  • Final stage into the side section of the V40

Hello Elchgemeinde! would like to put a Helix HXA400 Esprit in the trunk, but the left side part seemed to me as optimal (compared to the series Subwoofer) Here I imagined to bend a sheet metal in the shop, on which I can then screw the final stage on it. My question would be now, because everything in the trunk is covered with fabric. How I could make the sheet metal there best without much effort… Can I fold the cover material straight away, so that I can get down to the sheet metal !? Would it be possible to make it so that not too much of the original is damaged or that it could be rebuilt afterwards.

  • 1.6 Diesel transmission gradation funny ??

Hello Drive for 7 years car and my new C-30 R-Design 1.6D MY09 is the first in which I noticed the circuit extremely well. I can’t switch to the 4 gears in the city at 50 km/h without becoming extremely low-touring (drive the moter and want to avoid that) With my old S40 1.6 petrol engine I drove around at 55 km/h in the 5 gears now I can only turn at 75 km/h in the 5th gears with the 1.6 diesel it comes to me that the 3rd gear is translated for the 3rd gears i.e. when I switch to the 4th gears the number falls extremely (in contrast to the other gears). Have read in a test that the 3 gears is translated briefly to speed up better. At work I drive a Citroen Jumpy with the same 1.6 diesel engine there I don’t have these problems What do you mean?

  • Horizontal guide lines Rearview camera

Hello together, because of a longer workshop stay of my XC90 (MJ2017) another XC90 from Sixt (MJ2018). I noticed that the one from Sixt had in the rear camera (simple variant, not 360 degrees) so horizontal guide lines in the camera image, which, depending on the approach to an obstacle from green over yellow to red, indicated. I find a great thing. Unfortunately, my XC90 didn’t…. my dealer doesn’t know any advice here. According to his statement, the XC90 would not have been on the yard, you don’t know how to “refit” it. The latest firmware/software is installed on my apparently (in the display is last software update October 2017). Does anyone know what it means?

  • XC90 Built. 2018 Connect amplifier to existing sound system

Just bought me an XC90 (just approved) and unfortunately only ordered the normal sound system + sub. Since this is bad or the speakers hit in the front doors, I thought about the existing, factory-installed power stage to connect another proper 4channel power stage. The cables, which go from the installed power stage towards the speaker, go now first into the new power stage via Hi-Level Input. I use this input, because Chinch unfortunately is not available. I am satisfied with the sound as well. However, only sound comes from the speakers, if I pull off one of the speaker cables for a short time and plug them back in again. As soon as the ignition is off and the power stage restarts, nothing comes out of the speakers. A speaker cable pulls off again and plugs in, then sound comes again. Does anyone have any idea what to do to fix the problem?

  • Standing climate at XC90 t8 TwinEngine

Moin dear forum! Just registered and already the second question. This time to the standing climate. I read in the instructions that it only runs with cable – I think it is completely ok. Recently my Volvo said something like “pre-climate, since petrol level is too low”. Of course it was still cold, and therefore it was only driven on petrol (-5°C). Since I had to start spontaneously with cold car I suspect that it warms the batteries in the first time before it changes from petrol to E. However, I did not find that exactly in the instructions. My Volvo dealer meant at first however also, that one should always preheat the batteries, that is better. Only what does the petrol stand have to do with it? I thought, he heats and cools electrically. Or am I wrong there? I hope you know more! Many greetings Ben

  • V60 Purchase advice Ocean Race vs. Momentum

After a long time we decided against the new V40 and for the V60. Here’s my compilation: V60 T3 Momentum/ or Ocean Race Business Pro Pack Security Pack Winter Pro Pack fitting sensor ZF Servo driver seat electric My better half doesn’t find leather so sparkling. They mean they get so warm in the summer and you sweat more than with the T-Tec. The other problem is the color. Electric Silver seems to be a bit tricky to hear. But the washing system will only see the new one every few months. The blue of the Ocean Race is also in the selection. But I have never seen it live. Currently we drive the V70 2.5FT with partial leather outer color Oyster Grey.

  • Luggage compartment lid flaps update

after the friendly on one day twice docked on the forever crackling and clapping tailgate. (Hello a 50000 EUR car and rattles after 20,000 km like a Trabbi!!) then appeared in the VIDA the message that one should work on the final repair and until then the lubricating oil etc.. Has already jmd. a final solution installed ? (no I mean not welding the flapster box :-)) )

  • XC90II and Heico performance increase

Moin municipality, I get in a few weeks my new thick, a D5 AWD. Currently I drive an XC60I D4 AWD with Heico performance increase, which is really fun. The cart drives fast, splashy and is noticeably more agile in acceleration and elasticity. So a little more (click here) there is also for the XC90 and I play with the idea of “doing it again”. Considering the little bitches that the software still does/could do, I don’t know if this is a really good idea. Yes, I know Polestar and the discussions regarding warranty, possible damage etc., but because of the good experiences have no “Frucht” in front of Heico. Only that there is about the bitches that still exist CAN Gezerre between Volvo and Heico. That’s theory, but maybe you have experiences or a sound opinion. Thanks & Greetings, Alex

  • Wind/driving noise Volvo V60

Hi all, Since a good 1500KM we now have our V60. Everything top, except the driving noises caused by the wind. about 40 – 80 kmh – light noise, depending on how strong the wind is out there is about 120 – 180 kmh – there consistently, whereby it becomes slightly quieter from 170. Problematic because it is of course in the areas where you drive most. So in the city and on the train where I actually never drive faster than 170. Do you have maybe something similar to watch? Suggestions what I could do? Is annoying when you spend a lot of money on a new car and the driving fun is clouded by something like that. My old cluttered Alfa 156 had such problems e.g. not. I looked at the car once closely and can not see anything with the mere eye where the noises could come from. Only two edges of the roof railing in aluminum optics have been seen. There the wind could break and cause noise.

  • New XC 60

Hello people I wanted to let you know as soon as possible that we were able to receive our new XC 60 D5 since January 30. First I have to say that I was impressed with what changed in 21/2 years. With the Senus system we got quite clear. But the absoltute hammer is the new D5 with 215 hp for me, because at first we wanted (OHL) and I had a Polestar tuning played, good that we did not do it,because the part runs toppp and is more subdued and thus quieter in the lower speed range than the predecessor with 205 hp. However, fortunately the engine still has a gnarly sound but much more subtle. I will be in March when the weather has improved still the pictures with the mounted Brock rims and from inside. Otherwise it was first and we are happy to get into the elk every day.
