  • Interest in the 200 SX

Meal! Interested me for a 200 SX (S14), wanted to know what you have to consider when buying, whether you can buy engines with higher running power even without the one loader or engine flying around the ears. Then I would like to know how to drive a car with turbocharger best and would like to have tuning links (very many). Actually come from the Honda scene, but would like to inform me about the part, maybe the SX will be the next project. Would be nice if Someone could tell me about the car. MfG -Crossfire-

  • 2014 Outback 2.0D CVT – comical behavior in cold

Hello, so our new Outback 2.0D CVT has finally arrived for about 2 weeks. After the first 800km I am still adapting to the car (I drove for 10 years Skoda Octavia 1.6), but in general I find the new Outback great. Since the first colder days and nights are there, I have observed a strange behavior. If the engine is cold (i.e. 5 degrees or less), the CVT goes quickly to the higher speeds even if you give only little gas. To get from 0 to 50 with The engine turns 2500 and gives hardly any power. Compared to warmer engines, the speeds in normal driving (and at speeds up to 100kmh) do not actually exceed 2000. If you switch from “D” to “M”, the behavior of the CVT changes nothing at all – as if you were not in “M” mode. This strange behavior takes only about 2-3 minutes – after that the speeds go down abruptly again to normal level . I could observe it at a constant speed of about 85 kmh – after a short time the speeds suddenly came down from 2100 to about 1600. After that also the “M” mode worked again normal. I will soon ask at dealers, but it would be great if someone had an idea here. thank you

  • There’s SCR with urea solution.

Moin, I thought this morning, why do you still use AGR in diesel engines today? Sure, as an intermediate stage, where you didn’t have any corresponding catalysts with urea injection, AGR was a suitable way to lower the combustion temperature and thus the production of NOx. The associated problems are well known. So why not just leave out and make the whole with a possibly larger SCR Kat and an adapted urea quantity com Do you have any opinions or scientific articles? Thank you. LG Micha

  • Turbo damage due to bad fuel, wrong octane number? TFSI

Actually it’s about the TFSI VAG engines. In the instructions it says, you should use 98 octan fuel, but it’s also 95 octan fuel. Does the manufacturer do this, in order not to have to prescribe the unconditional use of 98 fuel, which may make the sale difficult. With the old TT with the 1.8T engine, there were several variants. The smallest had 150 Ps at 0.65 charge and needed only 95 octan, the next 180 hp with 0.8 charge needed 98 octan, the 224 hp also 98m octan . Therefore the conclusion. Do not the TFSI need from house 98 octan, and only the knock control prevents worse. Next conclusion. With chipped TFSI there would not be 98 octan already the lower limit, and with further use of 95 octan even more knocks and uncontrolled combustion and therefore also more turbo damage in Chiptuing. How does the knocking affect the loader ?

  • FORD TDCI 2.2 vs. BMW 320d

In this case I have limited myself to a BMW 320d or the Mondeo TDCI 2.2 available from spring. Clearly, the BMW of the athletes is among the two. But what about workmanship, comfort, service and costs. I want absolute full equipment with Touchscreemnavi etc. Write me your experiences about the current TDCI. I’m both already trying to find out more about the new TDCI. The BMW is clearly better off, but Ford is cheaper in all areas. Thank you very much in advance. mfg rb

  • Mazda News

Unfortunately, the editorial work will not continue at MT. This obviously also eliminates news about the manufacturers in general. In the accompanying press release it is announced that Mazda will only participate in one car fair per continent, but will be represented at many other non-automobile events. The participation at this year’s IAA in Frankfurt in the autumn has already been cancelled. Mazda will be represented at the car fair in Geneva in March with e in the world premiere of a new vehicle.https://www.mazda-press.com/…/ Addition: the new model is now also speculated in the USA: Will a successor for the CX3 be presented in Geneva in March 2019 ?https://www.carscoops.com/…/

  • Are all contract workshops like this?

I’ve been driving a Range Rover Sport for almost 3 years and I’ve had this checkbook maintained. The previous owner of my car dropped out of inspection and so I’ve had it made up for. All of this has cost thousands of Euros in the last years and I always had the feeling that I’m a petitioner and I have to accept that my car is just gone for a few days for such an inspection and no one can say how many – even if you have a The previous trip has been announced, then you have to exercise in patience and it cannot be said whether the car is finished. Now my car had “acute problems” with the brake pedal slips through, but brakes normally. Therefore I should bring the car by and they would push it “in between”. I brought the car to the workshop on Monday and until today Friday I just heard nothing – today I asked by mail and nothing… Could the not a little Is this normal for a contract workshop ? How do your workshops behave ?
