  • Should I buy an XC90?

    Dear Forum Fellows, my question may seem a little strange, but it is serious to me: It is about deciding whether I should buy a new car this year or next year. My current FZ, V70, full equipment, EZ 04/2004, now has 165Tkm on the counter, next year I will definitely exceed the 200Tkm limit. The vehicle is paid off. I am very satisfied with the car, it drives well, reliable and comfortable, also for the family (2 children, 1 dog) is enough space, so no objective reason to change. After some emotional moments (new car is always great, and I find the XC90 also great!) I come to the sober realization that another car does not offer me any real added value either, so only the question arises whether an economic disadvantage arises due to the fact that I still wait with the replacement purchase. Factors that for a new purchase (or a new car order, it should be a new car by the way) are still in 2007, as well as to a possible high discount for the first part of the quota, not used for the next part of the price, but for the next part of the price.

    Moin, I need a replacement gearbox for my Volvo V70 I 2.3 T5 built in 1997. Engine: B5234T3 The 5 gear manual gearbox with a translation of 4,00:1 is searched for by someone who knows which part number is right for this vehicle? I have received several contradictory statements from dealers. Also with Google the confusion is larger than smaller. 36050253 Was mentioned to me by the Volvo workshop. However, at ebay I find only the indication that this number should fit only to the 2.0 T. ??? The same workshop has given me the original number 1208922.     For the 850 and S/V/C70 switches, I have a few sockets that have to be mounted between the switching ropes and transmissions. The parts have been created from Teflon. Volvo sells these parts not only completely with the switching ropes A set costs 20€ incl. the Segering rings and Porto in the envelope. At Europeean Tuning there is the alleridings slightly changed shape and 2x expensive installation is quite simple : air filter must be removed, the fuse must be removed (reused) then switch rope out, old rubber bush out, new in, Segering on it, fuse on it, air filter back. Advantages are a much more direct switching. Payment and handling via PN. 10 sets are still to have, 3 are already sold. If the demand becomes very large I can still make them, but then it takes about 2 months until I have them. Greeting Cristian

  • Switch fuses (WTF?) at the Peugeot

    Dear forum, my Peugeot 607 now celebrates my 1-year anniversary and it drives like a lion. Only occasionally error messages like “airbag defective” or recently I can not hear my interlocutor at the telephone system. He however can understand me very well. I thought, maybe it is because of the fuses! When I then looked in the manual, I hit a light blow as I saw the fuses (see photo). Can it be that the seller did not want to use these correctly and adequately???? I know unfortunately not so well, but there are a few fuses missing here or? A week before the purchase, actually still worked, that the side mirrors snapped in randomly, if one shut down the car. When I then bought the car, it did not go any more. Only the doors, luggage room allowed to be closed. Can it be that he has randomly inserted a few fuses? Is that so correct? Maybe this would explain that my seat heating does not work, side mirrors do not fold in and I do not get the error message, if I want to be quite happy here, if I want a security link!

    Hello dear friends, my Renault Laguna Grandtour (IDE) is only having problems.I don’t like to drive it any more, although we’ve been friends for nine years. Four weeks ago it appears in the display: “ESP disturbed, injector defective”, emergency running program, after every reset, i.e. restart, the same problem. So, off on the tow truck to the workshop, petrol filter replaced, until today all BESTENS. Well, today the same problem as described above. Now towed by rope, suddenly the electronics failed. WHAT has my car for problem with the injector? That can’t be due to the additives, I’ve filled nine years of super. BITTE, I need your help, tips, suggestions. I’m getting really desperate.   • Winter tyres for XC60: 18 inches or 17 inches ?

    Sometime it may be winter, then I need winter tyres for my XC60. I have to buy new tyres and rims. To choose from the Volvo dealer, Pirelli ́s are available in the format 235/65 R17 on rim 7.5 x 17 and 235/60 R18 on rim 7.5 x 18. The rims are each original Volvo rims (Segin / Leda). The price difference between the two alternatives is “only € 200. My current summer shoes are 265/60 on the 18th Leda rims with the standard chassis (nix touring etc.). I feel that this is relatively hard, but I am also spoiled by another Swedish quality product. Since the two winter alternatives do not differ in the tyre width, it doesn ́t really matter what I would take. Even the tyre prices for a future repurchase are not so far apart. For optical reasons, I tend to tend to the 18-inch variant. Are the 17-wheels much more comfortable compared to the 18-wheels or do not notice anything about it? Or do you think there are 17 reasons for another?
