the extreme clinging? My vehicle color is black metallic – detailer ? What is that? Is that too elaborate for me? So, I’m happy to be ready another 30min extra to plan. Greeting mate

  • Survey: How satisfied were you with your smart in 2014?

The year is almost around again and hopefully there is an accident-free and exciting driver year behind you. As in previous years, we would like to take stock at the end of the year and ask you how you came through the year 2014 with your mobile kit. Was everything to your satisfaction or were there worries and annoyances with your vehicle or the service of the manufacturer? How satisfied were you in 2014 with your Smart? Voice in the Survey from time to time as a comment Your praise or criticism. We have to many manufacturers a direct wire and the manufacturers also read on MOTOR-TALK. That’s why your opinion comes exactly where it should end up: With Smart.

  • Smart i.e. lean equipped – why?.

Why are smarts usually so thinly equipped? Certain things are no longer a luxury today – and at Smart, if at all available, comparatively cheap to have. Are smart drivers so modest, or rather kinky? I am thinking of ambient lighting, sitting heating, electric mirrors, etc. Of course you can order some things and maybe also do without them. But if you are used to such things from other cars and are looking for young used or storage cars In addition, I find it a bit bold that money is still required for a drawer or the glove compartment flap. The cars are not so cheap again – for most already overpriced anyway. One certainly does not expect a great luxury. But as I said, many extras are now part of the automotive normality. Smart(driver) should really do something there. By the way, even years of smart drivers. but others too, and then it’s noticeable.
