Hi You, I’m playing with the thought of maybe getting a used 156, but which one should you take! (1.6 , 1.8 , 2.0) Which one is the one you can most recommend, and which one holds the longest! What problems does it have/does such a thing? Have you heard that with ALFA often the electrics should spin and is just very unreliable! How much truth is there? What should one pay attention to when buying? Be happy about every answer!

  • XKR. “twit noises” at cold start

Good day to the community, after reading some posts, I think with my Fzg. Jaguar XKR EZ. 2000 Silverstone convertible to be right here. There are some things to read about noise development after cold start, however, I find nothing comparable to my phenomenon. “With me chirping ́s” (no I have no bird) after the cold start the first 2-3 km quite loud. From the stationary gas at speed dependent, high frequency. Redirection roller timing belt WAPU are Kpl. renewed.! Even if it is l sounds usual, but “twisting” is 100% the soundscape. Maybe someone has experienced the same symptom and knows remedy. Another question about the interior equipment: The Fzg. has now 64 tsd. Km but the driver’s seat is something of “sustainless” as I have it with no Fzg. “cooperative”. Is this to be considered as “normal”? I am happy about feedback Stefan

  • X-Type used cars, why so cheap?

I used to look at the usual internet pages for used cars and just looked at them BIS 10,000€….with big eyes I had to find out that I see a jaguar xtype with about 140,000km for 9500€. I thought to myself: ah…is anyway fucker…looked again… but that wasn’t the only… there are several in this price segment with similar running power and similar construction year. I always had the introduction: ui..jaguar…only for people with a thick wallet. I think I’m not the only one who thinks so. therefore: why is the xtype (but also stype) so cheap??

In the meantime, it looked like there was hardly any hope. But at the last minute, a rescue from Opel still seems to succeed. There was a fundamental agreement between Magna and GM, said several people familiar with the situation of the news agency Reuters. “There is a cream. dpa also reported on government circles, Magna and GM had agreed. Also, the news agency AP from Detroit learned that there was an agreement. Because of the talks, a government meeting was postponed to Opel in the chancellor’s office. Government and representatives of the companies still discussed separately in the evening. According to information from economic minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg (CSU), Magna presented new ideas for He stressed that the outcome of the talks was open. He was not sure whether an agreement could be reached at the summit scheduled for Friday evening, however, Vice-Chancellor Frank-Walter Steinmeier urged a decision to be taken on Saturday night. “I am working to ensure that a solution could be reached tonight,” said the SPD politician. However, the situation was still difficult. “We need a resilient, sustainable result for the future,” he said. “I am and remain confident that a solution can be found if everyone is aware of this responsibility.” Magna on the finish line Magna is likely to have the best cards for joining Opel at the summit with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU). Now the agreement still has to be approved by the federal government as guarantor for the necessary bridge financing. “There is little hope here, but no security yet,” said the Reuters circles. However, there is still a dispute with Washington about a trust model that should bridge the time from the expected GM insolvency to the investor’s entry. Now it is gradually becoming more concrete, how it goes on with opel. according to everything you hear/see/read, one gradually learns more about future concepts. according to Wirtschaftsminister gutenberg, there will be cuts in the workplaces in each case. as with other auto-farmers, because there are overcapacity. the talk is today of 30%, so it could almost every third job at opel fall away. no matter if magna gets in or fiat or signs up another solution. here the a rtikel mit gutenberg:http://www.faz.net/…/…48C292252D17293CD~ATpl~Ecommon~Scontent.html what do you think? what can opel do best? even the employees there? is it enough to build good cars again? or must more happen?

  • Unbelievable – VW vs Opel

It is possible to ask Opel and the question of state aid for the company as one wishes, but that Mr W. from WOB in the mirror should have said that the state of Opel should not help, the bottom of the barrel falls. That Lower Saxony, therefore the state, is involved in VW itself with around 20% and thus of course improves the ability of the company to lend to the competition and that VW Bank itself has applied for state guarantees of billions, since with the popular cars can be sold even cheaper, Mr. W. conceals. Unbelievable!!! I will never buy a VW again and also advise anyone I know from it! Such arrogance and disrespect deserves boycott all along the line. http://www.ftd.de/…/481170.html

  • Seicento 0.9 extremely weak on the chest?

Hello together, I drove the Seicento of my girlfriend today. I noticed that the box is extremely lame. Sure, I don’t expect any miracles at 900cc and 39hp but there should be more than 120km/h in it on a flat track, right? Starting was enough, there was a distance of 15km. 😉 At least there are 140km/h in the papers. I will look at the air filter tomorrow and turn the spark plugs out. I didn’t notice any problems. Oh yes, the car is Bj 98 and has 133tkm on the clock. Best regards Kris
