  • Slim S jerks at lower speeds

Had today the 2 year warranty check with my Slim S (110 inch). From the beginning I moored the ruching in the lower speed range, during braking with motor, (under 1500 rpm). So for example at 2500 rpm gas away and only slow down with the engine brake. The first measure was the purchase of a “super tuner” on advice from my dealer, who then adjusted the motorcycle. The effect was that the Slim S had even more power but the jerking didn’t get much less. I was then told by the mechanic that a jerking in the lower speed range would be normal. I then settled down with it until I drove with my brother’s Slim (103 inch) at the beginning of this year, which drove at the same test as described above up to under 1000 rpm as on rails and without jerking. The workshop then tried a lot but without great success. The latest attempt today, the stand gas increased to 1000 rpm. about not so nice with the high stand gas. Therefore my question: has or someone had the same problem. Are there ways to get the jerking away. Thank you for your help!

  • Stuttering, misignition, gas acceptance

Moin together, I drive a Forty Eight XL1200X from the 2010 BJ and would need your advice…. I bought the bike used in May (23,000km) the first 600km she ran really well but then came my current “problem”. The donkey does not take the gas properly (speed independent) and bangs at the gas give out extreme misfires and stutters like wild. We once changed the spark plugs and put up a new ignition coil…surprisingly she ran really well 200km and now again the same problem. It’s a creeping eagle system and an open air filter on it…I don’t know if the machine has been re-set or any other…. Do you have an idea what it might be? Best regards from HH Buddy

  • FXSTB starts badly

Hello Fan?, with my FXSTBII Night Train from 2009 I have a problem. This starts very badly. I had the battery last winter on the maintenance charger. In the spring almost nothing went, so I installed a new battery. With booster this jumped on, but it lighted from time to time to the yellow engine control light. Today I cleaned the candles. In the first attempt the moped jumped very well, in the second and third try then worse and now the new one seems Battery to be empty again, it also comes the red battery symbol. What can this be! Either a consumer constantly pulls the battery empty or this is not charged by the alternator anymore. What do you suspect and how do I get closer to the cause? Thomas

  • Gasoline instead of diesel fuelled

Hello dear forum members, have now the tiger in the tank! Could slap my face, but out of all frustration over a private problem, when refueling did not pay attention and now the salad! Car ran without a problem still about 800 m, I turned it off, wanted to start again after ten minutes and already the problems started. Has hardly jumped on ran extremely rough, and after about 100 m was ended. Since first a light went on to me, check the tank receipt from the vending machine and see, I made crap! M a question to you: 1. Is the engine completely over? 2. What does the repair Bzw. exchange cost? 3. Does it make sense to try it yourself whether with tank drains and properly refuel ev, the problem is done? 4. If so, where do I have to start? I am grateful for every comment, and yes , you may also laugh!!!!

  • Saab 9-3 Anniversary – gasoline or diesel??

Hello Saabistas, I’ve been watching the Saab threads for a long time, but I’m here for the first time to post a topic. Therefore: Hello Saab fans and thanks for the many infos I’ve been able to get out of the threads so far. In short: I’ve been driving a Saab 900i 16v BJ 1990, from which I’ve never wanted to break up, but which is supposed to leave my property these days and make room for another vehicle. -5 Kombi brought, however, I have now arrived at the little brother 9-3, because a 9-5 in the city actually makes little sense. Now I am faced with a short-term decision between two 9-3 Anniversary, one a diesel BJ at the end of 2001, the other a petrol BJ in mid 2002. Equipment side, mileage and condition both the same. Apart from a apparently higher running noise of the diesel I have found so far little comparison information. n insightful ADAC test on diesel, but little about the petroler. So where are further differences and which is ultimately the recommended one? Did someone ever make the same decision and then decide for one reason or another for petrolers, respectively diesel? With me the decision is for Wednesday. Would I be happy if I could get some food for the decision-making. Thank you, Klaucy

  • Access petrol pump

Hello everyone, after I died a few days ago with the petrol pump, and I had to find out that for the purpose of replacing this pump you have to remove the tank, the result was clear: that was my last Saab. How can you make such a tremendous design mistake? Either it was intentional or simple idioty. Both are not good for the reputation of this brand. You can’t assemble such a thing more crazy. As far as it is so bad. However, ch raised the back seat to measure whether the pump has any juice at all, the chinlade fell on my chest: there is a hole there. Unfortunately, this hole has been cut 10 cm too far to the right. If it were in the right place, you could replace the pump from the interior. Are there any more delusional errors in the world? Probably hardly. With every x-any car, there is a lid above the petrol pump, over which you can then comfortably over the interior Even with the 9000s and if I am not crazy at the 900-I this is solved so. Well. Horrible. Now I have thought, with the Dremel simply to expand the hole so that I can get there also from above. Is this a good idea, or do I overlook something important? My next car will at least then become a W124. There is no such a pathetic, unbearable and stupid bullshit. I look forward to further tips on the topic of greetings from HH

  • W140 Request comments!

I’m going to sell my W124 and want to buy a bigger Mercedes. I revel between a SL R129 and the S-Class W140.I know that you can’t compare these two cars and that some people probably think what selection criteria I choose but that’s not the topic. In the middle of next year I have about 15000 euros available. For that there are already a SL of the first years of construction but I would like to buy one from 93 I would only take the 500SL.Now for the W140.I would take the 420 and the 500.320 would be too sluggish for me.In my 124er it runs very fast but the 140er weighs much more.My weight is 1500Kg and the 140er certainly 1900-2000Kg or??The 600er falls outside because I am too cheap for this in terms of maintenance costs (Sprit, taxes etc.)Repairs etc. goes by myself.Replacement source is also secure. My question goes to all 320er 420 He and 500 W140 drivers. What do I pay attention to when I buy and from which year of construction do I not have to complain about child diseases?Reicht der 420er as far as the driving performance is concerned about the 500er?Has seen an offer on the Internet: 500S,1 previous owner,178000Km,year of construction at the end of 92 I believe. Equipment was fully as far as I get this together. Price was 9200Euro The car is very appealing and I have a lot to do with vehicles from MB on the part of my job but from the 140er I don’t know anything at all except d He engines. I thank you for your tips. PS:We don’t need to talk about taxes, insurances, consumption etc. That’s all already clear to me.

  • Strong oil consumption in a new car. Normal?

Hello, my father has used a heavy oil consumption in his Mercedes (built in 2002, registered for 6 months). In fact, within 6 months the car consumed approx. 2.8 liters of oil on approx. 4800 km. I picked up the car from Mercedes earlier and talked to the master. He said the engines may need up to 0.8 liters per 1000 km. He also said that there is very thin liquid oil in the engine, which is why he consumes more. What do you think? Ouch because they have no idea, or perhaps want to save work? We did not have to pay anything for refilling the oil. Is that normal or does that suggest something?
