  • Unbelievable (high Audi service prices)

I drive an Audi 100 C4 2,8l V6 Bj 1991 with 121000 km. 1 hand, Rendnerhand. After buying the good piece I went to the search for artificial prices to quickly exchange the old timing belt, oil change ect. Then I thought to myself to drive to Audi. Because it certainly comes well in the checkbook to have an Audi stamp.Zwegs resale, what I will not do anyway. Audi then reported the following without a joke: timing belt: incl spanner 680€ water pump: 280€ oil change: 160€. Then asked already: “Are there gold components in it.??????;-)” Then he already looked a bit funny.! Keilrimmen: 140€ there I had to laugh. (he did not.) When I asked then: the Audi is not yet registered, I can still throw 20€ into the coffee box to get red number short.! (the workshop is located about 200m air line.) said the A…. but it is not so expensive, but it is to say that it is still expensive!

  • Smart 451 speedometer without function

Hello dear friends I hope someone can help me. With my smart 451 cabrio build year 2010, every once in a while the complete tacho fails. But car runs quite normal. I know the trick with the battery disconnecting that helps again and again for several months. But would like to find out the cause. Please help me. Thank you friends. Sincerely Christian

  • Recommendation All-weather tyres

So. Is now finally ready, my “new”Smart is at the door. 84 PSler But he needs new shoes. All-weather shoes. Does anyone have experience with the brands here? Kumho – I don’t want. Hankook – I once had as a summer tire. Was very satisfied. But as a winter tire he didn’t work at all on our Cherokee. Vredestein – ? Falken – ? Conti – is worth the extra price? Tyres VO 175 / HI 195 I’m curious about your experiences

  • Which torque wrench? What moment?

Hy people, I want to change my winter tires myself, but I need a torque wrench for it, what size is needed for it? So [1/2″] is now my guess …. And what moment must be set???

  • C30 7.5/8J x 18-inch Which ET fits without reworking?

Hello everyone, I drive a C30 D5 with AEZ Xylo 7.5×18 ET43 with 225/40-18 tires. This went without rework and it grinds nothing, although I also have a 30mm lowering. Now we will get another C30 (D3) and are looking for 18-inch rims for this, which I fit with 30mm lowering. Unfortunately, the Xylo will not be produced more than 18inch and I don’t like the Ronal R41 so much. At 8×18 ET45 I find only rims with runs. I would be interested here whether someone drives an 8×18 ET45 rim or a 7.5×18 ET40 rim with 225/40 and has got it removed without rework, although it is something in most reports. And if what rims have fit with you with which tires? Here is a typical edition K42 on axle 2 by reworking the wheelhouse edges a sufficient free-accessibility of the wheel tire combination. Greetings Mutalisk

  • ELECTRONICS L300

Hello, I need the help of a Mitsubishi L300 “Electronics connoisseur”; and that is that since a radio change, the “cockpit lighting” doesn’t work anymore– there is extra security for this eventl.ne or did I cut through the ground cable (are they hanging together at all?) In any case, it’s pretty stupid to drive in the dark at this time of year; I thank you in advance for help and tips.

  • Start problems; spark plugs/starters?

The first battery was already very old and I immediately assumed that it was the battery when it gradually started to start up worse. So new battery here and then worked again but gradually it started to start worse again (that’s where I stayed and had 120km away before I had to go directly to ATU and expensive new battery). So and now 3 weeks ago again a new battery, again the same game. Since I have the new one (i.e. 3 weeks) it starts again gradually and again worse. Randinfos: – Light engine was measured before and after every battery change and also today (with running engine 14,8V) – I unfortunately drive a lot of short distance (1-10km) When starting the starter spins out and it only jumps after 2-4 seconds. Maybe this is getting worse with the time until it doesn’t start at all because the starter can probably turn on the battery and after so empty it’s too often enough that it doesn’t happen again? But then maybe the reason for me to start again.

  • Bella jumped bad for 2 days, today she went out while driving

Hello and good day, I read here again and again when I have problems with my Bella and until now I have always found a solution here, but now I despair. The following problem, I had problems in the last few days already, usually I just have to get in and look at the ignition key and already started it. That was not so in the last days then, already wondered. Now I drove and suddenly he just went out during the ride and does not jump on. The curious is, the ADAC came and solved a hose, there brake cleaners??? (can that be?) pure sprayed and Bella jumps and runs. Car off, engine starts without the “trick” and the car does not jump on. Battery Top compression Top at the beginning of July tooth straps completely changed (third paint), climate compressor incl. all rolls and belts changed, pants tube exchanged, transverse steerer in front completely exchanged. And now it doesn’t jump on? About tips and tricks I would be very grateful, greeting Andreana

  • Battery apparently dead, ADAC wanted to switch for 120 €?

Moin, this morning I wanted to get to work, get into my Alfa 147 1.9 JTD and turn the key upside down and it did something for a short time, so once a short display was lit up and after that everything was dark, only the airbag lamp flashed around uncontrollably until the one was off. So ADAC called, which meant the battery is completely on the ass, I need a new one, he would install me for 120 €. Somehow I remembered the batteries should not cost 120 € and so I rather called my contract workshop, because I still have a service voucher for it. Since the ADAC that he can give me start help, but the battery is so dead that he can go out in the middle of it and it would not be good for the electronics too. So I asked if he can drag me to the workshop, he meant no, for a battery is not worth the effort, he already has a new one………I was already Baff, because I actually assumed that the ADAC dragged me through at least to my workshop and I am not forced to buy one over the battery for a long time.

  • Timing belt change Alfa Romeo 156 at 120,000 km?

Hello, I bought an Alfa Romeo 156 1.9 JTD from 1st hand with a completely guided service booklet. It was approved for the first time in 2004 and now has 120,000 km down. According to the service booklet, the timing belt would have to be changed for the first time at this mileage level. However, a change already took place in 2013 at 57,000 km. This was probably rather unscheduled. My question now in the round: Should I change the timing belt anyway or is this now rather unnecessary? Thank you already in advance for your answers!
